Problems trying to make acapella
Hi I recently bought a Macbook and ordered logic express 8 along with it hoping to edit some tracks and create some acapellas...so i have followed all steps givin to me through youtube on how to make an acapella but logic express is giving me a hard time...please if anyone out there has made an acapella using logic express 8 please let me know what i'm doing wrong...
What's an "acapella"? Surely you don't mean a voice-only arrangement of a song… or do you?
Apart from that, you haven't actually said what the problem is. There's such a wide range of possible problems that you really will have to give us some (preferably lots of) info about what you've got, what you're trying to do, how far you get, where it all goes wrong…
And I believe there may be several different videos on YouTube, so we might not have seen the same one. I did go there & see something about a dancing hamster once, but this might not be the video you mean.
Anyway, get back with loads of details, & we'll be very happy to help.

Problems trying to make a 3D text out of cubes

I want the pixels in 3D and in different colors and then import them into After Effects. There I'd like to move them down the screen, so it looks like the fall from the sky and then assemble as a whole word.
I allready arranged about 80 cubes and then tried to import them into After Effects but there the programm just hangs it self. Now I can't even open the file in Photoshop because it tells me I have to many windows open. Maybe the file is to big because I'm doing it in a completely stupid way, so if anyone can tell me how to solve this problem, I'd be very happyso if anyone can tell me how to solve this problem
Use a 3D program. Aside from that, there is a million ways to get 3D-ish cubes in AE (Shatter, Card Dance, this here, other plug-ins and techniques), you really don't need PS in any way.

Problem trying to make a LC Designer ES4 form "Reader Extended" in Acrobat XI Pro
I have a form that I created in LC Designer ES4 that I was able to successfully "Reader Extend" using Acrobat XI Pro. I added a script to the form to allow for the deselecting of radio buttons (which I found on this forum), and now I cannot Reader Extend the form.
Here are the specifics of my environment:
Acrobat XI Pro - Ver. 11.0.10
Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 - Ver. 11.0.20130826.2.901444
Windows 7 Professional, SP1
Here's the error I am getting in the Acrobat debugger:

This error message appears at the very bottom of the debugger window:

Acrobat XI Pro does not allow me to save the new file, and gives this error:
This document could not be Reader enabled.
I used the chat support for Acrobat XI Pro, and was told that this is a LC Designer issue. Since there's no phone support for LC (at least not free), I came to this forum for help.
Here's the script object (JavaScript) that I inserted into the main subform:

This all works fine when I preview the form from within LC Designer ES4. I then open the dynamic PDF form in Acrobat XI Pro, click File, Save as Other..., Reader Extended PDF, then Enable More Tools.
Acrobat shows the errors at the top of this post within the Acrobat debugger window. When I close debugger, Acrobat does not allow me to save the new file, and gives this error:
This document could not be Reader enabled.
I've been searching for days and cannot find any resolution to this issue. It appears to me that this is a security related issue, and Acrobat does not like the running of a function within the form. Just a guess. I can't think of anything else.
Anyone come across this issue, and how were you able to fix it?

DeanAlthough I did not find a cause for the errors, I did find a workaround in my case.
This only happens when running the Javascript Debugger in Acrobat XI Pro. If you turn it off, you can Reader Extend the document. If you turn it on, you have to cycle through all of the debugger errors/warnings using the arrow button in the top left corner of the debugger window, then close that window. Still not sure what the errors are for, but at least I got the form to work. -
Having problems trying to make a DVD off a footage I shot....

I shot a footage of my cousin's baptism, now I am imported everything in Imovie HD, what it does on the right side it cuts all the clip so what I do is take all these clips put them in the timeline... now let's say I just want to burn it to DVD without doing any editing to it...
I'd click on File - share - DVD and it exports to Idvd? and from there I'd burn it - does it loose quality? all i have to do is press BURN?

joeyin iM's presets, you can select "import to clip pane" (to drag indivdual clips to the timeline) or "to timeline" (to get all in one rush, in chronical order into timeline, just do some trimming, titleing...)…
you can even import to iDVD itself…

