Problems uploading video to YouTube

1. Can I not upload my long video onto YouTube through my Adobe Premier Elements 11 Publish option? (I am getting a duration error message). I am able to take the computer viewing option and then upload to YouTube from their site.
2. I am getting a thick black bar border around my video when viewing on YouTube. How do I get rid of that?

I am not seeing any way for the black borders have anything to do with the duration of the file.
The black borders have to do with the properties of your Premiere Elements and how
YouTube is converting it once the video file is upload to there. Keep in mind, that YouTube uses a 16:9 player.

Did you have a chance to read the content of that link?
So, let us go over the details which should help us offer an explanation for your black borders at the YouTube web site viewing....
1. What is the project preset for the Premiere Elements project? If you do not know, please tell us the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if they look grayed out) under Edit Menu/Preferences/General?
2. When you export your Timeline content, are you using for the export Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD with Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30 or something else.
If you started with 1920 x 1080 16:9 project and files, exported with 1920 x 1080 16:9 export settings, then the file taken to YouTube will be 16:9. No black borders. If you upload a 4:3 file, the YouTube document will show you what you are up against with its 16:9 player.
Please review and consider. If you need clarification, please let us know.
Thank you.

  • What's the process of uploading videos to youtube?

This might sound like a silly question... but what is the process of uploading videos to youtube?
Does the video get processed into youtube friendly format and then get uploaded to youtube?
So therefore, no re-processing is required on youtube? And therefore the video appears intantly after upload
This has been what I have experienced
Or does the video still need to be processed by youtube as well?
If the above is true... then I think the best way to do the work is to process the video on my laptop and output in best format
And ONLY then upload to youtube
From experience, I've found this takes time for the video to be processed and then published on youtube
Problem: I've had about 40 videos, all of about 1 minute 30 seconds uploading from FCPX
I left overnight. he queue is STILL processing
I'd rather have youtube process and use up their CPU power!
Any feedback to the above would be great
    Thanks
    Omar

Encode before you upload use the share function or better with Compressor (export master file anad let Compressor encode with youtube preset and upload that file via Safari or the Uploader

It is almost an hour it seems rather slow but not unusual and they were encoded before upload ?

  • Problem sharing video to YouTube from Elements 10

I am getting an error when trying to share a video to YouTube. I am using Elements 10 on a PC running Win 7, 32-bit. I have previously shared this video (back in April 2013) but have made some edits and now am unable to share it again. The error is "online services encountered an error the service will now be terminated or paused if possible." I am wondering if this has something to do with not being logged in to photoshop.com (which I realize is no longer active). The problem is I am also not able to choose "export" from the file menu (it is grayed out), so I am not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?

Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 32 bit.
Before all else, what video card/graphics card does your computer use. If a NVIDIA GeForce card, then please stop and let us know immediately.
The problem is I am also not able to choose "export" from the file menu (it is grayed out), so I am not sure how to proceed.
After Premiere Elements 7, the File Menu/Export/Movie option was discontinued. In the versions afterward, export was from the area named Share (before version 11) or Publish+Share (versions 11 and 12). The File Menu/Export after version 7 is for export of Title created in Titler only. And, for it to be active you need to highlight the title file in media.
Just ignore or cancel out of any photoshop.com messages, and you will be OK.
Can you upload video to YouTube from your computer hard drive to YouTube web site, thus taking Premiere Elements out of the equation? This way we know if your YouTube account is OK.
Did you refresh Online Services in preferences? Are you having any problems with your Internet Connection?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket.  FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423.  They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook.  Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of so

I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket.  FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423.  They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook.  Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of something like .mov or mp4.  How can I change the extension after the fact and avoid it in the future?

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

  • What is the simplest way to make and upload video to YouTube?

I’m a video novice trying to figure this out. We want to start making short customer testimonial videos and upload them to YouTube as part of a social media marketing campaign. I want to come up with a solution that is fast and easy, takes as little time as possible. On the recommendation of an associate I bought a Flip Video camera and that worked beautifully except for one problem, the audio volume of the recordings was ridiculously low. So am returning that.
We have a Panasonic PV-GS65 and I can use that, but the only way I've figured out how to make a video there and get it onto my computer is to connect it to iMovie, let it play/load into iMovie, then from there I don’t know how to get it uploaded to YouTube but I'm guessing I have to do some formatting/compressing, then manually upload, and that is all way more hassle than I'm looking for.
I LOVED the simplicity of the Flip Video approach. Shoot it, the camera directly in, select the video, push the upload button and it was done. If the audio quality was better I'd use that for sure.
Any suggestions? If there’s something similar to Flip Video that I can buy cheap and use, I'll do it. If there’s an easy way to use our current camcorder, that’s fine too. But I can’t be messing around for 10-15 minutes trying to import, format and then upload this stuff. I have a business to run.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

that will work if necessary, but it still more steps and more time consuming than my ideal solution.
Would love to find something that makes the process as simple as Flip Video does.
Man, if their microphone was just a bit more sensitive, that solution would’ve been perfect.

