Problems Updating CS6 products on a Mac running 10.8.2
Is anyone else having problems updating their Adobe CS6 suite. When I go to Update, the Adobe Application Manager loads, goes through the process of downloading the Updates, takes ages (as they are large files) and then right at the end gives me an error message saying how the updates have failed.
I posted my original AE log in a thread I started, which remains unanswered, unless it has been in the last couple of hours.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled not only AE but my entire set of CS6 apps. I have run the 'cleaner' app, and with various cycles of uninstall, reinstall, update attempt, also used the downloadable installers for both the main AE 11.0.0 package and the downloaded update package for 11.0.2.
All fail.
The 'log analyzer' which is referred to in the 'error' logs, found in /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers as directed by the dialog from the App Manager, finds 'no error/problem'.
The packages that correctly install 'updates' are at the moment only Premiere Pro 6.0.0 to 6.0.2, and Audition 5.0.0 to 5.0.2.
Currently I just tried updating Speed Grade.. and after that log, is yesterday's failed AE update log.

Hi everybody
When im trying to update CS6 the application manager app don doit and give this message: "adobe application manager is already running, please close other instances before applying updates."
There is not other instances of the application manager running? how could this error be fixed?

Problems printing color on C4780 on Mac running 10.10.3 OS
I had a new C4780 sitting in our closet (unused since we got it free several years ago when buying an iMac) and just hooked it up to my Mac running 10.10.3. I am unable to print in color. It copies in color. When looking on System Preference/Printers and Scanners there are no options for color vs B&W. Similary, when viewing the Details in the dialogue box for printing there are no Color vs B&W options. Any clues?
Hi,Try resetting the printing system as following:*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets. Next update your system as following to ensure the latest drivers database persists:Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your Mac or to the same network.
Click the Apple icon, then select About This Mac.
Click on Software Update, then click the top Store menu of the shown window and click on Reload Page.
Be sure to install any available update. Using Cs6 Production Premium on Mac and 2 Computers

I own a Version of CS6 Production Premium for my Windows Pc.
My Pc is getting old and I would like to buy a Mac. Will it be possible to activate my version of CS6 Production Premium on my new Mac, if I deactivate my old Pc?
Maybe I will buy two Macs at the same time. Would it be possible to install CS6 on both?

JanYou need to obtain the Mac version in order to install and activate on a Mac (or two - yes you can install and activate on two machines). To do that you need to make a cross-platform swap, which Adobe allows for with the latest version of their products (CS6 at this time). Here is a link that explains what you need to do...

Problem updating Acrobat 8.0 on Mac
I have Acrobat 8.0 on mac running 10.6.7. When I try to update acrobat the updater says this
Also I tried to uninstall Acrobat and the uninstaller has an X on it and is not available.
This is all in an attempt to update Acrobat 8.0.0 to hopefully allow scanning with HP scanner.
I recently upgraded to 10.6..7 on the mac and now acrobat does not communicate with scanner.
Any help would be great.Have you tried following the path and deleting the offending file? Then Repair Permissions, restart your computer and try the update again.

Cannot scan with either HP 3010 or D110a products on my Mac running OS 10.9.4
Neither of the HP product that I own will scan any longer after upgrading to OS 10.9.4. 3010 drivers will not reload at all, and D110a has all available driver updates loaded on the Mac.

Manually updating CS6 Products
Is it possible to silently run adobePatchInstaller.exe?

Jcsipher11 can you please provide more information. What are you trying to accomplish exactly? Which CS6 software titles are you trying to manually update? -
When I try to update I keep getting the mesage "Updates could not be applied, you are already running the adobe application manager. Please close all instances of adobe application manager before applying updates. I have checked and it is not running but I still keep getting the message. Hopefully someone can help with this

Which OS are you using - Windows or Mac?
If on Windows - Please check the Task manager > Processes for any instances of AAM and 'End the Process'.
If on Mac - Please check the 'Activity Monitor' for related process and end it.
You may also want to reboot the machine and retry the update. -
For no apparent reason my Mac (2 GHz PowerPC G5) running 10.4.11 has put a mesh-like pattern over the folders on my desktop and also a band of the same pattern across the top of the screen and down the right-hand side over the dock. (See screen grabs below.)
It doesn't affect any operations but makes folder names and drop-down menus difficult to read through the pattern.
I'm not aware of changing any settings so suspect I must have clicked on something without noticing. How do I get rid of the overlaid pattern, please?Information about my computer is as follows:

Problems updating CS6 software: Premiere
Hi, I have a problem that can best be described by a screenshot:
I tried updating a second time and got the same error but only for Premiere since the other app was successfully updated. What I am not showing you is another portion of the screenshot which includes that during the installation there was an intrusion attempt by malicious attack. I'm not sure if this was part of the Adobe update or not but it happened both times that I tried this update.
Any help is greatly appreciated.What malicious attack? Port scans are annoying, but not malicious and in fact you may have prevented the installer from verifying package integrity. Provide the error log as the screen states and we'll see what can be done to remedy it...

entered the redemption code on adobe website, and then received the Serial Number for photoshop elements 11
then clicked on the download file, which sent me to Arvato link for zip file
downloaded the zip file, but it then will not open, so can't complete the download.
what hapened to buying software on Discs !!
i've now wasted 2 hours trying to sort this out, so would greatly appreciate some advice

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com -
