Problems to install my new Illustrator CS6

I bought a new Illustrator CS6 programm in a german shop. TRied to get serial number by internet to get the programm registrated and installed.
After I entered by the code on www.adobe.com/go/getserial_de I only got a link for a Creative Cloud Set up to download.
My CD which I bought is not usable without the serial number.
After Set up Download I can see the APPS, all as test version, Illustrator is marked as " will be installed"
but nothing happens.
Cache is big enough with 550MB I checked it, but it will not download my new version.
People in the shop where I bought it have also tried it without success and told me it is an Adobe problem not theirs.
What shall I do?

My serial number keeps saying invalid when I try to install my new illustrator cs6 disk. It installed on my work computer with this very same serial number, but not that I am trying to install it on my home computer it says invalid. I thought I was allowed to have two installations?
Does anyone know how to fix this or does anyone have a phone number for adobe?

I do not have adobe creative cloud. I purchased cs6 through a reseller and have the disk.

did i miss a step between transferring all of my information from my old hard drive to the new hard drive and installing the new hard drive into the computer. I believe that i installed properly. it was quite easy.

It means there is no bootable system on the drive. If you still have access to the old drive, then I suggest you boot from it then clone it to the new internal drive. Use OPTION boot to boot from the Recovery HD on the old drive:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
         button.
     2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
     3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
     4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
         to the Destination entry field.
     5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
         the Source entry field.
     6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Source means the external old drive. Destination means the new internal drive.

Problem with install on new compy, something to do with external?

Hello, so I have been having a few problems with installing Arch on my new computer. On my old laptop I never ran into this problem on any distro of LINUX I installed, nor on any other of the systems I have installed Arch on. I believe it might have something to do with the fact that I am running the live cd off of an external dvd drive maybe? I am kind of stuck here, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
Hard Drives: 2 SATA 160gb hd RAID 0, and one 160gb ATA hd
OS: Windows 7 Professional on the RAID 0, hoping to put ARCH on the ATA (I have tried booting the ATA first in the list behind the USB DVDROM to no avail)
External Drive: Sony DVD/CD RW drive DRX-510UL
External DVDROM is the exact same drive I used to install windows 7 professional.
External DVDROM is plugged into one of my USB 2.0 ports, but the error still persists.
I am using the EXACT same disk I used when installing it on my past computer.
Trying to install x86_64 version of Arch, gets past the splash.

K, got it running. was having errors with the USB hd, but just changed the name it booted from to the name of the drive. thanks!

Internal Hard drive start up problems scince installing a new one

Hi All,
I had installed a new WD Green hard drive in my intel 17" iMac.
I set up via Leopard the installation process and all went well (Disk utilities, partition etc).
When I was initially installing applications/upgrades and restarting the computer (not powering off) the system was running well.
So, I powered off and when I came back to the iMac and powered on, I came to a grey screen which showed a folder icon with a question mark in it. It did not recognise my new hard drive.
I went back to the installation disk and pressed the 'C' key and went to disk utilities. It recognised the hard drive and the installed system, and when restarted it booted back into the Leopard OS. I thought all was fixed. I powered off again and the same gray screen and icon came back. (I had previously set via System preferences the start up disk etc).
I reinstalled my original hard drive and powering off and on is not a problem-it booted straight back into Leopard.
Any clues what is going on?

1- Go to ''Finder'' and click on the option ''Go''.
2- Click on ''Utilities''.
3- Click on ''Disk utility''.On that window take a look to see if the drive is listed
4- Click on the drive ( it will appear twice, select the one that shows the capacity)
5- Click on ''First Aid''.
6- Select ''Repair Disk''

Serial Number problem Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - Illustrator CS6

J'ai reçu hier les programmes Adobe Acrobat Pro XI et Illustrator CS6 par mon Université. J'ai reçu aussi les deux licences qui vont avec. Maintenant quand j'essaie de introduire les deux licences un message "we are unable to validate this serial number……." s'affiche. Je devrais contacter le service client, mais il y a pas de numéro de telephone et la chat marche jamais…..
Est ce que quelqu'un a déjà une solution ?
Les deux programemes vont être installe sur un Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 avec une version du OsX 10.8.5.

