Problems to initialize Laptop Mobile Client
Hi Experts
I have installed in my computer Laptop Mobile Client version 7.1.
All the time that i reinitialize my computer, the mobile client is broken, and i can't access it again. I need to reinstall mobile client to use it again.
I have this message in a java screen:
Cannot initialize deployment
SQL Exception with message: [-8]: Execution failed, parse again/ CFS message: Cannot connect to database / State: I0008 / ErrorCode: -8
When i close that window, i have this message:
Connection closed.
Server returned exception:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
Can someone help me?
I use mobile 7.1 sp08, Windows XP.
Regards
Marcos
Hi David
I've installed the mobile client using the mobile client installer.
My jdk was already installed, and is 1.5.x version.
When i installed, this works fine.
I don't know exactly why is the cause of this problem. The mobile client was working fine, i close it by quit option, and then reboot the computer. After this, i had this trouble.
I trying to resolve, i stopped and restarted again the MaxDB, i stopped and restarted again the laptop mobile cliente instance, and nothing.
Then, i stopped the instance of mobile client and after some time(about 10 minutes) i restarted again. Suddenly, the client started and work fine again. I really don't know what happened.
I restart my computer, to verify if the problem was the restart, but all works fine.
Its very strange.
Thanks for your response.
Marcos.

UntrustedNetworkPThere seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
Especially with certificate authentication.
I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it... -
Hello all,
My company has deployed AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.04059 and we use Windows 7
The client works fine most of the time, but all of a sudden the connection drops. I can see both the Windows Network and Sharing Center and Cisco AnyConnect suddenly disconnected. This happens most of the times that I change to another location with a different wi-fi network. With my past Windows 2003 and AnyConnect versions (not sure which one that was), the VPN connection would be recovered shortly after re-connecting to the new wi-fi, but with this version it will never allow me to connect to the new wi-fi. Sometimes, if I use the troubleshoot manager from Windows, it will reset my network adapter and that will allow me to connect to the new wi-fi network. Most of the times it won't.
In those cases, I need to close all programs, log off and log back into Windows. Some other times that will not work either and I will need to restart the whole machine. Restarting the Anyconnect related services alone does not help.
I am worried because today I lost the connection all of a sudden in my own home, while any other device could easily connect to the wifi. Anyconnect will simply say that it is unable to connect. After many tests I had to reset the computer.
Am I the only one seeing this problem? Any advice anyone can give me?
Thanks in advance,
AntonioSo it seems that I was barking at the wrong tree :)
After a bit more research on-line, I found that changing the Power management options for the Wireless network adapter resolved the problem.
I went to Control Panel> Device Manager> right-click on Wireless Network Adapter> Properties > Power Management tab > Uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'
So far so good. Hope this helps others.
Best,
Antonio -
Problem installing Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client
Hello,
When attempting to install the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, I get the following message: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
Well, my support personnel haven't been able to assist. I am attaching the setupapi.dev file I was told could help in troubleshooting. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.do you have the xml assigned in the group policy on the ASA? I know the scripting behavior changed between anyconnect 2.5 and 3.1. AnyConnect 2.5 only required the xml profile locally but 3.1 requires the xml with EnableScripting = true to be assigned to the group policy.

I have installed NWM Client 7.1, first time it started fine....and i configured it..But now when I try to start it gives me an command prompt saying
System error 1068 has occurred.
The dependency service or group failed to start.
The requested service has already been started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182
and nothing proceeds further..
I am not getting what is the problem.
Please guide me further.
Thanks & Regards,
RajeshHi Rajesh,
It seems that the Mobile client service is still running while you want to start the client. I would suggest that you execute the stopserver.bat as well as the stopmonitor.bat. These files are present in the Mobile client home folder.
If the problem still persists, kill the process related to the Mobile client. Then try launching the client. It should work then.

Big problem to install Mobile Client Component 5.0
Hi,
im trying to install the CRM Mobile Client Component 5.0, and im already stuck on the first installation screen, "Welcome to the installation of SAP CRM Mobile Client Component 5.0" Please press the "Next" button to continue installation.....THERE IS NO NEXT BUTTON, no buttons to be seen
anyone has encountered this problem? how to solve this
thx,
MaartenHi,
These issues can occur if you are not installing CRM Mobile on an clean system (without any SAP installation done on that machine before). Run windows installer cleanup utility to remove any installed SAP CRM Mobile software, reboot the system, check for s/w and h/w pre-requisites and start the installation.
Hopefully, it should work.
Best Regards,

A problem with WAAS mobile client
The customer has a problem with WAAS mobile client. When he disabled WAAS mobile client - all is working, but http is not working.:-( On the server the accelerated networks are configured. The browser send the http request, but the response is not received:-( For other clients it is working. Thank you for help.
I have WAAS mobile server version 3.4.0.1460 on the Windows2003 server with SP1. Client OS is Windows XP. All clients who use WAAS mobile client have WinXP on their notebooks. All clients are on the same network. This client sees this problem when the waas client is active, disabled, and for now when the waas mobile client is uninstalled - it seems like waas mobile client changed registers for IE or FireFox - so all http answers are redirected to nonexisting waas mobile client:-(
Thank you

Resetting a mobile client (new device ID)
Hi,
We often experience that mobile clients have to be re-installed due to synchronization problems. Using the Reset feature on the client does not solve the problem so we have to start from scratch each time.
First the client is un-installed, a new client installed and then we start all over again with the distribution of applications & data. This process is VERY troublesome but SAP does not seem to have an alternative.
Are you familiar with a good solution for resetting the client including the device ID, so the MI Client can be re-used? This way we could avoid the re-installation of the client which is also an issue due to the laptop user authorization concept.
We are using SAP NetWeaver 2004s SP12 and MI Client 7.0 SP12 patch 5
Looking forward to your advice.
Kind regards
ChristianHi Christian,
there are two possible ways: first you do a complete installation if MI on the client, add DB2e manually and enter the settings in mobileengine.config manually. This all happens without logon to MI and for sure without sync. If this is the case, you can create a copy of that folder and store it on device for later reference. All you have to do then is to copy this folder from SD card to \ and you have a running version. Register user, sync - and you have deviceID and start from scratch with sync and so on....
If users have different Versions of the App - please use the Profiles - all user that share the same profile will have the same version of the software by default - so this problem should be solved then as well.
The confusion about the Reset button is perhaps that you expect something else then it finally does. All it does is to remove the complete data from the persistence stack. But all general MI settings like Mobile ID, Device ID, SyncKey and so forth still are in the last value. If you have problems with data inside the APP, then this button is ok, but it will not reset the MI installation back to initial!
Perhaps these two blogs will help you:

Mobile client for windows 64 bit
Is there a mobile client that works on windows 64 bit?
just been asked to test out our app on a windows 7 laptop and it fails straight away with UnsatisfiedLinkError: c:\mobileclient\bin\oljdbc40.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
Cannot see anything in the oracle downloads, but they are in Berkeley mode now rather than the traditional stuff. Not a proper solution, but i have found a work around for the problem
The windows 7 64 bit machine had java 1.6.0_16 installed as the default (we have a problem with a change to the toDate function tightening things up in 1.6.0_18 causing exceptions in our 3rd party software).
We also had an application that was bundled with its own JRE 1.6.0_06 on the machine and when i switch the application code to point at that JRE everything works fine. Not a java person, but i assume that somewhere between 1.6.0_06 and 1.6.0_16 SUN added true 64 bit support and this requires all libraries to be in line. The older version not knowing anything about 64 bit could cope, but obviously without making best use of the device resources
as we have a work around for the time being, i will probably leave this issue until we start on investigating the migration to berkeley in the new year

Edited by: Peter Vanneste on Apr 27, 2009 5:25 PMHi,
If you are using the mobile applications for laptops, I am not sure if the JavaGui supports the office control as yet.
It would be better if you raise an OSS.
I had tried it a year back I got a UI rendrer problem.
Thanks and Regards,

Connections drop when using Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client
Folks I have a strange issues. I have a few laptops that I'm testing using the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Network Access Manager. We like the interface and overall are happy, but have one nagging issue. Periodically the connection drops when using the client, and the only way to reconnect is to choose the Network repair option on the client. That fixes it just fine, but we shouldn't have to do this. The same clients using the built in WIndows supplicant do not have this problem. We are on version 3.0.07059.
Right now I'm testing on a single access point (autonomous) with WEP! The same laptop works fine without the Cisco client. Usually it is several hours, 12 or more when it happens, but I've seen it less than that. And I've seen it up for over a day and a half. At this point I just don't trust the client to roll out to a larger audience.

