Problems synchronising new iPhone 4

bought an iphone 4, synchronisation doesn't work because it cannot make a backupcopy
it starts the synchronisation and starts making the backupcopy, but stucks after 30sec
Cannot stop it, ITunes does not respond anymore

Hey!
Make sure that iTunes is all up-to-date on your computer and on your phone. Also disable any Anti-Virus Program you may have on your computer, could be preventing communication with your iPhone
If that does not help, try uninstalling iTunes and all related compontents... Follow the steps in the following articles depending on what operating system your running on your computer.. I'm assuming it's a windows machine.

If all else fails, it's possible something on the phone is currupt and is not "backupable"... and thus fails the whole backup process...

Mail exchange problem with new iphone

My home button stopped working so I went to the store and got myself a new iphone under warranty (Thanks apple).
It is running version 4.3.4
Anyhow, when I got home and restore from backup, everything works beautifully. However, the only problem is that I can't sync my hotmail using exchange. My Gmail is set under exchange as well and it works fine.
I have tried the following but it didn't work

I deleted and re-entered the account info, though everything are 100% correct, I still getting the "Unable to verify account info.". If I save the profile and open "mail" the message "Cannot Get Mail" would pop up
Re-formating the phone doesn't work either
I installed EAS Default task timeout profile, which I found online and it didn't work either
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

You can make an appointment with the Genius Bar if you have tried these and they have not worked. If they determine your iphone to be defective, they will replace.

Problems with new iPhone 5S HELP!!!

Hi so i recently got the new iPhone 5s. I have been experincing problems since two weeks after purchase. People have problem hearing me during phone cals not network also on facetime i have tried holding the phone in numerous postion with tierdless effort but no result also the phone itslef get burning hot whilst playing the simplest of games like candy crush and no its not because i play it for hours on ends it gets a such a temprature after 3 minutes of use. I recently attempted to purchase infintey blade 3 it couldent complete the download because i have used up the capacity and then a notficaton pops up on my lock screen saying 'you have used up all your storage' it has been only a month and couple of weeks how can this happen with only 72 apps 132 songs and i have used up the suposed capacity 12.9gb what should do?

Problems with new iPhone Texting

My husband and I have new iPhone 4s. He can only receive text messages to an old email address (not his new email address or current phone number) I tried to add his new email address but in Settings, Messages he does not have the field titled "Receive At" like I do on my phone. In fact he also does not have "Send Read Receipts" or Send As SMS" Can any one help !! Thanks!!

Turn iMessage on on his iPhone.
Settings -> Messages -> iMessage -> Switch to on

Problems syncing new iphone 5

I bought a new iphone 5 today. I made sure I had the latest version of itunes on my pc but am unable to sync it. I don't receive any error messages as such it just acts as though it's preparing to sync then doesn't actually do anything. I've tried restarting the computer and phone. I've also run a diagnositcs test in itunes and all seems to be working correctly. This is driving me crazy and I'd really appreciate any help or pointers! Thanks so much.

Try updating to iPhoto 9.4.1. If it's not appearing in your Software Update yet, try updating using a .dmg installer downloaded from the following page on the Apple website:

Google "Password Missing" problem on new iPhone 5 (2 step verification)

i have a new iphone 5 that i just activated after having an iphone 4 that i just turned off.
i keep getting a "Password Missing" prompt after entering what i /think/ is my google password for my GMAIL account.
however, having activated google's 2 step verification process i am a bit confused as to what the password actually is. does anyone understand this or how i am supposed to recover my password. i have "backup verification codes" in my wallet but i /think/ these are for my computers i guess?
ALSO, i tried to reset my password for google on the web - but when i enter this NEW password it still does not take on my iphone.
anyone know how to figure out what password to enter on my iphone to get google mail?

ok. i keep doing this and missing this section of this process.
you have to go to the Application Specific password section which will generate a 16 digit code that you have to enter instead of your actual google password.
not quite sure what those backup passwords are for though...

Problems with New iPhone connecting to wireless at home

Hi everyone,
just got back from the Apple store in Bristol ( UK ) where I had my 'old' iPhone exchanged for a New one because of some problems.
Anyway I get home and I am 'trying' to get my iPhone on to my home wireless ( which is protected so have to 'add' the phone to the accept list ), the problem is when I try to add the iPhone I keep getting a 'error' message telling me that the "MAC" address ( from the phone ) is not a MAC address.
I know where to look - 'About' - 'Wi-Fi Address and there is the Mac address ( 14:8F:C6:D9:9B:6D ) , so does anyone know what I am missing or doing wrong !!
I had no problem adding my 'Old' iPhone or anything else, iPads ( one a friends for when they visit ), iTouch, Macbook ect ;-(

Hi, I've recently upgraded to an iphone 5s. It has the latest software and I have just installed the latest itunes. However, when i try to sync the new phone it says "This iphone cannot be used becasue the required software is not installed. Run the itunes installer to remove itunes then install itunes again". Can anyone explain this as I have the latest software on both!