  • Unable to upload video to YouTube

I have tried twice to upload a video to YouTube.  It is a short video, 7 min 33 sec.  I get the error, "Failed (unable to convert video file)".  I recently upgraded to Mavericks & iMovie 11 and this is the first time trying to upload since the upgrade.  Any suggestons?

Although I believe you when you say it worked after removing tags, I don't think there is a solid cause and effect.  The web is loaded with complaints of the iMovie to YouTube upload.  It is simply NOT stable.  I used iMovie '11 with Mountain Lion and now use the new iMovie 10 with Mavericks.  Yes, I said iMovie 10. Apple named it that way.  Not me.  The iMovie to YouTube upload option is unreliable.  We all want to try to narrow it down to a font or a clip or a photo or a title or the duration or the HD resolution etc...  In fact, we are wasting our time until Apple works out these issues.  I made 20 upload atttempts today. All using an approx 4 minute clip.  Trust me. I got "Failed (unable to convert video file)" several times and each time worked to focus on the problem.  Nothing was logical.  I would add a single photo to a project that had previously worked and it would bomb.  I would then delete that photo and it would still fail.

  • Uploading videos to YOUTUBE doesn't work anymore

HI I upgraded my flash player to the latest adobe flash for
    windows xp,
and now I can't upload any videos to youtube.. It used to
    work, until now.

When you upload the site is has nothing to do with iWeb and people who work for the hosting companies and say that iWeb is the problem or is rubbish do not have a clue what they are talking about.  They use it as an excuse because they don't understand what they are doing.
What folder do you have to upload your site to on the server?  Is it called "public_html", or "htdocs" or something like this?  If so, then in the directory/path, where some can leave it blank, you can enter public_html or htdocs or whatever file you upload to on your server.  This should then work.
Your other option of course, is not to use the iWeb built in ftp, but to select publish to a local folder and then download Cyberduck - a dedicated ftp programme and use this to upload your site.  If you use Cyberduck, then you can connect directly with your server and you can see exactly where all your site files are being uploaded to and exactly what folder on your server you have to upload to.  If you use iWeb ftp, then you are working blind really and just hoping for the best.
Either try inserting the name of your folder in the directory/path section or publishing to a local folder and using Cyberduck to upload instead.

  • How do I upload videos to Youtube from my iMac?  The videos were taken on my Iphone.

I need to make some videos I took available to an online class.  The videos were taken on my Iphone and uploaded onto my Imac, and I want to either upload them to Youtube or Vimeo.  Youtube says that I am using an unsupported file.  {IMG.}  Can anyone explain to me how to convert them so that they're uploadable?  Thanks so much!

  • Problem: Uploading Video To iPod

Ok here's the issue. 8 times out of 10 when I connect my iPod via USB, it does not give me the option to upload video to my iPod. I would click on the "iPod Options" where you can select Automatically update this and that... and I only see four standard options (Music PodCast Contacts Notes). 2 out of 10 times, it would give me the other options (Photos Videos) and then I can upload videos no problem. But the majority of time, it does not give me this option. I have to continue to remove the iPod from the USB repeatedly until I luckily happen to land on a time when it will allow me to upload video.
And when, during that 8 out of 10 times when I don't get the option to upload video, it removes all video from the iPod so I can no longer view them! How can I get this thing consistant!
Why is this happening? How can I get this thing to be consistant in allowing me to upload videos?

    hiya!
... okay ... this might be a symptom of a USB connection issue. if your USB connection is flaky to precisely the right degree, itunes can sometimes actually see a video ipod (or a nano) ... but it misidentifies it as an earlier version of ipod (without some of the capabilities of the nano, or the video ipod). sometimes, for example, this can cause the photo tab to go missing in the ipod preferences in itunes.
does the ipod icon in the itunes sourcelist look any different during the times you do get video capability from the times when you don't? if so, you might have one of these weird misidentification issues.
if so, some of the general ipod/USB-troubleshooting techniques might be useful:
