Problems uploading text into infoobject

Hi everybody.
I tried to upload information about TEXTS to an infoobject. Is the exercise of BW310 training course (7.0 version).
I've created an infopackage that retrieves the data from R3 backend. My problem is that i always get a yellow 'traffic light' in monitor. I know data is in the texts table because i check PSA and is there.
This is what i get in STATUS strip :
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.
Kinds regards,
Inigo.

Hi Inigo,
Since U r loading data for Texts for an infoobject, try and check the Transformations for that specific infoobject. Check whether they are maintained properly or not. If Yes, then go to the Monitor screen, and click on the Job Overview button on the Top right. There select TRFC Overview in source system, once you get into TRFC Overview Screen, check whether there are some TRFC struck ( i.e., TRFC's with status Transaction Recorded ), if there are some of them, then select them 1 at a time and press F6 ( this will move the struck TRFC from Source System to BI).
     If no TRFC struck was there, then wait for some more time, your load should get completed by itself.
Hope this should help.
Regards,
Syed

  • Problem with Texts in infoObject

    Hi guys,
    I have a infoObject with texts in two languages. If I sign into the system in EN language all texts are shown in EN. The same situation is with german language. Everything works fine. Now I have a new requirements where  the users want to see this information in both languages one after the other. Is that possible? Do you know maybe some solution to deal with this problem?
    Regards
    Erwin

    Hello,
    Are you talking about the texts contained in the infoobject for data, then check the foll:
    1) If your text is language dependent in the infoobject
    2) Then in the report level select both the languages and u have both the desc.
    But if you are talking about the description of the infoobject, then i believe its not possible.
    It will display the information with the language u sign in.

  • How to load master data with text into infoObject in BI 7.0

    Hi all;

    How do I load this mater data into this 0employee object,
    Please help.
    I did look for something similar in the forum and there are many of them, but I couldn't find anything that for BI 7.0 and really clear help for me. Sorry to ask a question that been asked before.

    hi rainnie,
    check this link t oload master data in BI 7
    Re: BI 7.0 flat File extraction
    as you are using SAP defined infoobject you can start from the creation of datasource.
    text format for the flat file is
    LANGUAGE,INFOOBJECT,TEXT
    EN,0EMPLOYEE,RAINNIE
    You have to create ,infopakage, transformation ,dtp for both the attribute and text.
    hope this helps
    cheers

  • Problem copying text into InDesign

    First, let me start by apologizing for my complete lack of knowledge about anything InDesign.  I am supporting users that use InDesign, not a user myself.
    One of my users came to me with a problem that his team is having.  They are coping text out of different files (Docs, Quark, PDFs, etc.) and pasting into InDesign.  The text that they are coping is in different languages(Russian, Spanish, German, etc.)  When they create a new InDesign file, they will successfully copy text from the first file into the InDesign file.  But when they try to copy text from a different file (same language, and even same file type), the font will become garbled.  I have attached a screenshot of this issue.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I can not find anything about this on Google or with these forums(probably don't know what to search for).

    John,
    Thanks for trying to help on this.  We had to break down and call Adobe support for a resolution as it was causing a work stoppage.
    We were able to solve this problem by contacting Adobe support.  The problem was a 3rd party font that was in some of the documents.  InDesign did not know how to translate this font into a standard windows font.  As long as the original documents were in a standard Windows font, they could be changed to other Windows fonts.  But if the document was in the 3rd party font, then it would be unable to change once it was in InDesign.  And if the text was copied into the InDesign document with a standard Windows font, then you would be unable to change it to the 3rd party language font.
    Thanks again John for trying to assist with this.

  • Problem uploading content into repository over WebDAV

    Hi,
    Sorry if the questions is responsed yet, but I haven't found it.
    I am a new user in Oracle and Oracle XML DB. I have installed Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1. The dabase was created through the wizard and I have enabled 2100 and 8080 ports to work with FTP, HTTP and WebDAV. I have also created a new USER called DAVID with DBA permissions.
    With this user I can upload 'not xml-content based' resource over FTP with different sizes but when I try to upload it over WebDAV I receive a message windows error and the resource is partially uploaded always with less than 500 bytes.
    For example, I have upload a chm file with 19Mb. over FTP but I can't do the same over WebDAV.
    What is the problem???? What I can do???
    Thanks in advance,
    David

    OK!, I can't created a bigfile tablespace, I specified only 1024Mb. but oracle tries to create a tablespace with 192Gb.
    Finally, I have created a normal tablespace (initial size 500Mb), I have opened 2100 and 8080 ports to operate with FTP, WebDAV and HTTP.
    Transfer over FTP works well but WebDAV continues with problem.
    I have read the Bug 3703236 posted by mdrake, but I don't found any comment that helps me to solve the error.
    As it say if I rename any file to xml, I can uploading to the repository over WebDAV without problem, but this file can't be renamed. For instance, in repository file system, rename msmsgs.xml to msmsgs.exe returns an error.
    Also I have opened a TAR.
    Any Idea?.
    Thanks in advance,
    David.