Trying to make a DVD that will play in a stand-alone DVD player – I followed the advice in iMovie Help – but was stopped suddenly on finding that I do not have the relevant version of iDVD (which version (if any – I can’t see it anywhere!) was shipped with iMovie 4.0?). Is it possible to download a copy of iDVD 3 or later from anywhere compatible with OSX 10.3.2 and iMovie 4.0?
The iMovie Help has an additional option to ‘export your movie in a format appropriate for DVD authoring’ which has let me burn the movie as a (name).DV file – but this is not compatible with any DVD player I have tried. I noticed a while ago on this forum that someone was talking about Toast but I do not have this, but I do have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7, which was bundled with the burner – but is only compatible with a PC – would I be able to build a project in iMovie, transfer it to a PC, and use REMC7 to do what toast would?
Finally, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using Avid’s free DV software – and if they would recommend it (and also if I would be able to make DVDs with it?).

so i was like screw that. well they figured that i got a new phone replacing the LG shine. so they asked
for to call this number so they can recieve data which would updated the system that i have a plam treo 750.
ever since this conflict i can't send picture messages. i get that problem. everytime i attempt to send a picture
i recieve this.
- there is a problem connection to the GPRS service in your registered home network.

How do i deactivate a device through icloud if the device is broken and i am unable to turn on find my iphone? Also i do not own a apple id as ive been using a family members due to problems when trying to make one?

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to deactivate Find My iPhone on a device that does not work. You will need to work with the family member of the account the iPhone is registered with. I would recommend that you use this article to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Can you post the permissions on your Home folder?
Open Terminal, copy and paste this command. Copy the output and post here. If you want to mask out your user name, then paste the output into a text editor and use Find/Replace to change it to something like "username" before pasting it in here.

Trying to make my old 3G iphone an iPod for my 4 year old. I have found lots of ways to do so online. PROBLEM: It's been off for 2 years. When I charged it and turned it on it only flashes many different languages. Will only allow me to call emergency number. Any ideas how I can log on to it?
Im pretty sure what you are looking at is Set up Assistant where it shows different languages on the slider. If I am right then just slide to unlock and follow the prompts to choose your language, country etc.

Problems when trying to make pdf from ps using distiller
Hi,
I'm using Adobe Design Standard CS4 and I'm trying to make a PDF from Indesign, using Distiller. I made a ps and when I opened it in Distiller the pages were cut, as if the sizes were smaller than those set in Indesign. But I did modify in jobs the dimensions so that they would be the same as those from Indesign. I thought at first that maybe the ps was badly made, but when opened in Photoshop it displayed the same sizes as those in Indesign. Any suggestions?Bob's answer will certainly work, and those are usually fine settings, but you may want to know more about the what and why of export settings.
Conversion is handled in the dialog in the output panel under, of all places, the "Color Conversion" field. You have three choices: No conversion (self explanatory, and if you've got everything in the correct space to start with a good choice), and two flavors of "Convert to destination," Preserve Numbers and Preserve Appearance, which have subtle, but major, differences. The target profile is selected in the next field below.
In the case of either one, anything RGB will get converted to CMYK if you pick a CMYK target profile (and vice versa if you pick a RGB profile). The difference is in what happens to objects that are already using the color model, but not the specific profile, of the destination.
When you preserve numbers a CMYK object in ISO coated with values of 25,38,40,10 can be converted to SWOP with the same numbers. You can expect slight shifts in color appearance this way (of course, there are also MANY RGB colors that can't be reproduced using CMYK inks at all, so you'll pretty much always get some shifting in RGB to CMYK conversions).
When you preserve appearance the numbers used to represent the colors are altered so the output looks the same on both devices.
You might think this is superior, but there is a glitch. What happens to solid black (100% K only)? If you've set type in InDesign you probably colored it with the [Black] swatch. If you pick preserve numbers, you type stays 100% K and will continue to overprint, and your pressman will be happy. If you pick preserve appearance, one of two things will happen: If the document working profile is the same as the target profile, there will be no change and everyone is happy. If the profile is different, your simple black type will become a four-color mix that has the same visual appearance (when in perfect register) in the target space, and now it no longer overprints and is separated onto 4 plates, and your pressman is cursing you.
This will happen with anything that is just a single process ink, but generally speaking this isn't an issue for the other three colors if you are printing them anyway. It might be a problem for one-color hairlines or small type, though, so you should at least be aware of the potential.
So, the bottom line is you should assign the correct output profile as the CMYK working space in your document, if you know it in advance. If not, make your best guess and consider re-assigning the working space before exporting to PDF if you guess wrong. Any conversion from one profile to another is going to have some sort of consequences and it's up to you to choose the best answer based on the particular circumstances of your file.

As you see, it ends up saving a .txt document with the tags.
NOW... the issue is that the tags wont work anymore in the new system, and I need to wrap the paragraph in XML Tags. I tried to do something like for styles:
