Problems transfering with itunes/explorer

hi
i just got a new ipod shuffle from apple after my old one died, im having trouble transfering songs to the ipod with itunes, as soon as i drag a song or playlist and drop it onto the shuffle it begins the transfer stage, then it disconnects itself and disappears from itunes and explorer, it does the same thing with transfering files to the shuffle aswell
any ideas?

I'll keep playing and let you know if I find an answer.I think it may be issues with new firmware/software. I can transfer upto 5 songs after a full reinstal? It's odd.

Has Apple acknowledged the problem yet with itunes aborting preview of songs after about 10 seconds on windows 7 and if so is there an answer other than ipconfig?

Doublechecking ... do you still get that if you update to iTunes 10.6.3.25 (just released today)?

It sounds like you are getting this error code when you are trying to access the iTunes Store.
I found this article with this error listed in the symptoms section, for you that should help troubleshoot the issue named:

Resolution
The cause for these issues is a program that monitors the Winsock protocol for Windows conflicting with Apple software. These programs usually use a Layered Service Provider (LSP) that can help identify the particular program installed. The programs that monitor this protocol have a variety of purposes, including security software, content filtering, and optimization of network traffic.
To find the LSP:
Download Autoruns for Windows from Microsoft
Look for Autoruns.ZIP and open the compressed folder.
After reviewing the contents and the license, drag autoruns.exe to the desktop.
Open Autoruns.
Click on the tab that says Winsock Providers.
A list of items should appear. A column showing the publisher should be available.
For items other than Bonjour, which is from Apple, check with the publisher for updates to resolve the conflict between their software and Apple software.
If the publisher is unfamiliar to you, you may be able to use the table below to find out more information about the origin of the modifications to Windows.

Anyone having Laging problems tonight with itunes store,I seem to be having some major laging problems,anmd when I click on a song to sample it needs to search URL,,allmost all the time as of tonight? anyone can or have any awnsers thanks..

I've had no problem whatsoever with itunes for months, and now out of nowhere it wont show any songs on shuffle even though i have it clicked to my library, it says none are available. Whenever I play songs on a playlist it wont move to the next song, will only play one song and stop. it does this throughout itunes. I tried repairing and reinstalling

You unchecked all the songs.
To the left of the song name is a little box. When you click it, it turns blue and a checkmark appears in it.
iTunes will only "automatically" play songs that are checked.
You can check/uncheck all the songs in your visible list by holding CTRL while checking/unchecking one of them.

IPhone - Problems Syncing with iTunes

Hi,
Can anyone help with a an iPhone syncing issue:
- I recently upgraded to iTunes 9.0.1 and my 3GS (OS3.1) will no longer sync smoothly with iTunes.
On connection:
- iPhone shows up in iTunes Devices list
- iTunes displays the message "An iPhone has previously been synced with this computer"
- iTunes then asks me to "SET UP YOUR iPHONE" - giving only two options:
.... [ SET UP A NEW iPHONE ]
.... [ RESTORE A BACKUP OF iPHONE (Pulldown) ]
- At this stage I have no other options available.
So, not wanting to set up a new iPhone, because it isn't, I try the "RESTORE" option, which I don't really want to do, but it's an up to date copy of the iPhone... So not a biggie. It runs for a while then restarts.
Now, none of this is a huge problem, but it's a real pain in the a*se having to restore the iPhone each time it's connected to the Mac.
Any ideas?

Hi is anyone else getting the same problems that I get with iTunes 11.1.3.8?
iTunes is VERY slow to load. Then when I try to dowload updates it downloads the first update, then hangs saying "Processing File" It will stay like this until I restart the computer. Sometimes I get the Error Message: Err 3253.
If I try to close iTunes and then reopen it, it WILL NOT OPEN!
I have tried repairing itunes through the Control Panel.
And I have tried deleting and the reinstalling it.
Any help, advice etc gratefully accepted.

