I want to buy numbers for my Mac but it wont work; It says Numbers can not be installed in Mac HD because it's required Mac OS X 10.9

The Numbers version available in the Mac App Store requires OS X Mavericks. If you want it, you will have to upgrade to OS X Mavericks by downloading it from the Mac App Store. Make a backup of your files with Time Machine and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
If you don't want to upgrade or your Mac is too old to upgrade, what you can do is to buy iWork '09 at Amazon, so it comes in a DVD. Insert it and install the iWork applications. Then, download the most recent version in  > Software Update.
This is also a recommended way if you are not sure about the new Numbers version, as it hasn't got some features included in older Numbers version. If you update Numbers after installing it from the DVD, you will keep the old version in case you need it

How to fix problem with installed and working add-ons disappearing after update to 20.0.1?

I updated to version 20.0.1 of Firefox the other day. I had the theme Qute 3++ 1.19 installed and it took 3 restarts of the browser before it kicked in and worked again, for some reason.
Then I noticed that my MillBar Community toolbar 3.18.0.7 had disappeared, which I use for the feature of collecting my email accounts to get fast notifications about new emails. Also my Adblock Plus 2.2.3 seems to not be working because all of a sudden I see ads everywhere and I also discovered a bunch of pop-ups from nowhere. I used these add-ons for such a long time that I was shocked.
When i went to type a message to a friend, I also noticed that my american-english dictionary/spellchecker was not working.
The first thing I checked was that none of these add-ons was inactivated or said to need updates. The dictionary had disappeared, so i re-installed that. I also reinstalled Adblock Plus. Still it doesn't work.
When i entered the email information into the toolbar options, it collects my emails for a while, but suddenly it stops and the information is not there anymore. If I restart the browser it also disappears.
Same thing with the dictionary. it works for a while, and then suddenly it's like it's disabled.
And the add-ons are still in what seems like working conditions in my lists. No errors that I can see, no updates available.
I'm really at a loss as to what to do, I've never had problems like this before that couldn't be solved with an update of the add-on. So I'd be very grateful for help with this and hope that I have provided enough information.

If it's an application, it should be in the Applications folder. If in doubt, double click on the hardrive icon to open it up, then press Command+F (find) and in the window that comes up for what you want to find, type in AOL and it should appear. You can either drag it to the Dock for easy access or make an alias of that, and drag that alias to the Dock. Oh, and just so's you know, this forum is for Desktop macs only. We may be able to answer your question about a MacBook Pro. Same kind of animal, but different breeds.

The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.

I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html

Problem with installing and uninstalling applicati...

hi all,
I have a problem with installing or uninstalling apps on 808. When i try to install an application through Nokia suite or when trying to run the application file from the phone's memory the screen freezes and becomes unresponsive but the 3 phone buttons work just fine. I have to shut down the phone and the screen becomes responsive again. Anything available to help me wiith this situations as I cannot use any of the apps I have. Any help much appreciated.

You are not alone. Im also having the same issue because we do alot of install and uninstall apps. This is the bad point of symbian. But I tired to install the latest FP2 it will be slightly abit smoother now. So you have the latest version now but did you tired to restore any backup yet? It might be the setting on when you restore that affect it. The feezing should be shorten on FP2 but it will still remain there depending on the type of apps from what I experience.
I hope they will provide multiple function to uninstall apps since it will go through a long process to uninstall apps 1 by 1.
Reason is because some apps will go through process like preparing install, process install, finalising install which take away your control for that few seconds or a minute instead runnning in background mode. Its not convenient to uninstall more apps.

Problem with installing iTunes

So these are my problems with installing iTunes.
At first it was :
A required iTunes component is not installed.Please repair or reinstall iTunes (-45019)
Then it got worse as it would not even open and these would appear:
The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
and this would appear:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 126)
I reinstalled maybe about 5 times or more...
If I thought I solved the above problem, this would appear:
iTunesHelper.exe is not installed on my computer.
I seen other people comment that you should unistall and restart the computer and install the setup again, but it does not work..
And others would say to repair the AAS or iTunes etc..
And after trying all these it does not work???
What else works?

I also tried repairing the Microsoft NET.

