Problems uninstalling the latest version of Quicktime Player
I use firefox browser and am running Windows XP Home on my PC. I installed the software on the firefox web site and it included Quick time and I tunes combined. When the Quick time program would open it would product no sound and I would see a large Q on the screen. So I attempted to uninstall both applications starting with Quick time first then Itunes. Now everytime I am online and go from one web page to another I get a system sound and a message that says "Quick time Unavailable" The quick time plug in requires the quick time system extension on version 5 or later. I cant use my system with this happening. I have made sure all shortcuts are gone and that the programs have been uninstalled. I even looked in Windows explorer to see if any portion of the program was left behind. I dont know how to remove what ever seems to be still there to correct this error from coming up at every turn. Can you please advise me as to what I can do about this.
If you are unable to view the videos using QuickTime X (version 10.0), go into your Utility Folder and try playing the videos on QuickTime 7 (version 7.6.6).

Latest version of QuickTime player?
Probably a silly question but what is the latest version of QuickTime Player. I have two versions on my Mac running 10.8.3. I created a movie in iMovie v9.0.8 and shared it as a QuickTime movie. Opened it in QuickTime player so I could export to the web. It ended up with a force quit after QT Player stopped responding. I used QT Player 10.2. I then discovered I had another version in the Utilities folder v7.6.6. This one worked. I have the Pro key.
I now see mention of a v7.7. Software update kicks me over to the Apps Store which doesn't seem to have QT Player.
I have Perian installed and my guess is that Persian needs/installed QT Player v10.2.
Which do I zip and delete? Thanks. DavidIt is strange. I thought 10.x might be the more recent but it also locked up when I tried to the web export. I ran into the no autoplay issue with the webpage so I'll need to look elsewhere to replace a Flash gallery... oh well. Looks like there are probably JS option that might work.

the latest version of this player is showing up, and is enabled on my computer but does not work: I cannot view any video or listen to radio except for youtube. When I try to uninstall it and to retry the download of the latest version the installation/uninstallation will not complete and I get a message saying that I need to close program "brccmctl" even though no programs are open, and I cannot find that program in search. So I am stuck, can anyone help please ?See How to close Internet Explorer and other programs running on Windows?

I installed the latest version of flash player and it said installed successfully and i can use it just fine, but when I checked system requirements it didnt seem to match. it needed 2.33 ghz and I have 2.13ghz. can this cause problems to my computer? i have an intel i3 proccessor, windows 7, internet explorer.

I have an iMac11.2 and am running Mac OS 10.6.8. I have not had a problem viewing videos until the past week or so. Now I cannot view videos on my news, facebook or in email messages at all. A message pops up in the window that says "Blocked plug-in". I have downloaded the latest version of Flash Player for which it asks and still no luck. Can anyone here help me with this? Thank you. I can see it on Windows Media? Need help on this.It says SEDG 720X480 2:1 Mono. Video came from Sd memory card taken with a Samsung Video Camera.
Strangely enough, as a FourCC, SEDG is defined as "MPEG-4 hardware and software codec used in Samsung digital video products." Not a Windows or Samsung camcorder user but THIS WEB PAGE may be of some assistance.
Also I will need to view a CD recorded by the same camera (DVD-RW) file extensions are VIDEO_RM.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, SAMSUNG.IFO So far these files don't open even with Windows Media.
I don't know what to do to be able to open up these files save them on my Hard drive and then be able to upload them to YouTube. Any Ideas?
IFO files tell how the video content is segmented and where the video data is located. BUP files contain back-up IFO information. VOB files contain actual multipled audio/video data. A DVD formatted to play in a commercial DVD player normally contains a series of files named "VTS##_#.VOB" where ## refers to the "title" series and "_#" (where # is not a zero) refers to the order in which the video title file data is played.
Again, I am neither a Windows user nor an athority on Samsung VIDEO_RM folder structures. However, if your disc contains both a VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS folder, then I would normally assume the VIDEO_RM folder is present for legacy purposes and/or to provide information about the refording device while the VIDEO_TS folder actually contains the video object (VOB) file data. In any case, as I am not familiar with what software is available for muxed MPEG-2/AC3 editing/conversion on a Windows platform, I would try viewing the VOB files in an application like MPEG Streamclip (free). If you can play the Audio and video content (be sure to read the MPEG Streamclip requirements regarding codec installation), then you can edit (merge and/or trim) the raw data and convert it to a format compatible for YouTube uploading. (I.e., MPEG Streamclip is commonly used on the Mac for this type of work flow and the app is also available for Windows use.) -
I have windows 8.1 and the latest version of flash player. I'm getting audio but no video (it just displays a green screen.) How do I get video?
Thanks but I found my problem. It was easy oncew I found out the flask player was also called shockwave. My shockwave add-on was disabled. I'm not certain what caused the condition. I was good one day and not getting the error messages the next day. But, I know what to look for in the future if it reoccurs. Thanks again.

I downloaded the latest version of flash player, not working?
I just got my computer back from being fixed and I'm redownloading everything I need.
I have a Mac OS X Version 10.7.5 and i downloaded the latest version of flash player for it. It appears to be installed because there's a window opens up saying "Thank you, enjoy flash player." or something like that after I have downloaded the flash player.
I've tried several times and I STILL can't watch videos or do things that require flash player.
I went to my system preferences, clicked on Flash Player and went to the advanced bar, and it says "Plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed."

And I click the "Check Now" button to see if flash player has been installed onto my computer, it says:
"Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled.
Please go to step 2."
And so I did and downloaded it AGAIN. I only saw the same thing after i reloaded the page and tried again.
I do not have an anti-virus program, so it can't be that.
Is the flash player enabled?
How do I check if it's enabled/enable it?It's usually in your browser's Tools section.

I've "successfully" installed the latest version of Flash Player, as recommended by Firefox. How do I find where it "lives" so that I'm certain it's in there. Also, do I put the App icon that appears on my desktop, in the trash now? I am on a Mac and I am not technically inclined.