Here's a few temporary work-arounds that may work for you, hopefully you don't have a HUGE amount of apps on your iTunes that need updating.
1.) Update all of the apps via your iPhone/iPad and then sync your device with your iTunes, that will update all the apps that you're unable to update via download on iTunes.
2.) If the apps aren't on your iPhone/iPad and you've got the room, redownload them to your iPhone/iPad and sync your device. That will update the apps you're unable to update via iTunes, you can delete them off your phone/pad when you're done updating them on your computer.
3.) Instead of "updating" the apps via the update section of iTunes, make note of what the app is, check that it's still available for download on the store (sometimes stuff gets pulled and you don't want to do this before you check) - once you've confirmed that the app is still available for download, instead of downloading it in the update section DELETE it (remove it entirely from your iTunes and send it to recycle) then RE-DOWNLOAD it fresh from the store, I've found that it's only the update section that hangs on processing, not the store section.
Hope those help, that's what I did because I'm compulsive about keeping my apps and software up to date.

IPad Mini - problem syncing with iTunes

I've a problem syncing my iPad Mini with iTunes. I've a Macbook Pro 10.8.2 and also iTunes 11.0.1. Everything seems to be right. At the bottom line "how many GB is left", video and music shows sometime, but disappear when I try to sync. I've turned everything on and off a billion times now, try only to syn music, but nothing works. Can anybody please help me?

New computer, problems now with iTunes

We very recently upgraded our computer to a HP and have Windows 7. Downloaded iTunes 64 and all seemed OK. We have 2 x iPod Touches (one each for kids) and I have an iPhone 4S. Tried to open iTunes with one of the iPods and figured out that I had to authorise new computer. Done. Also had to transfer over from old computer to new computer ???? library (cant remeber now AARRGGHH). Think i did that correctly. Problem is now when I link up either Apple device with iTunes via cable (no WI FI) iTunes will not open up automatically, need to shut computer off and restart, iTunes screen freezes and although it shows what apps are on each Apple devive they are all shown superimposed ontop of each other on one sreen. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated. i have already removed iTunes and downloaded the programme twice.

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

It's possible the AppleTV is being seen as a streaming only library - are you able to view streamed content under My Movies etcor My Shared Movies etc?
If the content is new and is HD it's possible you're downloading 1080p which ATV1 can't handle or sync.

Are you using a computer that has perviously been authorized for the Digital Downloads? have you authorized your iPad? I had the same issue with migrating apps from an iPod Touch to a Verizon iPhone 4. Once I signed in with the Apple ID on the device and authorized the compute with the same Apple ID, I was able to sync the apps. Hope this helps.
FYI, I am having issues playing movies with more than 2channel Audio in IOS 4.3, be mindful of the number of audio channels your digital downloads have.

Each time I connect to my IBM computer it crashes with blue screen error message pops up. Apple say that it's my printer/camera drivers. The problem is with iTunes, it likes to play with all the ports on my comp and conflicts with prnt drivers. How to fix

Does anyone know how to fix this problem without disabling my printer. It's very frustrating. It's either I have my iPad or my printer. iTunes likes to play with the ports on my computer thereby causing a conflict with my printer drivers. Apple should fix this problem, I'm so annoyed.

Apple say that its a driver problem, but I've never had this problem before so I am not convinced. Another thread, which I can't seem to find, suggests that it is an apple problem - itunes plays with the ports on the company causing conflicts with existing drivers. I isolated the conflict to my new Samsung printer. I uninstalled the Samsung printer driver and then can successfully connect my ipad without the blue screen appearing.
It's not a windows problem. Windows is working fine. Only happens when Ipad is connected. Actually, this first happened after I installed the new version of itunes. I reget installing the new itunes version, but don't know how to reinstall the previous itunes version.

Problems (bugs) with Project Explorer LV8.5.1 Windows Vista 64bit

I am using Windows Vista 64bit with all updates and service packs on an ASUS G1 dual core 4gig memory. After writing code for a while I find that I cannot execute my top level vi from the project explorer. I can run the vi from outside the project no problem. If I try to create a new project and load the vi into it the LV hangs and the windows task manager cannot kill either the vi or the new project explorer, I have to reboot the computer to recover. I have attached the vi.