Problem running Trial Version of illustrator CS6.

Very long startup time, 3 or more minutes. Half the time it would just hang, and I would have to force quit. My old Illustrator Version CS works great starts in 10 seconds. New Version worked fine if I could get it to load? I need to upgrade my old version, its CS and won't work if I update my OSX. All I need is a Intel version.
I'm retired, and only use Illustrator once in a while. Make direction maps, and other info for my Astronomy Clubs out reach programs. Star Partys for Middle Schools. Was thinking about getting Ver CS5, but will it work? And ifI have a problem will I be stuck with CS5?

Did you receive any error messages when installing Illustrator? What version of Mac OS are you using?

Problems Re-Installing Adobe CS3 Illustrator

Hello,
I was having problems with Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Acrobat. Specifically making pdfs from InDesign (which contained illustrator eps). I took out my Illustrator CS3 preferences and threw the application in the trash. Now, even though I purchased the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium, I can't re-install Illustrator. I have a job that must go out on Monday and need to get this fixed. Adobe Photoshop works fine and so does InDesign. Acrobat is still problematic. I believe this Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium is an upgrade from a CS2 Premium. I no longer have the CS2, having thrown it away.
When I try to install Illustrator off my CS3, the application seems to be working for a while, then it asks me for a CS4 disk (which I don't have and never purchased).
Can someone please help me?

Problem with selection tool in illustrator cs6

I'm trying to complete an illustration in inllustrator cs6. When I select the image there's no longer a bounding box that can be
manipulated (scaled, rotated etc.) like in previous versions of illustrator. I have to select an object on the path and then
select a tool from the tools palette to execute the simplest task. Please advise.

Swatches are included in the New documents profiles that are included in the "Profile" menu. Have you been selecting a profile from there deliberately? What happens if you do so now - select for instance "Print" or "Web"?
If documents still don't contain swatches and you're certain you didn't change the document profiles, then they might have been corrupted.

It looks to be issue with Oracle instant client setup and configuration
Please refer SAP note to perform Oracle instant client setup

Oracle Instant Client Installation and Configuration on Unix
Once this is done, stop listener and start it again.
Then resume with installation.

Problem in installing a new DDR RAM on my board MSI 915GLM-V

I have a System whose configuration is as follows
Mainboard:MSI 915GLM-V
Processor: Intel P4 3.06Mhz(533 FSB)
Bios :Award V3.3
Memory: 256MB(64*4) DDR RAM in one DIMM slot(333 Mhz).
I wanted to increase the memory to 512 MB and hence bought a new256 MB(333 MHZ and 32 *8) card. But whenever I insert my card, My system never boots up. I am unable to even enter the bios.
I even replaced my old DDR RAM with this new one. But still my system never comes up. Is there any reason that my system is not recognising the new memory. Or is it that 32*8 not supported by this motherboard.

Sorry, your DDR RAM is not supported. You need 64*4 for 256MB, or 64*8 for 512MB.

i installed crs and oracle db,next step i want to create a db on asm using dbca.rsp

wouldn't create database using dbca is more easy and error-less?
Template file format is basically like xml format. If you have created Diskgroup then you can use
$ dbca -silent -createDatabase -templateName General_Purpose.dbc -gdbName mydb -sid mydb1,mydb2 -SysPassword Myss123456 -SystemPassword Myss123456 -emConfiguration NONE -storageType ASM -asmSysPassword Myss123456 -diskGroupName ORADG

i downloaded flex sdk 3.4.0 and unzipped it under the "sdks" floder,i think there should be an "Add" button to let me select it,but the button was gone.

from Flex sdk 3.3 to Flex sdk 4 and that solved the issue.
