Problems syncing on pc when first synced with mac

Hey everyone,
I have sort of a unique problem. I went through 3 phones before they worked and now that it is working it is an unbelievable experience. However, I do have one issue. I was able to sync a few albums through itunes but I had to sync my whole recently added folder. Since I have done this, I am unable to delete the files from the iphone through the device or itunes. All of the files are grey. With my ipods, i am able to just drag and drop and the files are in black. I also was unable to transfer any video.
I stated that i had many problems at first. I ended up activating the account at the mac store on a macbook. The problem is that I am using a PC at home. How do I get it so that I can transfer music to my iphone through itunes just like on my ipods. THANKS!!!

There is no way currently to manually manage music on the iPhone. You have to sync everything through iTunes.

Your iCloud login is an Apple ID, and if you go to http://appleid.apple.com you can change the ID to another non-Apple email address that has never been associated with an Apple ID. You cannot change it to your @icloud.com address.

I updated to Mavericks 6 months ago on my new Macbook Pro and have had nothing but trouble ever since -- despite numerous trips to the Genius Bar. They all act as though It's only my machine yet I'm reading literally hundreds of similar complaints on the Internet. To start:
1) My machine now "runs" very slow (as in 1980).
2) Search and Spotlight yield jumbled information.
3) MAIL and CCONTACTS are near useless with a spinning beachball the norm.
My Apple store had my machine for 5 days with no loaner! They did a manual rebuild and shrugged their sholders when it still didn't work after all that.
I have the distinct impression that Time Machine is at the bottom of some of my problems. I've used it to migrate data from my last three machines and I'm seeing some odd stuff from my other machines. In particular, I used an exact Macbook Pro loaned by a client after my last Mac crashed (I was backed up) and I'm seeing their grayed out login ID autoentered when I try to update Imovie and so I cannot log into my apple account.
I've used Mac since 1995 when the first SE came out and I'm very tech oriented. I can only wonder how frustrated the lay used might be. Any thoughts out there?

Playcount does not sync to iTunes when I sync my iPod Touch

I never had this problem before... When I sync my iPod Touch to iTunes, the playcount does not update anymore. I have no idea if there is an incorrect setting, or if this is just a software update issue, but I really enjoy the playcount. Does anyone know of a fix?

Select when to sync icloud, select when to sync icloud

I need advice about what programs for iOS & OSX allow the user to select when to sync with iCloud.
Specifically I want programs to replace Notes, Reminders and iCal (Calendar) on iOX and OSX.
For me I want the program as simple and feature free as possible, but must have a button to press to do manual syncing when I want.
For example, Notes will automatically propagate any errors I make and if the error has to do with an address, code, serial number or similar then the information about that is gone forever. Very annoying.

I'm getting the same problem. iCloud wasn't working (which happens every couple weeks) so I uninstalled and then reinstalled it which always worked until now. Now during setup I ge the iCloud server has stopped working message. I have tried everything...rebooting, re-installing, etc. Nothing works

How can I sync my Address Book and ICal with Mac and PC with Palm Desktop?

I now have the IPhone and I love it!!! But I have some issues and need help please. I have a PC at work and a Mac at home. In the PC I use the Palm Desktop Version 4.1.4 and I have there all my contacts (more than 1,100), all my date book (since 1998) and all my memos (about 600). I want to see what would be the best way get rid of my Palm Handheld and have only the IPhone, but I have encountered some problems and many steps. Everyday I have to sync the Palm Handheld at work, then sync the Palm Handheld at home with my Mac (using The Missing Sync, but it takes a long time every time), then sync the IPhone. Can you please help me??? How can I sync my data from my PC (Palm Desktop) with the IPhone? Another, thing; I do not want to use Outlook at work because the information that I want to sync (Palm) is my personal data and I want to keep using the Palm software for that.

Unfortunately, the iPhone is not designed to sync with Palm software. As stated in the minimum system requirements, the iPhone can sync with Outlook (2003, 2007 or Express) on a PC, or with iCal and Entourage on a Mac. If you do not want to use Outlook on the PC, you can sign up for a free Yahoo account and sync with Yahoo Address Book. Yahoo Address Book can be used to sync from PC or Mac. Multiple email accounts got synced on accident when I synced with .Mac

Yesterday when I did the sync with my .Mac account it gave me a warning that it was going to update alot of emails... thinking nothing of it I said yes. What I did not realize it that it synced all of my roommates email accounts and contacts that he has in his own user profile on my computer. Does anyone know how to go about reversing a Sync? I need to get his email accounts out of mine, and all that good stuff.

I have set-up all 5 accounts on the iPhone but due to wanting all my emails in one single inbox (.Mac inbox) it doesn't give me the option to choose which account I wish to reply from, therefore if I do send from one of the other accounts it doesn't show the sent item in my .Mac account which kind of defeats the object of trying to synch my email!

Iphone stuck when first syncing

i recently purchased an iphone 3g 8gb. loved it and everything worked flawlessly with it. i released that the 8gb wasnt enough so i went out and exchanged it for a 16gb phone instead. so i came home to sync it with my itunes and its stuck in the sycing stage. its stuck on syncing contacts. i have restored it and tried to uncheck the options to sych with and no matter what it gets stuck syncing anything. can anyone help me out with this. id like to be able to use my new iphone instead of watching it sycn. it is using software 2.2 please help!

Help me sync all my iPhone's tabs with Mac - beginning to despair!

iPhone 4S 16GB, White, iOS 6.0.1; Mac Pro 2010, Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update 1.0; iTunes 10.7 (I am NOT upgrading to iTunes 11).
I can't get all the aspects of my iPhone to sync with my Mac Pro without receiving the dreaded, "Do you want to erase this iPhone…" dialogue. At the moment, the iPhone currently syncs Apps, Podcasts, iTunes U and Photos with the Mac Pro in question. I'm trying to get it to also sync Tones, Music, Films, TV Programmes and Books.
This is such a convoluted process that I'm not sure where precisely to begin. I'll start with my last Restore From Backup, which was for the purposes of restoring this replacement iPhone with the contents of the pre-replacement's backup.
1) Attached iPhone to my Mac Pro via USB
2) Right-clicked iPhone in iTunes Sidebar, chose "Restore from Backup…" and selected the previous iPhone's last backup
3) After the Restore was complete, I immediately went to the Apps tab and checked, "Sync Tabs". This is crucial in order to restore the third-party apps that were on the phone when it was Backed Up so that they will be associated with their data.
4) During this process, I also checked all the rest of the tabs, but only Podcasts, iTunes U and Photos synced successfully. All the others (Tones, Music, Films, TV Programmes and Books) came up with an error message. Which one, I'm not sure, but probably the one that declares these tabs to be synced with another computer, and asks, "Do you want to erase this iPhone…". I'm confident it was, actually, because I recall thinking how daft it was that, right after a Restore from Backup, it was telling me that the iPhone was synced with another Mac. Madness…
After steps (1) through (4), my phone was back to its pre-replacement state (more or less, but let's not go there). Because there was still media I required to add to the phone, I unplugged the iPhone from the Mac Pro, and attached it to the Mac mini. When I attempted—purely as a troubleshooting measure—to sync the Tones, Music, Films, TV Programmes and Books from the Mac mini, I received the following messages after ticking each checkbox, respectively:
With each dialogue box I clicked Cancel, because there was no content available to sync anyway.
So, neither of the two Macs that I own will sync Tones, Music, Films, TV Programmes or Books with this iPhone without erasing existing content. Why? Having seen this, I went back to my Mac Pro with the iPhone, and attempted to sync Tones again. It asked:
That gave me hope, because it wasn't claiming to be about to delete "all existing songs, films and TV programmes" as it did on the Mac mini: just Tones. So, I hit "Apply". The result?
Not only that, but the Capacity guage at the bottom of the window indicated that I was about to lose 1.74GB of Audio data, despite the fact that the only tone on the iPhone amounted to less than 1MB in size.
Apple has created the most sadistic syncing system I've ever encountered, and the one most eager to delete a user's data.
Can someone please tell me how to make my iPhone sync the remaining unsynced tabs with the Mac Pro? This is the Mac that contains all my media, so the Mac mini is pointless even if it did work.
Caveats:
• Please, only offer genuinely tested solutions and not conjecture.
• Please, don't request I make any arbitrary changes that may lead to data loss, at least without good reasoning.
• Please, don't ask me to get in touch with iTunes Technical Support—down that avenue lies more incompetence than I can bear.
• AppleCare Telephone Support for my iPhone has expired, so please don't suggest I get in touch with them either.

