Problems uploading imovie to facebook and utube

Cannot upload from imovie to facebook or utube;\

There will be no difference in quality from the camera roll versus direct export from iMovie.
Either way it needs to render out to an HD H.264 file, and both are the same file.
If you export to camera roll first , then choose to send to You Tube direct from iMovie it will just send the same file it used to send to camera roll.
If you export to You Tube from iMovie, then send to camera roll it saves the video it encoded for You Tube to the camera roll.
What I am saying is that it is exactly the same video/render both times.
There is no special render quality for You Tube.
You Tube though will re-encode the video in a lossy format again, and lose quality.
Playing on You tube versus playing a file form the Camera roll will look different, with the Camera roll video being the better version; but you'd have to look very closely to spot it.
You do lose quality editing video, as it needs to be re-encoded and the i frames are re-sequenced in iMovie iOS.
But again the loss of quality is minimal and you have to really know what you're looking for to see it.

No, but you can save a photo on FaceBook.
Try downloading/saving the video from FaceBook on your computer. If successful, after doing so you can transfer the video to your iPhone along with any photos on your computer or alone. They transfer won't be in the Camera Roll, it will be in your iPhone's Photo Library.

  • Problems uploading photos to facebook on Ally

I have been having problems uploading photos from the gallery to facebook. I can upload them fine on twitter but not facebook any ideas... I have tried to reboot, turning off phone and removing battery, still won't upload to facebook.

Try to delete the Facebook application on your device then re-download the application. Once you've downloaded the application, then try to upload your pictures again.

  • Problem uploading video to facebook

Hello I am having a problem uploading a video to facebook.  It iwll only load 20% and then it fails.  However it takes a long time to fail and my phone is really hot during that time.  Is there a limit to how long the video can be?  This one is about 3 mins.  I am not sure why it will not upload.  Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Hello 42goldfish!  It’s cool to be able to upload pictures & videos to your Facebook page, right from your phone!  I would like to help.  First, thanks to tech_venturer for the great suggestion!  How did that work out for you?  If you’re still having problems, have you tried removing & reinserting the battery?  You can also try clearing the Facebook application Cache in the Settings menu:  http://bit.ly/ISd3cz  These instructions are for resetting an application, however instead of “Clear Data” try “Clear Cache” first.  Please let us know how this works out for you.  Thanks for being a part of Verizon Wireless!

  • I think I figured out the problem uploading iMovies to YouTube.

When using an iPhone, iPod, or iPad to record video, YouTube basically treats it like any mobile to social networking post--you hit share, choose YouTube, and that's it whether you're loading from the Camera Roll or iMovie.  But if you shoot with something other than a mobile device's camera and have difficulty uploading to YouTube it seems the problem isn't Apple, but rather a simple change you need to make to your YouTube account.
Simply: Add a Channel  That's it, the whole solution.
Now the only thing you need to be aware of is, despite the fact that your Apple device with Retina display can play video in greater than 1080p, YouTube doesn't recognize any mobile device's ability to do this.  So if you upload a video in 1080p, it will only be viewable via YouTube on a desktop computer.  720p however is just fine.
So if you shot your video in 1080p, but you want it to be viewable on mobile devices using YouTube, go into iMovie and upload the video in 720p.
That's it.  Please feel free to shoot down my theory and make your own suggestions.

    Hi,
I am trying to display an RSS feed on my website as well. I
    haven't figured it out.
    Can you help?

    Hi all
I have the app iMovie for MacBooks but when I try to upload a video onto Facebook sometime during the upload. The app quits unexpectedly.
I need help what am I supposed to do?

    Hey Jackinator,
It sounds like we may need to troubleshoot this error message, specific to iMovie. I found the following resource which may help lead to a resolution:

  • Problems Uploading With Muse FTP And Publishing.

    Hi
    Please help if you can.
I have finished creating my website and launched it onto Adobe businesscatlyst and it looks fine!
    http://magicorganic.businesscatalyst.com/
There is a major problem loading up to my web host. IPage.
Firstly i loaded it with the FTP feature in Muse and it stopped uploading at 61% and I got an error message concerning images.
I then exported the files to My Docs. ( And noted there is no Home Page mentioned just Index) here:
I then uploaded these manually to IPage: Here
and viewed my site www.magicorganic.co.uk and its all over the place. I then tried to upload again using FTP with the files already on the host and it loaded 91% before and error message. See here:
If anyone has any ideas of where to go with this please gt back to me.
    Many thanks

They did reset permisssions etc. But by then I had already loaded up every file manually. There was a problem as the CSS files went into the root folder so were not working properly, this is now fixed.
I want to make a few adjustments to the website copy. I have already done this on businesscatalyst, which was painless.
To ensure that copy changes take place do i simply upload with the FTP, as I know the host system will overwrite existing files or is it more complicated? And do I upload all files or selected files?
    Please advise
    Many thanks
    James

