I get a message "could not initalize scratch disk full" I have a new computer with Win 8 and I am installing PS 7. how can I fix the scratch disk problem? Thank you for the help.

Are you saying that the Installation failed, or that Photoshop has installed but won't open?
You say Photoshop PS7.  Is that a typo, or do you really mean the version that was released in 2002 and that preceded Photoshop CS?

If you do indeed mean PS7, then I am afraid that is not compatible with Windows 8.1

    JustMeAndYou,
    For what it's worth ...
Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups . (For most people, this will involve either CD's/DVD's or an external drive .)
That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form on this page:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
Good Luck! But whatever the response from Apple, remember:
Your music is valuable - please back it up!

  • I have Adobe 5.0, original disk, 6.0 upgrade, original disk, and Adobe CS2. I'd like to install in my new computer with Win.8.1. Can you help?

I have Adobe 5.0, original disk, 6.0 upgrade, original disk, and Adobe CS2. I'd like to install in my new computer with Win.8.1. Can you help?

Forget about all the versions you already have (5.0 through to CS2). They will no longer work and the serial numbers are redundant.
Download the non-activation version of CS2 form the link provided by kglad and use the new non-activation serial number provided at that link. Your existing serial number(s) will no longer work.
Note: there is no guarantee that CS2 will run well on Win 8.1. Try it and see.

Please help. I have a new computer and an ipod nano 7th generation. I am having problems getting my music from Itunes library to my ipod. How do you do it?

    Hello Sandy
You can transfer the purchases from your iPhone to your new computer by following the steps in following article.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
If you have music that was not purchased from the iTunes Store, then you will not be able to move it from the iPhone to your computer. Instead you will need to follow the steps in this article that helps with moving the library from the old to the new.

  • Problem Transfereing Music. Computer Freezes.

Hi there. Just got a new Ipod and I am haveing problems transferring music to it. I installed Itunes and loaded all my music into it. My problem comes whenever I try and transfer my music to the Ipod. As soon as I try and transfer it the computer basically goes into hibernation mode and won't come out without restarting the computer.
    Anyone else had this problem?

thanks - all other usb devices are disconnected. I tried to run the error check on the ipod, but when I click "start" (on the tools tab) that screen just goes away & doesn't seem to be doing anything.

  • HT4527 Pb with Home share moving music and playlist transfers to new computer

I am trying to move my music library and playlists from my old computer (which I want to get rid of once I get my files transfered) to my new computer.  After searching and reading, it seemed Home Sharing would be easiest method.  I shared my library between my old and new computer.  The help screen indicated you had to then save the shared list to the new computer if you want to deactivate the sharing feature (and not use other computer).
When I tried to copy music I'd shared onto new computer, it appears to work until I go to play the music on the computer.  Then all the songs cut off about a minute from the end.  How do I fix this problem?
Playlists: With the playlists, I followed the directions and exported my playlists to a memory stick and then imported them onto the new computer via itunes.  The playlists all show up, but when I play music from the playlist it only plays the first 15 seconds of the song and then moves onto the next song.  How do I fix this problem?
Thanks for any insight, directions anyone can share.  I have a PC with Windows 7

With a Mac, you'd connect the iPhone to the Mac using the USB cable and then launch iPhoto or whatever other photo/movie application you like, and then import the videos from the phone. You should be able to do the same with your PC; use whatever video importer you like, it should treat the iPhone like any other camera.
You can also use this iOS app, but it will only work pictures and with fairly short videos.

  • Time Machine failure transfering to new computer

    Hello,
I was having a lot of problems with my 2009 Macbook Pro for various reasons that lead to a lot of random restarts and frozen screens, I took it in multiple times and nothing came of it so they gave me a replacement one under Apple Care. So my situation is that I have TimeMachine and had many successful backups before I recieved the new computer, but during the last backup on my old computer it froze up. Now I am trying to get that information from my old computer onto my new one and Time Machine is saying that my backup is damaged.
Is there a way I can get the information that would still be on TimeMachine on to my new computer despite the failed most recent backup?
(Migration Assistance is not showing my prior saves on my timemachine, saying I need to "make sure it is not currently mounted by another machine", which I assume that it would be mounted to my old (now gone) computer.)
So also is there something I need to do to unmount it or how to access it in a way to solve the previous problem.
    Thanks for your time

After logining in the information for my time machine it has all the devices that have been backed up on it,
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by that.  Where are your backups (an external HD, a Time Capsule, a Network Drive, or ??).
And/or, take a look at Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #14 -- can you tell me which window you're seeing that on?  Screen title or paragraph number is fine.
when I click on my old back up it says "Cannot be open. If it is a password protected backup you entered the incorrect password. Otherwise the backup may be damaged."
Is that on the same window?
For the migration assistance program the time machine disk does show up under the select you system screen. But then under the same page I click continue and then it only lists my other devices.
Ah, do you mean you've backed-up more than one Mac to the same place, and when you select that line, you see only the others, something like this:
I do not currently have access to my old Mac but I am seeing if I can get it back.
Good.  I hope you don't need it.
Please clarify as above where your backups are, if there are multiple Macs there, and whether the backups were made over a network or locally (ie, connected directly to your Mac via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt).  Then we can dig deeper to see if we can find your stuff.

  • Problems booting my new computer

    Hello!
I have a real newbie problem that I hope someone could help me with. I have just started up my new computer with P4M890M mothercard but all I get is the message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I was equipped with a CD "drivers and utilities" from MSI but somehow the computer cannot read it. I have tried to access the BIOS setup to see if it maybe is looking for a floppy (with TAB during start up) but even that does not work.
    Could someone please help me?

    Thanks for your help!!
I have set the SATA as RAID and enabled SATA BIOS Execute but all it does is giving me the messages "media test failure " and "exiting intel PXE ROM" followed by the same old boot message. I also get the message that I shouldn´t use PROM creation operation if I install LINUX partion RAID driver.
What am I doing wrong here?

  • Adobe CC year membership not transferred to new computer - How do I get it back?

Earlier this year, I company I worked for bought me a year's subscription to Adobe CC. When got a new computer I wanted to transfer the membership, so I signed out of the desktop app on my old computer and installed it (and signed in) on my new machine. Whilst my premium typekit membership has transferred, I was just offered to start a 30 Day Trial of the programmes rather than showing them as purchased.
I looked on my adobe account and there's no evidence of a paid membership there it just says 'free trial version'. Any suggestions on how to get it back? Help much appreciated

Make sure your are using the same email address in which the subscription is associated.

  • Complicated- No original Adobe Photoshop Software Info for transferring to new computer...

Ok, so in 2009 my father bought me a new computer (Acer, PC) and had his personal tech guy add Adobe Photoshop. Unfortunately, he never informed me of the Photoshop software, nor did I receive the CD installation or any other form of documentation and so I only recently discovered the Photoshop software while trying to transfer files to my newer laptop (Dell, PC). Now I'm just trying to figure out what my options are for getting the software information and having it transferred to my new laptop without any of the installation software. The old laptop (Acer, PC) barely works but I can access Photoshop, so if there is info on it I can provide to help with helping me with this issue, please request. I apologize if this question is in one of the other help sections but I didn't see it. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your reply and help...wish I'd read it before using the Chat help. Just finished communications with someone through the Chat Help and had to disconnect to find the S/N. Now that I have it I can't seem to re start the open case Chat thing to finish getting the help I need. Regarding the info you gave me after stating I need the S/N I am completely lost and confused on. I have no idea how to figure out if its running in trial mode or if I'm the one it's licensed to. Though I'm pretty sure it's licensed to me. When I've tried registering PS on the older laptop it tells me its registered but when I look for it online it's not there. I shut down PS and reopen it and it asks me to go through the registration process again. Which I've done several times with no other results. I'm sorry, I'm new to all this and am at a loss as to how I'm supposed to proceed...

  • HT201272 about a year ago, I purchased music from iTunes.  The title was Welcome Back My Friends to the Show that Never Ends.  Ladies and Gentleman...Emerson, Lake and Palmer.  I have just bought a new computer with Win 8. Will not move from i Phone.

As the heading states...I cant transfer this album purchase from my phone to my computer.  Only one song gets moved.
All other titles of music has been transfered.  The Store tries to recharge me if I attempt to reload it on my computer,
    David Miles

" When I did this, my library showed all the music I have "purchased" from itunes but did not have the music that I downloaded a long time ago through itunes from my old CDs."
    Correct.
" How can I get that music to show up in my library now on my new computer?  "
Copy it from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.

  • Transferring to new computer

I got a new computer and used PCMover to transfer programs from my old computer to my new one.  Now my Photoshop Elements 9 and my Premiere Elements 9 are now working.  What can I do too make them work on the new computer? HELP!

    Rocky-
You can install and activate the software two computers of the same type (win or pc), as long as you only use  it on one at at a time.
If you want the option to use the software on either, then you don't need to deactivate it.
If, however,  you will never be using the software on the first computer anymore (if you will be giving away the computer, reformatting the drive, etc), sign out first to deactivate the license on that computer: Sign in, Sign out | Creative Cloud desktop app. This allows it to be installed on another computer at any time
To load the software on another computer , download and install it as you did on the first computer. Then enter your serial number to activate it.
