Problems synching two iPod Touch with movies

I have two iPod Touches, one 16GB 2g and one 32GB 3g. I use the same computer and iTunes with both iPods.
I have imported/converted several movies to the iTunes library using HandBrake, and it works excellent.
The problem is that I'm only able to copy/synch all of the movies to the 3g version, and only two of the movies to the 2g version. I've tried several things, both using iTunes automatisk synch and manually moving/copying the movies to the 2g version. But no matter what I do, only 2 of about 60 short-movies are copied and I don't understand why?!?
Can somebody please help me

Hi,
Since my daughter got a new ipod touch I want to use her old one. Orginially I synched my daughter's ipod touch with her laptop and now that it is mine I want to synch it with my laptop. Trouble is that using her old ipod touch I bought an app for myself to use(Jamie Oliver's Meal App for $7.99) and I want to keep it. When I try to connect the old ipod touch with my computer it says that it will erase everything. Any ideas on how I can put my music and my movies and keep the app?

Any problems in syncing iPod Touch with new computer?

My wife's iBook died and now I need to switch her to a newer computer. She had been syncing her iPod Touch with the old computer and she also has an iTunes account. During the down time she has been entering calendar data directly into the iPod Touch.
When I get her backup data into the new computer what kind of problems will we encounter? Will it correctly sync her calendars and contacts? Can she move or close her iTunes account from the new computer? Thanks.

Before you scrap the old one, go into iTunes and deauthorize the computer. When you get the new one set up and ready to go, go back into iTunes and authorize the new computer.
I'm not sure how you plan to transfer your library, but a portable hard drive or a big memory stick do work well. Don't forget to copy over the xml file as well as that will preserve your settings in iTunes.

Using Facetime on two iPod Touches with one Apple ID

My wife and I both have new iPod Touches.
We use a single Apple ID between the two, so all app and song purchases are on one account.
But it appears we need separate Apple ID's to use Facetime? Is it possible for her to create her own Apple ID just for Facetime, but continue to apply purchases to my Apple ID account?

Yes.
(1) Some users find that they can create one more free email account and associate it with FaceTime as a separate caller iD associated with the same FaceTime iD.
Then assure that each iPod is configured with a unique Email address showing for the
FaceTime Account in Settings > FaceTime
(2) If you have already configured them separately but the problem persists, establish a new Apple iD specifically for use on the second iPod:

(3) I think you can configure the same iD for the iTunes Store in both iPod's by entering the same
info in the Settings > Store of both your iPods.
However, remember you purchase items via your account, not a specific device.

Apps can be re-downloaded, and you won't be charged again for a purchsased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.
All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps. Apps cannot be transferred to or combined with another iTunes account.

Two ipod touches with Facetime

Both of my kids got new Ipod touch 4gs. They both have a facetime account but are using separate gmail accounts for there emails. The problem we are having is that when their friends call them both of the ipods get the call. Not sure why because they are using different gmail addresses. I am wondering if it is the Apple ID email that is causing the problem as both ipods are on that account.

I did that and set each of them up on gmail. So the apple ID email isn't listed as a calling address. But they still both recieve the calls at the same time. And when the friends call them they call the gmail calling address. Also what is happening is that only one of them can call the other, meaning my son can't call his sister but his sister can call him. When my son calls his sister it calls but then it goes off and she can't answer the call.

Our old Mac died and and the files were not recoverable. I have not synched my iPod Touch with the new Mac/iTunes. I have heard synching will wipe my iPod clean. Can I synch my iPod with the new Mac and keep my apps and music on both Mac & iPod?

If for seom reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod to your computer. From itunes File>devices>Transfer Purchases

I have two ipod touches and I am wondering if I can sync my legally bought digital movies from blu-ray discs that are on the cpu and registered, will it sync with two ipod touches with the same iTunes account.

The movies on the laptop are just digital copies. A lot of newer blu-ray movies come out with the blu-ray and a digital copy for the cpu as well. Thanks for responding.

thank you-i have to check into the authorization and the account-i gave my husband my old ipod when i updated last year so both at one time have been on this computer but as it stands, it only comes up with my device when i plug into Itunes.
i don't think i have any restrictions for installing apps although my normal way of doing it is to download from the ipod touch. i did find that all i had to do was right click on my device name and got the message to transfer my apps and then they showed up in my library. Also when i clicked the synch checkbox i was able to view the ipod touch picture without it being greyed out. after all that i was able toupdate to IOS 5 successfully except my videos and podcast, and pdfs did not come over. This confuses me since i had dragged them over to my library to make sure that i had everything in my library and on my device. Not a big problem, since i just dragged them in itunes from my library to my device but sometimes i wonder if i understand the big picture:)

i had the same problem. did a lot of research..my phone became unusuable. do you use the htc mail? if so that is your problem. there is a bug with it that it keeps eating your memory until you cannot use your phone. i had to do a hard reset. back to factory condition..not happy! but then went to the marketplace and got k-9 mail. that is now my default mail program. i have not had any issues since then. this is what i kept reading over and over for complaints on this phone. it is a major glitch and the only way, as of the time it happened to me, to fix it..

But recently both os us have downloaded the Ibooks segment to our Ipads and now the only way to sync the second Ipad for Ibooks is to use the same used id and password. This is to avoid piracy. What could happen is, people could buy music, and give it away for free online. Usually it is then you buy a complete album off iTunes that it will only be available on one device. It is tied to that account, and the device must be registered to that account to listen to it.

Internet problems on my macbook pro and ipod touch with camera.

For the last week or so I have been experiencing internet problems with my macbook and iPod touch with camera. I'll be online and clicking different news articles and suddenly the address bar will start to open a link but will not complete it. So what I do is go up to the signal bar and click turn off airport then turn it back on and that will temporarily solve the problem. Same solution on my iPod, I turn off the wifi and turn it back on. It is very frustrating for both devices. I will include as much info as possible. I have a NetGear RangeMax wireless router model WPN824v3. I was wondering if changing the wireless settings on that would solve my problem. I have the channel on 9. Mode on b and g. Security option on WPA-PSK [TKIP] with password. I would be happy for any help with this issue. Also I hope I'm following correct posting protocol. I haven't been on this forum in a while.

Thanks for the advice. I finally tried a solution after doing nothing. LoL. What I did do was change the channel the router was on from 9 to 7. I think I've done something like this in the past when I had slow internet and that worked out well too. I thought that would help and so far so good. Not an interruption so far but we shall see. To the guy or girl who expressed that they had the same problem as me I would try changing the channel of your router like I did. I will monitor the situation and see if it totally solved my problem or not and keep this thread updated. Thanks people

HT1296 I updated my ipod touch with IOS 6, then downloaded You tube onto my computer then tries to synch it with my ipod. The you tube app icon is present on the computer but doesn't appear on ipod. the app store states that it is installed but it isn't.

When i synched my ipod the computer showa You Tube on the ipod but it isn't there and i cannot get it reinstalled. please help. Have you tired using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find it.
Do you have Restrictions on that would hid the app? Settings>General>Restrictions.