  • I am having problems uploading photos to facebook, tumblr, etc.

when i go to upload the photos, certain photos are not able to be uploaded.  it says that they are not the correct format.  i played around a little bit on iPhoto to see if i could locate the problem, and i found a little bit of information.  i figured this out after clicking the "show photo information" button for the problem photos.  when i "revert to original," the photo is shown to have a size (2.7 MB, for example) but as soon as i edit the photo in any way (enhance, crop, rotate, effects, ANYTHING) the size of the photo changes to a dash.  at this point, the photo cannot be uploaded.  what is going on? another user posted a similar questions earlier, and restarting the computer and iphoto worked for that user.  i have tried this, however, with no results. PLEASE help, i am in mexico, publishing a travel blog, so being unable to upload photos is a huge hassle for me.

What happens when you export one of these problem photos?
What happens when you select the photo and right click and show file (original file too if available)

  • Internet Problems, spec. with Gmail, Facebook, and App Store

My iPod Touch has been having Internet issues for the past few months, and it's become impossible to retrieve e-mails from my gmail inbox. Applications such as Facebook, as well as the App Store downloads themselves have also become very slow to load, and I'm not sure what the problem is.
In the past my gmail would go through periods where it would not retrieve e-mails, but it would eventually start working again...however, it's been a while now and things still aren't working.
I don't believe it's my network either, because regardless of where I'm on wifi, the e-mails won't be retrieved.
Any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Thanks for any help.

  • Facebook Problems - Uploading in iPhoto '09

I'm having a problem. When I try to upload photos to Facebook I get the "Set Up" window. I log in to my account and once it is on it tells me to close the window and go back to the application, but then it will ask me again to "Set Up" the account. It will continue doing this forever. Any thoughts?

I was having the same problems. I think it is a problem with the way Facebook blocks applications.
I solved the problem by clicking on the iPhoto Uploader hyperlink in the uploader box, telling Facebook to Block the iPhoto Uploader application. I then went back to iPhoto and attempted to upload a photo. After the login screen all I got was a screen that said close. I did this, then went back to the iPhoto Uploader option in Facebook and told it to Allow the application. Then when I selected pictures in iPhoto and clicked on the Facebook button, I logged in as before and was presented with the option to publish the picture.
Now everything works .... my guess is that facebook was rejecting the request from iPhoto to publish, but fails to show an error message. The solution is to disallow then allow the iPhoto Application from Facebook (using the hyperlink in the iPhoto Uploader login box.)

  • Problem with iOS 8 uploading photos to Facebook

WWith iOS 7 no problem uploading pictures to facebook...iOS 8 won't do it...what's the fix for my iPad air?

Which app are you using for uploading to Facebook?
If you do not use  the built-in sharing button in the Photos.app, add the photos you want to share to an album. Older apps may need updating, or will only be able to access photos in the "Recently added" album.

  • Photo upload issue with Facebook

Am having a problem uploading photos to FaceBook via Lightroom's publish interface. It shows as authorized (which was a problem in itself for a while), but I get a generic "Photo Upload Failed" error from LR4. In addition, JPEGs exported from LR4 will not upload via FaceBook's own interface. This is all new since upgrading to LR4. Windows 7. While it looks like a FaceBook issue, it started with LR4 installation and no one else seems to be having a problem uploading images to FB via Lightroom or otherwise.

Day 3 of this issue and still no repsonse from Blackberry. I guess we found out who Blackberry really cares about. March 2013 - you will be losing me as a Blackberry user.

  • Has anyone else had issues uploading photos to facebook?

My IPhone 5, which was set up as brand new phone (not from a backup) won't upload my photos to facebook. The internet connection is worse than it was in the exact same places with my Iphone 4! Is anyone else having this problem?
I can hardly ever upload anything to facebook, and tonight after not being able to do it at my friend's house, I'm sitting at home with all my bars and it's still saying it failed to upload???!!!
Come on Apple, get with it. What good are built in icons for twitter and facebook of they —along with the apps on our phones don't work. I can't believe I'm missing aspects of my old Iphone 4

Thank you for the suggestion. I followed it and had the exact same problem again sitting here in my office where all my bars are full. Plus it's usually the fastest early in the morning. Instead it takes forever for the loading bar to show the photo being uploaded until finally it says upload failed.
This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. All my friends have IPhones on the same carrier as I do, yet I was the only one who couldn't do anything on facebook or upload the photos we were taking —let's just say nobody was sorry that they hadn't purchased this new phone yet.
Now I'm off to the Apple store for a diagnostic to see if I got a particularly buggy phone.
Thank you again for the suggestion though. I was really hoping it would work : (
