Problems understanding plugins?

I'm new to this. I downloaded an aspect ratio converter plugin. It's from imovieplugins.com. I read in a discussion here that those dowloads are supposed to work in iMovie 6 and on the MacBook Pro. Mine does not work. Should everything sorta happen automatically, i.e. I download it, unstuff it, install it, then turn iMovie on and it's supposed to work? iMovie says there's, "a problem with the aspect ratio plugin." Am I missing a step and if so what? If this one just doesn't work, and someone knows of an aspect ratio converter plugin that does work, could they let me know please. Thanks.

How to Configure View State Validation
To run a scale-out deployment on an NLB cluster, you must configure view state validation so that users can view interactive HTML reports. You must do this for the report server and for Report Manager.
View state validation is controlled by the ASP.NET. By default, view state validation is enabled and uses the identity of the Web service to perform the validation. However, in an NLB cluster scenario, there are multiple service instances
and web service identities that run on different computers. Because the service identity varies for each node, you cannot rely on a single process identity to perform the validation.

I only use Chrome and Internet Explorer, I haveinstalled Safari and Firefox.
What to do?

Unfortunately Flash is installed in different ways on different browsers. I have the whole CS suite, so it might be possible there is no Flash player installer in the basic DW installation. What you need to do is as DW is telling you and download the Flash Player to install. IE uses ActiveX to install Flash and Chrome has it's own and Google updates the Flash player with its browser which may not directly correspond to the Adobe updates.
If you go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ in IE click on the "Different Operating System or Browser?" link at the top. Click on your operating system which I will assume is Windows because the Mac only has one installer and you don't strike me as a Linux or Solaris user. Then select "Flash Player 10.3 For Windows - Other Browsers". Run the installer and you will be good to go.

Problems understanding open text for access, please help

I'm experiencing some problems with this script, and I think knowing what the error is will help me a lot to understand better how applescript handles access to files.
When i launch this script it tells me somethihng like "document some object has not been opened" (could be slightly different in english).
So, i guess is a problem with openening and closing, but as you can see i open and close the doc, so I shouldn't encounter this problem. Do I?

Problems with plugins after upgrading to win8

Hi
I made the upgrade to Windows 8 and now several PS plugins causes Photoshop CS6 to "Stop Working And need to close". I have uninstalled
and reinstalled plugins and still the same problem. As this happens with different plugins from different vendors I am led to believe this is
not a 3rd party problem, but rather a problem with PS in win8. Happens with plugins from Niksoft and RedGiant. Needless to say I have
all the latest software and updates - legally purchased.
I haven't done much research into this, posting here is my first step after googeling didn't help. Is this a common problem? Does anyone
know a fix to this? It's of such importance that I am already considering reinstalling win7.

As an update on this,
After I installed the latest Windows Update system fix packages that were released today most of the plugins now work. I am not 100% sure I can credit MS with fixing this, as I fiddled with alot with my graphics card trying to make this work at the same time as I updated. I will have to do some more testing on this to able to say exactly what was the problem.
I'm installing win7+ps on a virtual machine so I can use that when absolutely needed for the plugins still not working - guess I can live with that until certain 3rd party vendors sort things out.
Allright Noel, I get your point - but you have to be downright difficult to be reading my initial question as if I was seeking support on 3rd party software as such.

Font embedding problem PPT plugin Acrobat 9 Pro

Hi,
having just updated to Acrobat 9 Pro I encounter a font embedding problem when using the PowerPoint plugin (PPT2007) to create a PDF of my presentation. I am working under Windows 7 (64Bit) and use fonts from Mathematica (Wolfram). The generated PDF shows problems displaying the fonts, indicating that they have not been embedded (although font embedding of these fonts is set in the options). The problem does not occur if I directly print to the PDF printer - here all Mathematica fonts are correctly embedded (but this has other disadvantages since videos/animations are not integrated). The problem seems to be specific to Acrobat 9 since under Acrobat 8 everything worked correctly as well.
Any ideas/solutions for that issue?

I am using this plugin:

Problems loading plugin on Austrian (German language) machines

I've just has a rather embarassing session of trying to show my site on PCs in Autria and I wondered if other people had had special problems with German language machines (other than trying to find the "Y"). We downloaded the JRE and netscape was amongst the browsers recognised at installation time yet, when we tried to run the applet it went it displayed the "Plugin required" image. My web pages uses the combination/selection of <embed and <object tags recomended by Sun.
We also tried Mozilla and IE. Mozilla just closed itself when displaying the page, IE displayed the applet area blank.
I run this applet page routinely at home on Netscape, IE and Mozilla without problems.
Even more embarassing one Austrial version of IE actually crashed apparently just trying to run my Javascript.
This creates something of a problem, I'm heading back to the UK tomorrow and if it's something to do with the Locale it's not going to be easy to sort out.

well afaik(and i am austrian) we dont hav our "own" version of nething.
i personally havnt seen any problems with the Y, only the special characters such as �,�,� and � might cause problems.
neither did i ever encounter problems with the JRE, which u mentioned.
this may be a problem of the Windows version u were running, like win98. i remember some problems in the past that sound like yours.

Little Problem understanding "extends"

I think I'll never understand how to use the extend-statement. First of all my code:

So I had a deeper look at java.awt.Desktop and found a "private constructor Desktop".
And now my question:
Why is it not possible to get a sub-class of a class with private constructor if the class itself
is public? In the tutorials I found that the sub-class will have all methods defined in the parent
class except the constructor. But if the sub-class will not get the constructor why is it a problem
if the constructor of the parent class is private?
Does anybody know how to explain that to me?

Problem in plugin oracle database in eclipse Galileo

I am new to Oracle and trying to plugin database in eclipse Galileo. I found the following tutorial

I have downloaded orcale 10g express edition and also installed eclipse Galileo. Opened Database Development perspective as said in tutorial and open new conection profile. Here is my problem
I can't find the orcale database connection as stated in tutorial Fig 3.
In tutorial, it says - If "Oracle Database Connection" is not listed, restart Eclipse with -clean command option. Provide a name for the connection and proceed to the next step.
How do i restart Eclipse with -clean command and what is -clean command.
Do I need to download any driver etc?

Una vez instalado el plugin jpg2000, tal como indican las instrucciones del mismo, procedo a realizar una prueba del funcionamiento y en el momento de guardar una foto en este formato photoshop se cierra inesperadamente.
¿Le ha pasado lo mismo a alguien? ¿Como puedo solucionarlo?
Me he puesto en contacto con el servicio tecnico y la solucion que me han dado no me funciona.
He desinstalado y vuelto a instalar el programa y posteriormente el plugin y sigue sin funcionar.
Version de Photoshop CS2.
Ordenador Imag G5 procesador a 2'00 Ghz. 1 Gb de memoria.

Si con los drivers correpondientes no te ha funcionado quizá deberias instalar el Thinkvantage System Update por si detectara algun nuevo controlador o software para este dispositivo.
De todas formas, normalmente sí funcionan los botones de volumen, lo que ocurre es que no se muestra en pantalla el cursor con el nivel de volumen creciente o decreciente.

Problem using plugins on Macbook Pro 2.33ghz

Hi there, I am having troubles using my virtual instruments in Logic Pro 7. Logic simply wont see them at all. I have had this problem since I transfered my work to my new Macbook Pro. Some people have said to get the binary updates for each plugin, but when I tried the binary update for Colossus it didnt make any difference. Logic still couldnt see the plugin. Has any one else had this problem? Maybe I need a VST to AU adapter or something? Any ideas or help would be much apreaciated, many thanks, Ben.
(PS - im using the latest version of Logic Pro 7.2.3)

did you rerun the AU plugin validation process? You only need the VST adaptor if the plugin is a VST. I would assume you would know if a plugin is AU or VST?