A lot of problems after installing Windows XP using Boot Camp on a Mac Book

I have been having a lot of problems after installing Windows XP Home Edition (2002).
For one, after installing Windows using Boot Camp with Mac OS X 10.5.1, I opened Windows on my Mac Book, inserted the Mac OS X Disk 1 as in the instructions and got the message: +"This package requires a newer version of the Windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows Installer on your system?"+ When I clicked Yes (I had NO idea what it meant at the time), I got the message: "The required resource 'UPDATE' is missing" and the Installer quit.
How do I fix this problem?
Another problem I have is that there is no sound on the Windows XP, yet it works perfectly on Mac OS X. Is there any way to fix this problem?
A third problem I have is that I can't wirelessly connect to the internet using Window XP, yet I can on Mac OS X. I have no idea on how to fix this, and it's really messing with me. D:<
D: There are way too many problems, and I have a feeling there will be a lot more later on. Help....

Had a simalar problem. But we weren't getting any service. AT&T said it was a defective SIM card and pretty much everyone that bought an AT&T iPhone 6 from the online store had a defective sim. had to buy a new sim from best buy because att were sold out because the problem was so wide spread.

Problems Re-installing Desktop Manager

New to the board here and have a question maybe someone can shed some light on for me.
I'm running Vista Home Premium on my PC. I had problems with the BB Desktop Manager software so I decided to uninstall if and do a fresh install. Somehow, there were two identical versions installed on my laptop, and I could not uninstall either one. I had to download Windows Install Cleanup to delete the first copy. The second copy did not show up in my programs list on the Control Panel, but there was still a shortcut on my desktop. Clicking the desktop icon opened the second copy of BBDM! I found it installed under a folder other than Programs. I had to drag it to the recycle bin to get rid of it, as all un-instraller software was unable to find it.
Now...I went to download and install BBDM again and it will not install! I have tried the CD and web download versions. No matter what I do, I get the following message on the BB InstallShield Wizard shortly after the install process begins:
InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before BlackBrry Desktop Software could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Click finish to exit the wizard.

Problems with installing HP OfficeJet Pro L7590 driver All-in-One

Hello HP team.
Having problem with installing driver for HP Officejet pro L7590.
Starting the process the process bar goes to the end 100% and then disappear.
After that nothing happens.
Rebooting doesn't help.

Lets try some more steps:
Uninstall, level 3 for HP PC or level 4 for non-HP PC.
1. Click Start and type %temp% in the run field and click OK.
2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one 7z folder, try the most recent one)
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. Run the uninstall_ L4.bat for a non-HP PC or run the Uninstall_L3.bat for a HP PC
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Try to install again using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows
Let me know how this goes please

Dv6-6c13cl problems w/ install using purchased Recovery Discs.

Thanks for any help you can provide. Initally, there was a harddrive problem, so I replaced it. The factory discs were lost unfortunately, so I just recieved a set from HP yesterday. The install process is uneventful, except that when its "preparing Windows for the first use", I get some errors. Specifically, it says, [timestamp] ChkErrBB.CMD: detect some error during PININST_BBV. [timestamp] check C:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootWarn.log [timestamp] or, check C:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootMerge.log) At this point, there is nothing else I can do. You have the option to retry, but it initiates the whole install process again, leading to the same result. Prior to ordering the discs, my brother installed a retail of W7-64bit, and there were no problems, save that there weren't any drivers installed (for example, couldn't get online). Now, I dont really need the HP apps that get installed, but of course I need the drivers (incidentally, I believe they are on a fourth disc separate from the OS recovery (the Application and Driver Recovery CD). Does anyone recognise the error messages above, what they mean, how to remedy this? Is it likely the new HDD is faulty? Or the discs? Would it be a better idea to buy a retail of W7, and manually install all the needed drivers? Its a shame in that this should work, Id hate to have to put more money into it. If you want a clean installation of Windows 7, there's no need to purchase a retail copy as you can use the following method.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your notebook - this is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. These Images are clean and from a well-respected source - Digital River.

4) Create User - C11adm; Assign administrator privileges
5) Start Update DLL's from Kernal CD.
6) Login as c11adm and Install Oracle 9.2 with the options :