  • Problem passing texts into sap-script

    Dear Experts,
    I have a requirement, where I have to pass some text-lines from my selection-screen of the driver-program to the sap-script,i.e. whatever I write in those text fields that should be displayed(printed) on the specified place of my script. Another specification is  that,
    those lines will get printed only if the checkbox on my selection-screen is checked.
    What should be the procedure,please help me.

    The text lines on the selection screen will be in a variable. Pass the variable to the SAPScript. I don't see the problem.

  • Problems with special characters uploading data into oracle database

    Greetings
    I have a problem uploading data into oracle tables from sybase datasource. The data that I want to upload is in Spanish, for example when I have a varchar field with the data 'Consultoría', in oracle table the data upload with interrogation symbols.
    I have my source and target datastores configured as follows.
    Any suggestion? Thank you for your time

    Chack section 10 Locales and Multi-byte Functionality in the SAP Data Services Reference Guide for an exhaustive description of NLS settings.
    As a summary, following settings are required:
    locales in the datastore definitions match the actual locale used in the associated databases
    the locale of the DS engine allows for source to target translation
    the character set in the target database supports storage of accented characters

  • Problems while uploading text documents into Unicode Database

    I just upgraded our database from 9iR1 to 9iR2 (9.2.0.1.0). The server
    character set is AL32UTF8. Now I'm facing a problem when
    uploading text documents into the database via a web frontend.
    I use the upload table defined for the PL/SQL Database Access Descriptor:
    create table TB_UPLOAD (
    NAME VARCHAR2(256) not null,
    MIME_TYPE VARCHAR2(128),
    DOC_SIZE NUMBER,
    DAD_CHARSET VARCHAR2(128),
    LAST_UPDATED DATE,
    CONTENT_TYPE VARCHAR2(128),
    BLOB_CONTENT BLOB);
    After uploading a text document containing the two words "hallo welt",
    the following statement returns not "hallo welt", but "68616C6C6F2077656C74":
    declare
    b_loc blob;
    v_amount integer := 100;
    v_buffer varchar2(100);
    v_offset integer := 1;
    begin
    select blob_content into b_loc from tb_upload where name like 'mydoc.txt';
    dbms_lob.read(b_loc, v_amount, v_offset, v_buffer);
    htp.prn(v_buffer);
    end;
    What is this? I studied the documentation, but didn't found a solution.
    When trying to use Oracle's built-in procedure wpg_docload.download_file,
    the content is shown the way it should be. Unfortunately, I can't use
    wpg_docload.download_file in order to copy the BLOB content to another table.
    Any hints would be appreciated!
    Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi Roman,
    the upload uses a BLOB (Binary Lob). Your Document is
    stored as is in the binary representation. If you
    use dbms_lob.read on a blob and your buffer is a varchar2 the binary representation is not translated!!!
    use a raw for the buffer and utl_raw.cast_to_varchar2
    to do the conversion to varchar.
    try this
    Procedure SHOW_DOC(p_name doc_test.name%TYPE)
    IS
    v_len number;
    v_mime_type tb_upload.mime_type%TYPE;
    v_offset integer := 1;
    v_Buf_size integer := 32767;
    v_buf raw(32767);

  • Problem in Uploading TEXT field for PR

    Hi all,
    I am using FM 'GUI_UPLOAD ' for uploading text file .
    There are three coloumns in my text file ie(PR number, item and TEXT id (long text) seperated by TAB
    As there are long text in the last coloumn and in between there are tab space i was unable to get the entire text
    To over come that problem , i have used multiple coloumn in the internal table of input table so that even if there are tab space
    i can store it in the other coloumn .
    But the problem is when im using FM"BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE" and passing the table by breaking into 132 charactes
    in requisition_item_text im completely , getting different format.
    I mean the format of the uploaded text is completely messed up.:(
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Chandan

    HIII Chandan,
    When we use GUI_UPLOAD function module
    Call function GUI_UPLOAD
        Exporting
                 Filenmae = "the one which we are passing on to selection screen" should be of type File name
                                     i.e IBIPPARMS-PATH.
                                     It is of type char and size 128
    So i think this is the reason u r unable to transport the data

  • Uploading my site to Adobe Business Catalyst and I noticed that it turns all my text into images? Why does it do that and is there a way to prevent it from happening?

    I don't mind that Muse does this upon uploading my website, but once my text becomes an image on my site, it creates a light halo around my text making it fuzzy. Is there a way to prevent Muse from changing my text into images?

    Hello,
    I believe you are using System fonts for the text in the site. I would suggest you to use either Web safe fonts or use self hosted font options.
    Please refer to the links below to understand how to work with them.

  • Problem inserting text with special Hungarian characters into MySQL database

    When I insert text into my MySQL db the special Hungarian
    characters (ő,ű) they change into "?".
    When I check the
    <cfoutput>#FORM.special_character#</cfoutput> it gives
    me the correct text, things go wrong just when writing it into the
    db. My hosting provider said the following: "please try to
    evidently specify "latin2" charset with "latin2_hungarian_ci"
    collation when performing any operations with tables. It is
    supported by the server but not used by default." At my former
    hosting provider I had no such problem. Anyway how could I do what
    my hosting provider has suggested. I read a PHP related article
    that said use "SET NAMES latin2". How could I do such thing in
    ColdFusion? Any suggestion? Besides I've tried to use UTF8 and
    Latin2 character encoding both on my pages and in the db but with
    not much success.
    I've also read a French language message here in this forum
    that suggested to use:
    <cfscript>
    setEncoding("form", "utf-8");
    setEncoding("url", "utf-8");
    </cfscript>
    <cfcontent type="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    I' ve changed the utf-8 to latin2 and even to iso-8859-2 but
    didn't help.
    Thanks, Aron

    I read that it would be the most straightforward way to do
    everything in UTF-8 because it handles well special characters so
    I've tried to set up a simple testing environment. Besides I use CF
    MX7 and my hosting provider creates the dsn for me so I think the
    db driver is JDBC but not sure.
    1.) In Dreamweaver I created a page with UTF-8 encoding set
    the Unicode Normalization Form to "C" and checked the include
    unicode signature (BOM) checkbox. This created a page with the meta
    tag: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
    charset=utf-8" />. I've checked the HTTP header with an online
    utility at delorie.com and it gave me the following info:
    HTTP/1.1, Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8, Server:
    Microsoft-IIS/6.0
    2.) Then I put the following codes into the top of my page
    before everything:
    <cfprocessingdirective pageEncoding = "utf-8">
    <cfset setEncoding("URL", "utf-8")>
    <cfset setEncoding("FORM", "utf-8")>
    <cfcontent type="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    3.) I wrote some special Hungarian chars
    (<p>őű</p>) into the page and they displayed
    well all the time.
    4.) I've created a simple MySQL db (MySQL Community Edition
    5.0.27-community-nt) on my shared hosting server with phpMyAdmin
    with default charset of UTF-8 and choosing utf8_hungarian_ci as
    default collation. Then I creted a MyISAM table and the collation
    was automatically applied to my varchar field into wich I stored
    data with special chars. I've checked the properties of the MySQL
    server in MySQL-Front prog and found the following settings under
    the Variables tab: character_set_client: utf8,
    character_set_connection: utf8, character_set_database: latin1,
    character_set_results: utf8, character_set_server: latin1,
    character_set_system: utf8, collation_connection: utf8_general_ci,
    collation_database: latin1_swedish_ci, collation_server:
    latin1_swedish_ci.
    5.) I wrote a simple insert form into my page and tried it
    using both the content of the form field and a hardcoded string
    value and even tried to read back the value of the
    #FORM.special_char# variable. In each cases the special Hungarian
    chars changed to "q" or "p" letters.
    Can anybody see something wrong in the above mentioned or
    have an idea to test something else?
    I am thinking about to try this same page against a db on my
    other hosting providers MySQL server.
    Here is the to the form:

    Upload at my office worked without any problem. One problem solved, now i am aware with a lot of discussions with my providers helpdesk  ;-)

  • Cant insert Text into a TextBox. (Confusing Problem, CS6)

    Hello forum members!
    Just got the trial today and I am trying to insert text into a document. I press "T" and drag a box for a textbox. I then double-click inside that box to type something, and whatever I type absolutely NOTHING appears. It just blinks and nothing is actually typed inside the box.
    This is really frustrating. I have only just started and have one document that is fresh, so my question is what is the problem here?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shane Stocks

    Could you elaborate on that a little? I have taken a screenshot of my screen to show you how everything is. I have not touched any settings and have literally downloaded the trial about an hour ago.
    I do this. Click on the T, drag a box, then start typing. When I type, the icon does not move, and for some reason it seems what I am typing renames the layer tab. Please view the image, everything is there.
    Thanks again,
    P.S. The text-box does dissapear when the icon changes into a text icon, and the image above is me typing random things. Nothing appears.