Why is the syncing so slow when I sync my 3rd gen iPod touch?

I am currently syncing my 3rd gen iPod touch to the newest version of iTunes. It is still "backing up the iPod" and it is still not done after 15 minutes. Is it because of my computer (windows 7 64-bit) or is it because I am syncing alot of things/items (apps, movies, music)? Or is it another problem?

Correction: Thank you FoxFifth for the good information. I did find this information earlier before landing here in the support community. I have come to the end and I am uncertain about trying to reset my I-pod touch to the factory settings. I was satisfied with the older version of i-tunes. Can someone direct me how to downgrade i-tunes perhaps?

Sync Sun Messaging Server Address Book with Mac OS X Address Book

I am wondering whether there is a way to synchronise my address books inside Sun Message Server and on my Mac?
Does anybody know how do to this? I tried an VCF export of all my contacts from my Mac address book and imported it with the Web mailer interface Sun Java System Communications Express.
The import was done without any errors but all emails and phone data is gone so finally I got several empty contacts.
Is this a known problem? Is there a workaround or a fix available?
Does anybody know a better way for synchronization in both directions and without duplicating all records on a second import?

Is this a known problem? Is there a workaround or a fix available?Communications Express only supports VCARD 2.1 which may be causing the problem. Have you tried importing into Convergence which supports VCARD 2.1 and 3.0?

Yahoo Sync Error Message when I Syncs the Calendar.?!?

Hi, I've tried several fixes from this forum for this error but no go:
Intellisync - Error accessing internal map field.
I wiped out the calendar in yahoo and on device. wiped the BB. added the apointments i needed into yahoo.
It will sync one way to the device no problem but not both ways. If i dont sync the calendars all else works fine.
upgraded BDM to 4.7 from 4.6, BB 8830, Win XP home,

Just look for the label on the bottom of your notebook (sticker should say Bluetooth). Make sure the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (software/driver) is installed on your machine. The Bluetooth Manager is part of the Bluetooth Stack. If it isn't installed, you will have to install it.

Pdf's created in Indesign having problem in "Black" color when it overlap with other color.

Please respond to this as soon as possible since this is now in printing stage we need to send it immediately.
Adobe disabled attachment, I just made a screenshot and sending you the image as attachment for your reference.
The design has "Black" overlapping on "Blue" giving transparent on Blue color, see the pdf for reference.
Please not that there is no transparency in "Black" or any other color used in that page.
This is related to "preserve overprint" problem, when I switch off the preserve overprint in "distiller" setting I am getting the correct result but "Black" become "Knockout" instead of "overprint".
Is there is any way to solve this problem.
Please advice.

When you Knockout the colour it should cut a hole in the shapes below it -
Start by creating a New Black Swatch
Then Apply that swatch to your black frame
Below I have turned off the Black Separation, and you can see that it has knocked a hole right through the items below - I've also shown you the Attributes Panel - you can see in the Spearations panel to that the black is still 100%
Below is what happens when you have Black set to Overprint
YOu can clearly see that the values are added up - You now have a 284% ink coverage here - so anywhere the black goes over the green here the values are added together and that gives you a different shade of black, because the Black is PRINTING OVER the other colours and adding, as ink is transparent, not opaque.
If the black frame goes off into the white it will be 100% for whatever is touching the white, and then 284% when hitting the green here, so you get two distinct shades of black.
