Problems transferring music from turntable to computer with Audigy 2ZS Plse He

I originally had Sound Blaster PC28. I have installed last year Audigy 2ZS with 6 analog plugs and updated regularly. Everything is fine from burning to playing music of any format allowed. However, last week I tried to transfer vinyl music to my computer using Sony Sound Forge Version 8 and nothing works. Here's what I did. Luxman Turntable connected with ground to LINE IN ( in DENON amp ) and in the AUX output I have 2 Monster cables boing to my computer twinned on goldplaited /8 jack which is connected to the second (from right) LINE IN in the sound card. This done while referring to Manual & Getting Started Demo Creative program in the software. NO SOUND AT ALL COMES IN the computer - while the music is playing qell on my audio system player. I've done all kind of adjustment with the Microsoft Volume Play & Recording Controls and with Creative Mixer.
I can only distinguish on Sony Sound Forge two volume bars that there is some faint connection fluttering . I still tried to record but upon playback, there is no visual waving lines illustrated in SoundForge window nor sound played back. I expected that. What am I doing wrong or is Audigy 2ZS not suitable for such ? FYI, I tried the other5 jacks on the sound car ( adjusting to WHAT U HEAR or LINE IN controls ) .
The infos in Creative manual and software demo show the 2nd jack of analog sound card from the right being used as a LINE IN for cassette, synthesizer & cd player ( Iguess it goes also for truntable ? - i tried with cd player and it does not work either ) Third jack from the right is only for microphone (also tried but does not work either) . Sorry for lenghty description, I tried all I could . Am retired 7 yrs old and i wish to transfer all my jazz vinyls to puter inorder to make cds. Kindest to All for your help. Merci beaucoup !

Connections:
Turntable_(out)-->(in)_[Denon phono input w/ RIAA preamp]_(out)-->(in)_[Audigy Line-In (see the user's guide)]
(if you want to play back through Denon amp, --> [Audigy line-out [_(out)-->(in)_[Denon line-in (playback or aux-in)].
Software settings:
Creative CT Mixer
- enable Wave and Line-In sources, set level to 50-00%
- set .Rec source to AnalogMix(), set level to 50-00%
- find the best levels (I normally have these set as: line-in = 70% (.rec = 00% if not using ASIO drivers))
SoundForge:
- (depending on device driver mode you're using and which A2ZS model you have there), set input to AnalogMix() (w/ ASIO) or just select the one meant for Line-In,
- set recording levels

You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

Having problems transferring music from my pc

I bought an ipad 3 last week and seem to be having difficulties transferring music from my pc. Do I click import, this seem to work but only transferred 2 1/2 albums & podcasts.

Tried a disk clean up and even upgraded the firmware on my player.
Now in nomad explorer the music files do not even show up while the data library still take ages to load and I still cant transfer anything from it as it tells it cannot read from jukebox device.
Tried deleting some files to see what would happen ? the file says it has been deleted but when I disconnected and looked in library again the file was still there.
I forgot to mention in my first post that I was able to transfer everything off my Zen onto pc but I had to remaster my computer and as such lost all files and since then I cant transfer off the Zen - not sure if that matters but thought I should mention it
Can?t really test at friends? computer because even if I could and it worked I have 25 GB of files that need to be transferred which doesn?t make it feasible to transfer all onto a friend?s computer
Any help is grateful as I need to back up my music files in case my Zen breaks down (I am on my third Zen in 4 months as the first two were defecti've)

Transferring music from Iphone to Computer problems

I am really not sure where to ask this.
I am transferring my music from my iphone to my computer because it seems a lot of my songs on my computer have disappeared over the last few years. There is a folder for the band, but the music is all gone. My phone has all of it. So to make it easy I got Sharepod to transfer the music. It has fixed some of the problem, but there is still about 4 gigs of music on my phone, that does not transfer over. I know that sharepod could be the problem (even tho I don't know how the music disappeared in the first place). Does anyone have any kind of answers, or a better method to transfer my music. My backup hdd recently failed so the iphone is my only option.
I am truely sorry for asking here, but I am running out of places to ask.

Music should never disappear from an iTunes library unless you are having HDD problems. So I would start by resolving that problem.
Was the music all downloaded from iTunes, or does it come from multiple sources? If it is all iTunes you can restore it to your computer by connecting the phone and choosing "Transfer purchases" from the iTunes File menu. If it is from multiple sources then you need an iPhone file browser. I am not familiar with Sharepod, so I don't know if it is the problem or not. I have heard good things about TouchCopy.

hi, your message is kind of old and you've probably already figured out how to transfer the music. i just read some of the replies to you and see that no one mentions the "Autofill" option so i wanted to let you know--just in case it might help you to do things a bit less complicated. i had the same problem with the new version of iTunes (11.0) and discovered the best way to transfer your music is to add it to your iTunes library like you usually do and click on the "Autofill" button at the bottom so the music is transferred without problems. You still won't get to keep your playlists (I know right? ******* genius whoever came up with this brilliant idea...) and you must make sure you're "auto-filling" the music from the recently added list, otherwise it will just transfer music from a different location.

Transferring music from Ipod to computer but I'm missing a LOT of songs

My uncle has an Ipod classic and it's pretty old. He got it when Ipods first came out and I think it's about eight years old but he doesn't use it that much and it still works. I'm trying to transfer the songs off the Ipod to the computer. This isn't the problem, everything looks fine--I plugged it in, checked show hidden folders/files, went to Ipod control and into the music folder where there are folders labeled F00, F01, etc...I've done this many times with other Ipods. The problem with this one is that once you copy and paste all the music from the F00-F49 folders into a new folder, there are only around 420 songs. He has almost 4700 on his Ipod. But they're simply not showing up on the computer. If I go to Itunes, the Ipod shows up and it says he's using 15.5 GB which is correct for an Ipod with 4700 songs. But...I just can't find the songs anywhere. Any ideas?

Hello Steve, CS6 Web Design was installed on a new computer with Windows 8 Pro operating system that CS3 was never installed on. My old computer with operating system XP Pro had CS3 installed. In CS6 I'm missing all of the Genuine fonts, Myriad Pro light, the Helvetica fonts to name a few that come to mind but there more missing in CS6 that were in CS3, and when I pull up old art for a new project it of course wants to use substitute fonts.

Transfering music from different itunes accounts with different ids...

I am trying to transfer music from one itunes account, set up on old computer to a new itunes account set up on new computer. The problem is it is two different ids. How can I transfer all of my older music to this new account?

You cannot transfer music from one acount to another.
However you can authorise the 2nd computer to play the other id music
Ctrl B to show top menu
Store > Authorise this computer...
Then you can copy the music over to your itunes and it will play on your machine

Transfering music from ipod onto computer

I recently shared some music with a friend by putting it on my ipod from their itunes on their computer but i can't take it from my ipod and drag it into my library. is there any other way that i can do this?

Hello Rachel, and welcome aboard.
The simplest way of doing what you're asking for is to ask your friend to burn your choice of music on a CD and import it into your own iTunes.

I bought music from itunes on my ipad, I want to transfer it to my computer so I can put it on a cd to play in my truck. I tried to select and drag over and copy and past it wont allow me. I had the same trouble getting music from iPhone 4 to the computer. However, there is a method in doing this that involves authorizing the computer. Go to the "Store" tab in iTunes and look for "Authorize Computer". After you do authorize it, got ot the "File" tab and click on "Transfer Purchases". Although I've only done this once, this method should work.

My computer have crashed. I have now replaced the broken harddisc and installed SW. I only have my music in my iPod now. How do I trigger a transfer from my iPod to iTunes, it doesn't happen by it self when the iPod is connected and listed in iTunes?
I currently got music and filmes in the iPod. And I do not want to loose any of it, just get it copied over to iTunes.

HT1296 Need help transferring music from iPhone to computer

My computer crashed when I was trying to make backups of everything on it and I wasn't able to backup my music. But now that my computer is fixed how do I get music from my iPhone back onto my computer? Any suggestions. And all my music wasn't purchased through iTunes.

For non-iTunes purchased music you'll have to use a third-party tool. Google for "iphone music copy" for options. For iTunes purchased content just choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu in iTunes.

Problems transfering music from external hard drive to ipod.

When I plug both ipod and external hard driver (WD 1600B014) into my Gateway laptop, only 1 device will work at a time with the other saying "usb device not recognised". This means I am unable to copy selected itunes songs onto my ipod.
This is driving me insane as I have 60gb of music on my hard drive which I want to chop and change frequently.
I have tried all manner of solutions including buying a powered usb hub (belkin) and starting a clean sheet with my laptop, installing all manner of new drivers for the usb ports.
I have the same problem with my 5G ipod 40gb.
I have tried the same problem on my dads desktop computer and the same problem arrises.
Does anyone have any answers as this has been driving me mad for ages and ages.
Is this a common thing or is it a problem with Western digital hard drives (although i thought they were a pretty big brand).

No, you don't have to copy the tracks to your internal hard drive. Just turn off the "copy music to iTunes Music Folder when adding" option in the iTunes Advanced preferences. Then use the "Add To Library" menu command and select the appropriate folder(s) on your external drive. iTunes will add the tracks to the Library but not move them to the internal drive.
Once that's done, use iTunes to transfer the music to the iPod. You can then, if iTunes is set for manual synchronization, remove the tracks from the Library if you want to remove the reference to the external drive.

First, stop typing in all caps. It is considered SHOUTING and is perceived as rude, which may explain why such a simple question has gone unanswered for as long as it has.
You cannot use an iPhone to transfer music to another computer. You have to add the music collection to the new computer the same way you did to the old computer. Any iTunes purchases are still available via your Apple ID. But any music added from other sources (such as CDs) have to be transferred to the new computer using another method, not the iPhone.
