Problems sync time in windows 7

"An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.nist.gov. This operation returned because the timeout period expired"
Windows 7 ultimate
I have tried all different servers, disable firewall, disable antivirus, no proxy, no VPN, and the same problem arises. Please help.
I already tried stopping WIndows Time services, then starting again. I set to automatic and still does not work.

do you have OA set to use advanced mode
If you do then that blocks everything by default that you haven't specifically allowed. and is blocking the nntp service using the dns service
switch to standard mode . Do the time checks & update and then switch back to advanced mode
However. you should also note that NNTP time checks won't work or alter the time if the time is out by more than 23 hours"
If this is not the case have you tried this cmd-prompt(run as admin) command:
w32tm /resync

Problem syncing 9360 with Windows Calendar using version 7.0

Hi. Since downloading BB desktop version 7.0 I am no longer able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and memo functions from my Curve 9360 to my laptop using the USB connection. When I attempt to do so I get the following error messages:
'Synchronisation Error - Error while reading field value'
also:
'Synchronisation Error - Error opening data store accessor object'
Also when attempting to configure and sync the MEMO function I get the following error message:
'The organiser applications on your computer aren't supported

same problem here, need help. All was fine till i updated the bold9000 to 5.0 and than the same error on all my blackberry syncing devices Torch9800 and the bold9000. Message is in german:"Fehler beim öffnen eines Datenspeicherungs-Zugriffsobjekts" english:"Error opening data store accessor object".
I dont understand how this could happen.

Time sync issues after windows update

Hi,
After running a windows update on VM PDC controller server can't syncronize time with online pool (update took approx 10 minutes). Event log is showing error ID 50 (The time service detected a time difference of greater than 5000 milliseconds for 900 seconds)
and time is off for 10 minutes which causes problems with Exchange and Lync services.
According to event log there has been 4 succesful connections with NTP servers before event 50 appeared on log:
The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source 1.uk.pool.ntp.org,0x1 (ntp.m|0x1|0.0.0.0:123->178.79.191.28:123).
The time provider NtpClient is currently receiving valid time data from 2.uk.pool.ntp.org,0x1 (ntp.m|0x1|0.0.0.0:123->87.117.251.45:123).
The time provider NtpClient is currently receiving valid time data from 3.uk.pool.ntp.org,0x1 (ntp.m|0x1|0.0.0.0:123->178.79.160.57:123).

Server is not taking time from bare metal as it's running on Hyper-V and it seems that it's not syncing during startup correctly. Is there a possibility that there can be a config issue as it's working fine when reboot doesn't take too long?

1. For sure, there in VM settings you have time synchronization from host unchecked.
2. Network monitor will reveal what happens when you stop annd start Windown Time service and Systém Event log contains relevant data.

Got phone, set up latest version of pcsuite ver 6.70.22 via bluetooth.

Teurastaja, that is not how my sync works with Nokia 6681.
- I get most of my additions to phonebook to the phone, because that is where I add new contact (someone call me and I add that new contact to phone book etc.)
- I "clean up" my contacts like you do, using Outlook, it is more convinient that way, like you say.
- I get 95% most of my calendar stuff to Exchange server(Outlook)and sometimes I add meetings etc. to my phone
Then I syncronise my phone automatically over Bluetoooth everytime I am connected to my PC (this happens 3-4 times/day).
And it works, if I delete something in Outlook, it gets deleted from phone. additions to phone and Outlook get added to "the other end" as well.
I never touch my sync settings and I have "update in both directions" in use.
This is they way it should work and it works as long as you don't change the settings every so often, that confuses the sync and makes it run a "first time sync" and that causes the sync to rewrite the deleted stuff back.

Problems accessing Time Capsule on windows Vista

I have an iMac running Leopard and a laptop running Vista Home Edition. I'm having some problems accessing Time Capsule from the Vista machine. everytime I click to access the drive, a message appears in the menu bar of the window that says (not responding). I've tried leaving it. I've even changed my entire wireless network to bypass the original g router (belkin) to use TC, so I now have TC as my router, Belkin just setup as a wired broadband modem but I still get the same problem. The mac seems fine, although I have had quite a few issues with drop outs.
both machines have the latest version of Airport Utility and Bonjour.
The laptop is a recent purchase to replace a dead XP machine, this worked fine and I managed to get stuff backed up just before it died, thankgod.
Any help appreciated.

