Problems to reach ASA5510 via IE on Windows Vista

Dear all,
since some days we have a ASA5510, we connected it on a Windows Vista Laptop via ethernet cable (using at the back of the router the mgtm slot) and connect it on the network slot on the laptop.
Laptop is getting IP addresses automatically.
Now we tried to reach the router in the Internet Explorer using: http://192.168.1.1, but we could not reach this site.
When I try to ping the router via cmd and typing ping 192.168.1.1 I get answers.
For us it is very important to change the IP address of the router, as he will be used in a network with 10.xxx.xxx.xx addresses.
I have no idea, what I did wrong here
Would be nice, if someone has an idea.
Just to let you know, I'm not that Network specialist, all I know comes from learning by doing. So sorry in advance for any stupid question I may have.
Thanks for your patience.

Great, this worked!
I have now changed the IP address into one of the address ranges I need and waiting now that the step of communicating the new configuration to the rotuer will be finished.
Let's cross the fingers, that it will work successfully.
Edit 1 11:07 - Is it normal that it take that long to send the new IP address configuration to the Router?
Edit 2 14:54 - It is now accessable on the new IP range. Now having another issue for which I will create a new discussion.

  • Problems signing into itunes store account from windows vista

I have recently downloaded the latest version of itunes for a new computer running Windows Vista. I already have an apple ID account to use with the store and have been able to access this on other computers, but every time I try to sign in on the new computer it has an error message that the "network connection has timed out". I have searched for help for this, which appears to be a common issue, and all the recommended solutions like checking firewall settings have not helped as I am still unable to sign in. My internet connection is fine, and I am able to access the store itself, just not my account.
If anyone could help with this problem I would be very grateful.

Excellent. If you ever want to uninstall that trial Norton, keep in mind that you need a special removal tool from Symantec. Simply uninstalling it via Add/Remove Programs does NOT delete it from your PC. It really is horrible software.

  • Problems with iTunes and iPod running under Windows Vista

I recently changed my computer. I now have an HP Pavilion running windows Vista (use to have XP). I have a video iPod -30GB. I downloaded iTunes onto the new equipment without incident, but that is the last thing that went smoothly.
I can no longer watch TV shows or movies from iTunes. The video plays like a slide show of stills (the audio is real-time however). Eventually I will get an error message from Windows and it closes the application.
I am also having issues with syncing my iPod and computer. I get a message requiring me to delete all of the content of the iPod and replace it with the contents of iTunes. I haven't done this -no trust and no backup
The delete message is from iTunes. I suspect it is a security feature to prevent downloading to more than one iPod, as iTunes doesn't seem to 'know' my iPod anymore. Syncing has also caused iTunes to close and my computer to reboot. Has anyone else had these problems?

you may want to take a look at the iPod 101 tutorials. Those might help.

I'm also having the same problem (on XP) on 10.1.3.4 I'm guessing this is a security issue but can anyone tell me how this can be resolved.

I have a Computer HP Pavilion dv6000 to purchase about 2 years ago and have kept the operating system Windows Vista, my problem is that two weeks ago the audio stopped working and do not know how to fix it and look for solutions online but does not solve anything.
Only  the audio icon appears as disabled and takes no action

    Hello Heriberto_Bta,
I see that you are having problems with the sound on your HP computer. I have a couple of suggestions that may help with this issue.
Here is a link to some troubleshooting steps for no sound issues on Windows Vista. Follow the steps in the link and let me know what happens.
Can you also provide the full model and product number of the computer? Here is a link that shows how to find that information.

  • Problems authorizing my iTunes since I added Windows Vista...

Does anyone else install Windows Vista and have a problem authorizing their account? Like, mine says that it's authorized and when I go to play the song, it's automatically, unauthorized again. No me gusta. This is really, making me mad.

    JeffreyTravis:
Let's see if we can find out what the problem is. Try this:
    1. Choose Control Panel from the Start Menu.
    2. Open Folder Options.
    3. From the View tab, turn on this option:
    Show hidden files and folders
    and turn off this option:
    Hide protected operating system files.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Navigate to Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Users > All Users > Apple Computer > iTunes
    6. There should be a folder there named SC Info.
    7. Right-click on that folder and choose Properties.
    8. Click the Security tab
    9. Select Everyone from the Group or user names list.
    10. Use Print Screen to take a screen shot and save it as a Paint document on your desktop.
    11. Repeat step 10 for SYSTEM and Administrators from the Group or user names list.
    12. Email me those three screen shots.