Cisco anyconnect secure mobility client + caching
Hi,
We have recently implemented wifi at our location, all working fine with the below exception. we have cisco anyconnect secure mobility client installed on all laptops for VPN access. we are facing a problem as the vpn client is caching the credentilas i.e inorder to connect to the corp wifi, we need ot add a profile in the anyconnect client with the SSID, security and 802.1x configuration bcoz my WIFI infra is setup to use ISE as the authentication manager and WLC is integrated with ISE. First time when someone tries to connect to wifi, it prompts for the credentials. but for the subsequent connections it is not prompting for the credentials and somehow it is picking from the cache or somewhere. How can i disable this? I want the users to be prompted for credentials whenever they try to connect to the corp wifi? FYI, we are using cisco anyconnect secure moile client 3.0.5 version.
Thanks,
SridharI'm guessing that it is this setting...
Go to C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and edit the AnyConnectLocalPolicy.xml.
Change this line to:
All
It's probably best to use the AnyConnect Profile Editor to do this and I'm also not sure if this is something that can be pushed from the gateway to all machines. -
Issues reconnecting with cisco anyconnect secure mobility client when plugged in via ethernet
Hi,
I have a laptop running Windows 8 x64 with the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client version 3.1.02040. Ethernet and Wireless enabled. by default, ethernet works primarily until the system detects that ethernet is down, i.e. undocked from docking station, it should switch to wireless.
Problem: When connected to vpn via ethernet card, it connects without any issues, but when i disconnect it takes a few seconds to disconnect, like 10+ seconds. I try to reconnect to vpn but it says something is wrong with the vpn client and to restart the OS. I restart and my system just takes forever to restart and eventually it will restart, but the OS will generate a MS crash dump.
If i undock my laptop and connect to vpn via my wireless card, everything works fine. i can disconnect from vpn and it does it in a few seconds, I can reconnect without any issues.
please advise...thanks.
dananyone found the fix for this?

The data is not downloaded in Mobile Client 7.1
Hello,
We encountered a problem in Mobile 7.1 - the data is not downloaded to the clients. The synchronization between Doe and the backend works well, all the relevant information was downloaded to the DOE but when we present the application on the client, no data is dispalyed.
We have two questions:
1. How can we check if the data was downloaded to the client database (we are using MaxDB)?
2. What can be the problem that the data is not displayed?
Thanks,
SergeyHi Sergey,
There can be many reasons why data is not present on your client or it can also be that data is already downloaded to the device but not shown in your application. So follow this steps:
Case 1. Data present in device but not shown in application
First of all you need to check if data is already downlaoded to device or not. Since you are using laptop client with MAXDB, there are lots of tools available to check this. Check if there is any data in the tables created in folder "DATA" in your NW Mobile client 7.1. If data is already present, then check what is wrong with your application.
Case 2. Data is not downloaded for your device from DOE
1. First check if you have created any distribution model for your data objects or not.
2. Then check if they are active and generated without any errors.
3. Then check in Rule Administration in portal, if the rules are active or not. If not then activate them.
4. Even if rules are active and data is not downloaded, then check if DMSWCV is assigned to your device or not in device administration.
5. If not assigned already, then assign it and make sure it goes to operation mode. Then only your data will be donwloaded.
6. If DMSWCV is also assigned and data is not yet downloaded to device, then check in device administration, click on "Pending Extracts" link and make sure no instances are present in pending extracts. But if you have pending extracts then click on "Trigger Pending Extracts" link. Then data should be downloaded to device.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Siva.