No problem seeing Time Capsule with iMac, Dell desktop XP Home, Dell notebook XP Pro, and Fusion with XP Pro. All installed according to the installation guide. Installed AirPort Utility on all machines and updated firmware to 7.3.1. To see the other machines, make sure file sharing is on. Firewall on the PCs may need to be turned off. The printer plugged into the USB port also worked with all the XP systems and the iMac with a few missing features on iMac (I am assuming different driver issues). BTW, logging onto the created network and accessing the Time Capsule HD are separate. If you've entered different passwords for the HD and wireless networking when setting up Time Capsule initially (which I did through the iMac first), you'll need to enter them separately with the XP machines. You could also try resetting Time Capsule. Seems to work for others.

Unfortunately you cannot use a Forms.Timer without using a windows form (ie not a SBO form). Have you looked at the other 2 timer objects in .Net, the System.Timer.Timer and System.Threading.Timer? Here's a link to a web page that goes through the differences between each one:

Sync photos from Windows XP problems

Problem syncing photos to AppleTV. The AppleTV is connected to an Apple Airport. The Airport also is set up with a disk drive. All my photos are stored on that drive. The AppleTV is set up to sync with my Dell (windowsXP Pro)laptop running iTunes. It syncs music, TV shows, podcasts, all OK.
I found the Airport drive and all the file folders appear in the selection window, but when one of the files is selected and you try to sync, it just goes into a sync loop, forever. Not sure what to do - any suggestions

I played around with the ITUNES pictures till I figured out what works for me. In my docs, my pictures is a folder called Itunes photos. I drag the photos I want to sync into that folder. In ITUNES I can select the appropriate ATV and in the photos tab, tell it to sync that folder. They show up.
Rather than try and figure out how ITUNES and the ATV actually work (too painful for this DOS guy) I just leave the settings alone and manage my synced photos in that aforementioned foto file folder.

The note at the bottom of the first link from Alex Verboon has the following, which worked on my Domain-associated Windows 7 system:
Synchronizing with an Internet time server
You can synchronize your computer clock with an Internet time server. This means that the clock on your computer is updated to match the clock on the time server, which can help ensure that the clock on your computer is accurate. Your clock is typically updated
once a week and needs to be connected to the Internet for the synchronization to occur.
Note
If your computer is on a domain, you can't synchronize your clock with an Internet time server.
Open Date and Time by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Date and Time.
Click the Internet Time tab, and then click Change settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server, select a time server, and then click OK.

HT1351 Am having problems syncing iPod classic 160gb to iTunes within Windows 8. Can you help?

I bought my iPod Classic 160GB from new in April 2012. For several months, I ran it through an older HP laptop running Windows XP home edition (service pack 3 I think?). I did however, use a Toshiba external hard drive to store all CDs/podcasts/photos etc. All worked very well and I put a fair amount of music (via CDs and podcasts) on the iPod via iTunes. All worked successfully. I changed computer earlier this year - another HP laptop but now running Windows 8. I've downloaded the up to date edition of iTunes AND have also transferred all existing material/files from the same Toshiba external hard drive to the iTunes in my new computer. (think I did this correctly?) So far, so good. I have placed some more music on the external hard drive and into iTunes and wanted to sync with my iPod. I connect iPod to the computer. It's recognised in iTunes as the window comes up showing iPod's serial number and settings etc etc. The iPod screen shows 'sync' and the top of screen in iTunes also shows 'syncing' however, after a few seconds, this stops and the iPod screen shows 'OK to disconnect' without having transferred any of the new music onto the iPod. Although all the existing music remains on the iPod (the stuff that was there before), the copule of new CDs hasn't been transferred over. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I hear that there are some problems at the moment syncing iPods within Windows 8. Anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Problems since 2.2.1 (applemobilebackup.exe error, long sync time)

After installing 2.2.1, I am experiencing the following and wondering if anyone on this forum has a solution to the following two issues. Thanks in advance.
While syncing to my pc (it's a toshiba laptop running xp sp3), right before completing, there has been an applemobilebackup.exe error appearing that I click ok to and then it finishes sync'ing. I'v searched the net and it seems like I'm the only one experiencing this??
It seems to keep taking longer and longer to sync. I remember the status bar running faster than I can keep an eye on it. After installing a few games, it's at a crawl these days. I uninstalled the Facebook app and still runs at a crawl. Anybody have any ideas how to enable faster sync times?
