Problems to download photos from iPhone since ver 8.0
Since I updated the SW to ver 8.0 I have problems to get the pictures out of my iPhone towards my Windows 8.1 PC (before it worked)
Before I connected it to my PC and my iPhone 5S appeared as a harddisk with a DCIM folder. Inside it, and as it looked, randomly, different folders were created (with strange names made of numbers and characters), by patiently navigating one by one I was able to get all pictures out.
However, since change to version 8.0 and onwards I cannot get my pictures out. In fact, when I look at my iPhone all the new pictures don't show in the DCIM folder in the PC.
I tried the Beta version of ICLOUD PHOTOS but the problem is that when I download the pictures all the date info is resetted to the day of download (useless to organise them chronologically)
I tried to look for a discussion about it but no luck. Hope this helps. Thank you!
Thank you!!! I could not imagine a simpler solution... It worked perfectly.
Kindest regards

After clicking "Download," the iMac seems to download photos from iPhone. Eventually, I get message that I need to free up space on Startup Disc by deleting files. What to do?
You are in a very dangerous situation and you need to fix it now.
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk. -
Missing iphoto pics after downloading photos from iphone
I downloaded photos from iphone to iphoto and now the only photos that appear in the iphoto library are the ones I just downloaded from the iphone, not any of the earlier ones. There is only one iphoto library to open. I was able to get all of the earlier photos back by option clicking the library but now the ones from iphoto are missing, despite there only being one iphoto library to open. How do I unite them?
This is likely the case. The only time I see double libraries is when I "Show package contents". Then there is a "library" (which has all the pics) and a library.photo and a library6.photo. Both look exactly the same as the real photo library but neither can be opened.
I can retake the pictures - it's only 20 or so now and recent too - I just wish I knew what had happened so that it wouldn't happen again!
Thanks for all of the help! -

How do I download photos from iPhone 4 to Samsung laptop.
How do I download photos from iPhone 4 to Samsung laptop.
What version of Windows? In Windows 7 an iPhone shows up as a digital camera in the Computer section of the Start menu and you can import the photos from there. I'm not sure if it is the same in Windows 8 but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Problem downloading photos from iPhone to iPhoto on MacBook
I can't download photos from my iPhone 5 to iPhoto anymore. It comes up with an error message that says 'The following file could not be imported. (The file is in an unrecognized format.)' My software is up to date. The photos were taken on my iPhone, however there are also some photos that I have saved from other people who sent them as a text message. How can I save my photos please without loosing them? I have tried to save one image only, not all of them, and nothing work. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
Post back with the result. -

I am unable to download photos from my iphone4 , SD card , SLR camera to my ipad2 using apple accessories , please help , it has worked once and then never again.
Plumchunks-
The only accessory I know of that can be used to transfer photos from a camera or SD card to the iPad, is the Apple Camera Connection Kit. The kit consists of two adapters. One has an SD card socket. The other has a USB connector to connect directly to the camera.
I do not think you can transfer photos from the iPhone to the iPad unless you first transfer them to a computer. If you then transfer the photos to an SD card, they must have eight character names plus suffix and be stored in a DCIM folder, just as if they came from a camera.
One thing you can try is to reboot the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Rebootting will not hurt anything and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Downloading Photos from iPhone to PC in sequence
I have an issue.
Whenever I download photos from my iPhone to PC using the Scanner and Camera Wizard, I noticed that while the files are transferred according to the name I created "<name> +001", the sequence of the files are not based on the time taken.
Does anyone face the same problem? How can I resolve it?You will find it better if you just don't use the wizard. Instead go to My Computer and you will see it like a drive. You can just browse into it and copy them off. They will be in order that way. However you cannot delete from there. It is read only.

Preface: Probably a dumb question; but there is so much information available and I always start here. This is my most successful resouce.
Question: How do I download photos from my iphone to my Mac? I do not want to put them in the cloud and have them on all my devices. In fact I want to save them on the mac and then delete from my phone. I know it should be simple and fear I'm overcomplicating it.
Is this do-able?Hi
"Is this do-able?"
Absolutely.
Connect the iPhone to your Mac with the provided cable. Launch iPhoto. The rest should be obvious?

How to download photos from iphone 4s to pc
How do you download photos from iphn 4s to my windows 7 pc? How can if the Camera Roll is being downloaded
as opposed to the Photo Stream?
Please advise... and thanks!
Also - where in the phone can I see how much video space I have used or have left? and the same question for photo space?
Also - how do I put a password onto my phone to lock it?You can transfer photos from your phone to the computer by connecting your iPhone to your PC. When you do that and when your iPhone is recognized by iTunes ..Open up "My Computer" and you'll be able to see your phone there . You then can drag all your photos to a folder in your computer or simply copy and paste whatever you choose.
You can check how much memory you have used up and how much is available in Settings>General>Usage. -