  • Problems Installing Java Studio Enterprise 8.1 - Windows Vista

I am entirely new to the Java language and environment. I am trying to install the JSE 8.1. First I installed JDK 6.4 (jdk-6u4-windows-i586-p.exe), which seemed to go OK. Then I attempted to install the JSE (jstudio_ent81-ml-windows.exe).
First, it did not find a JRE and prompted me to specify, which I did (specified the java.exe within the JDK (Program Files/java/jdk1.6.0_04/bin). The installation continued for a while and then it tells me that "it cannot run the installer in graphical mode - check the DISPLAY environment variable". At this point is closes and that's the end of it. I see no trace of either the JDK nor the JSE in the Start/Programs folder.
Am I doing something wrong? Is Vista a non-starter?
    Thanks,
    Kevank

    Kevank,
Thank you for trying out Sun-sponsored Java developer tools. However in the case of Java Studio Enterprise (JSE) there are two issues here:
    1) JSE is not supported on the Windows Vista OS and probably will not run correctly even if it were installable, see http://developers.sun.com/jsenterprise/reference/docs/jse8_1/sjse_relnotes81.html and
    2) The latest Java developer tools technology is to be found in the free NetBeans 6.0 IDE at http://www.netbeans.org/ . It is strongly recommended, especially if you are a developer new to Java, that you start out using the NetBeans IDE, which is not only supported on Vista (see http://www.netbeans.org/community/releases/60/relnotes.html#system_requirements ), but also contains the Java Enterprise application development features found in JSE, see http://www.netbeans.org/features/ .
If you have any questions on this please feel free to let us know on the forum.
    Regards,
    -Brad Mayer

  • Problems with itunes sound via bluetooth in windows 8

I had that problem too. Maybe it works when you change your Bitrate in Itunes. My Bluetooth speakers run at 48 Khz and after the Itunes update, Itunes changed his settings to 44.1 kHz (before the update it was also 48kHz). I hope i could help you. Sorry for bad english i'm from Germany

  • Problems with the installation of iTunes on Windows Vista

When I download any version of itunes error occurs' Microsoft.VC80.CRT, Version =8.0.50727.4053'',''type =''win32'',''1fc8b3b9 ... publicKeyToken = Architecture =''or86''. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736FD'. How can I solve this problem?

    HRESULT: 0x800736FD
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736FD, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

  • Compatibility problem with USMT 6.3.9600 and Windows Vista

    Hi,
We have a problem with USMT 6.3.9600 ()ADK 8.1) while running on Vista. At start we are receiving an error saying it is not a win32 application. USMT 6.2.9200 would work on Vista but not on Windows 8.1.
    Any workaround?

  • Problems dowloading upgraded version of Java using Windows Vista

I am unfortuneatly using Vista OS and easch time I try to log into a game area such as POGO.com it asks me to download Java. When I do it tells me it downloaded successfully but when I click "PLAY NOW" it just asks me again to download Java. Is there a patch that I need to use because of Vista? What can I do to get past this? I am fed up!

I have no specific answer to resolve the problem. Try searching the net, others have likely experienced the same problem and may have a solution.
If you wish, you can try using Windows install/remove program function to uninstall all Java installations it lists. Reboot, then see what POGO asks you to do.

  • Problems updating iPhone to 3.0 on Windows Vista

Alright so I decided to attempt to install the 3.0 software onto my iPhone 3G.
I walked away from my computer and came back to "Could not install due to unknown error."
After this my iPhone went into recovery mode and is no longer recognized by iTunes at all. I've tried putting it into DFU mode and connecting it to my computer but still no dice. I even connected it to a computer running XP under both recovery and DFU mode and still iTunes will not recognize my phone.
I've run out of things to try and this is EXTREMELY frustrating, anyone out there come up with a fix for this?

I had mega problems too. Try following my posting as below after creating a new user account on your computer. See my posting on 20/06/2009 22:33 titled "Upgrade Error number 4 and Restore Error 1603 when going to OS 3.0 - Solved"
And turn off any antivirus and firewall software too, before doing so. And also click the Restore Button on the ITunes Summary page which seems to force the iphone into an update. Dont try using the Check for update button. Good Luck, Tony

  • Problem playing Audio CD (.cda files) on Windows Vista

    Hey,
I am having problems playing an Audio CD. On XP everything is working fine. On Vista, the files seem to be playing, but I am not getting any sound (playing .wav files for example is also no problem, it's just the cda files from an audio cd).
This problem does not only occur in my own code, also the JMStudio application produces no sound playing tracks from the cd.
Is there anything that needs to be configured in Vista in order to make that work?
    Thanks a lot,
    sirpreis

I should point out there's no such thing as playing a CDA file. CDA files are simply indexing information about where to find the actual track data on the disk.
My best guess is that Vista's sandbox won't let Java go and fetch the actual audio tracks from the CD, because it's more restrictive than Vistas.
Other good guesses would including that whatever native code JMF uses to fetch CD audio works in XP but it doesn't work in Vista. That would certainly make sense...
If JMStudio doesn't work, your code probably wont ever work either. Sorry :-/