Where are you seeing this message, on the phone or the computer? See this support document about removing and reinstalliing iTunes on a Windows computer. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Follow those instructions completely, as doing it a different way could prove to create more problems. After that, try the sync process again.

Problem with new Iphone 4, mms not working to receive.

My Iphone 4 is not receiving mms texts, but will send them. Ive checked for updates, made sure all settings are correct and rebooted it. What else can I try before restoring? Its brand new as of 3 days and has never received mms.

Problem recovering new iPhone 4, Stuck on "Preparing iphone for restore", then giving an error message

I recently bought an iPhone 4, and it worked just fine, until I tried to sync it with iTunes. Whenever I would try to sync it, it would stall somewhere in the process, and then an error message would come up eventually. It would say something along the lines of "Process timed out, Internal Harware error" or somthing like that, there were several error messages.
So then I tried to restore the phone. I did it through iTunes, and eventually the process stalled on the "Preparing iPhone for restore" part, and then it would give me an error message (4013). My phone is stuck on the connect to itunes screen. When I do connect it to iTunes it says that the phone is in recorvery mode and that and needs to be restored. So again, I try to restore it and it gets stalled in the "Preparing iPhone for restore" part. I have also recieved the 2005 error code. I have tried to fix it by unplugging all other USB's, using a different USB port, disabling firewalls ect.. I have the newest version of iTunes, and my phone is running 7.0.3 (Can't update now that the restore is necessary, and I couldn't update anyways because the same problem I had syncing it occured when I tried to update.) I have Windows XP.

Error 1 is a baseband error. If you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take iPhone to Apple for resolution of this problem. If no coverage then search the Web for Error 1. Users have reported some success with this Error 1.

Pairing problems since new iPhone software download

Downloaded the new software onto my iPhone yesterday, but in order for the software to work correctly it had to restore everything on my phone to its original factory settings. Since then, I've been unable to pair my Bluetooth headset with the iPhone. I have a Bang & Olufsen headset. I've tried every trick in the book, but the iPhone will not "discover" my headset. Suggestions from any one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks/scott

Yes! Finally figured out the concept of pushing in my headset switch and holding it down until the light flashed red and then green. Once that happened I was able to pair the head set with the iPhone. Thanks for your response.

I have backuped my iphone 4 on itunes.
plugged in iphone 5c- automatically backups the new phone and gets rid of the obackup on the iphone 4

Is your 5C already setup? If so, you'll have to erase it before you can restore the backup of your iPhone 4 to it: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings.

Problems with new iPhone

Hi, I hope someone can help.
SO I finally bought an iphone on pay as you go. Set it up including syncing eMail and Calendar from Google through the Microsoft Exchange settings following googles intructions.
I then switch the phone off, using the red slider. When I switch it on in the morning it takes ages at teh apple logo and then tells me I need to plug it into iTunes. The phone has been activated.
I got home plugged it in and it all started working fine. Then when I powered off again over night the same thing happened but this time when connecting to itunes I am told itunes cannot connect to any content on the iphone and a factory restore is required.
Selecting to continue with this, it down loads the latest software and then starts preparing the iphone for restore before erroring saying iphone could not be restored unknown error (1602)
Please help I have only had the phone 48 hours and am not happy!

About the freezing, When i first bought my iphone when they came out I got a phone that after going to sleep or idle it would just freeze and i would have to hard boot the phone to come back up. I took it back to the store and they gave me a brand new phone. It was within the first 2 weeks that i purchased it. If your after your 2 weeks i think they will make you send it back to them so that they could look at it and repair it.

I tried to update my iphone, it seemed to work but to let my iphone completely empty: no more phone numbers, pictures, etc.. in it. I thought I could pick the info on my itunes in computer but apparently the update broke the itunes program as well: it says that some elemets are missing... does someone have an idea??? THANKS SOOO MUCH!

Contacts and calendar events aren't backed up? That's a complete load of hokey. They are backed up, and I ran into a similar problem and recovered them FROM the backup. Here's my post:
