Problems trying to download FF 24 ESR for Mac.
After I click on the zip file, it gives me a .exe file. Once I click on that, nothing pops up on my screen, and I can't find Firefox anywhere in Finder to click on it. What's the next step I need to do after that? Thanks.
Why do you want the Firefox 24 ESR version and not the current Firefox 31 ESR version?

Find your version language version of Firefox 12 and try the download from there. You might also want to check your downloads folder just in case it has been downloaded already ;)

Problems trying to download iPod Software Update 2.0
Ive been trying to download the software update for about 3 hours now, but about every 5 minutes or less i get a error saying:
'There was a problem with the iPod software for the iPod "MyName iPod". The network connection timed out.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.'
But, i'm having no problems whatsoever with my connection, it all seems perfectly fine to me.
If anyone could help me at all with any settings that might be able to be changed or something or anything that could stop this message appearing so that my download will actually be able to get somewhere...

Over the last 18 hours I have tried this update about 30 times and it has failed every time, never at the same point, it downloads a different amount every time but it always stops...
No information from Apple on this issue ? Poor show, I would have expected better from the worlds best computer manufacturer, they give the impression that they think of everything but then it´s little things like this that let them down. -
Downloading the latest upgrades for Mac 10.8.2 keeps stalling. I still have Firefox 17.0.1. the system has tried many times but the process just hangs.
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Yes, I'm having this problem also and mistakenly uninstalled iCloud 3.1 thinking that this would resolve the problem....which it didn't. Now I'm without iCloud period and have been searching for the old version of 3.1 to reinstall to no avail, and it seems that many people are having the same problem. Ivan please choose the default location of your User directory to download the install files. Once the software is downloaded you can then install to your Program Files/Applications folder depending on your operating system.

Hi, Need help. I am trying to download the latest iTunes for Windows application but on running the program it says that it can not be completed as it can not find the folder location of the file "iTunes.msi" . Any clues would be appreciated
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Like a fool I tried to download the new software for my 3GS. Now oI can't get the dam thing activated. I'm in Portugal but my phone originates from the UK. Help.
I actually interpreted this as a carrier lock issue. If that is the case the OP needs to contact the UK carrier who owns the rights to lock the iPhone. Only that carrier can unlock it.
Was the iPhone unlocked by means of jailbreak software? If that is the case, then the reply from Phil McCafrey would apply to this as well. -

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. The hardware prevent unsing a higher version.
