Problems using ananmorphic video

Hey,
I am using FCE HD 2. I have the data as anamorphic. THe menu shows the clips and subclips are anamorphic. Looking at them in the viewer they are anamorphic. When I drag them to the time line they switch to 4:3. Looking at them in the canvas they are 4:3. Selecting the original from the browser they are anamorphic selected from the time line they are 4:3. I had been exporting the data into QT movies but they are showing up as mixed, as they show in the time line. I noticed that this happens more when I use transitions but it stays that way even with out them or newly added sublips to the time line. What is going on? How can I keep everything as anamorphic? Why are the subclips switching over to 4:3 when they say and should be anamorphic?

Did you select and anamorphic Easy Setup BEFORE you started your Project?

Problem using Yahoo Video Playlists after upgrading Firefox

I have Created Yahoo playlists in the past and after upgrading my Firefox they no longer work. meaning when i click on a playlist everything loads properly except the video itself and I can't play any of the other videos in the playlist either. Also i can't add new songs to those playlists or rate those videos either.

This is not a Firefox issue, you could try downgrading to version 18 or 17 but Yahoo needs to update their toolbar and they haven't been doing anything to solve issues regarding them except by laying the blame on us.

Problem Using Ipod Video....help please!!!!

I just got a new ipod video because of hardware issues with my previous one. Now when I connect my ipod to the computer it always says found new hardware and then it says ipod sync is complete and it automatically disconnects my ipod, so now i cant add any of my music to my ipod. can someone help me pleae????

From your symptoms, it sounds like there's possibly drive letter confusion going on here.
Try assigning your iPod a different drive letter, by following the instructions from this article:
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive
After you've changed the drive letter, is there any change in the way your iPod is recognized by Windows, and syncing with iTunes?

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

Hi! I´m having problems with showing video files in Qlab on my Macbook Air. It started suddenly. Consulted a sound/video technician who told me to "blow out" my Mac. Was told to use cmd+r when restarting. Is this the right way to clean up my Mac? And is it likely that some kind of bug is causing problems for Qlab to show video files? I´ve already tried with a bunch of different video files and sometimes Qlab plays them and sometimes not. I need the Qlab playlist for a theatre show and only have a week until showtime so starting to really worry. Is there anyone out there who can help?

Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you.
Command + R gives you access to restore, repair, or reformat the drive using OS X Recovery
No idea why that was suggested.
You may have a third party video player installed that's causing an incompatibility issue.

The first four locations listed are in the root-level Library on your hard disk, not the user-level Library in your Home folder.The tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
To access the Home folder in OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and chooseGo > Library.

Problem Using Adobe Sample Video Player

I've placed some of my videos flv and f4v in the vod/media and webroot/vod folders with sample files provided. My files were checked with flvcheck and passed. When I load the embed code into a Dreamweaver HTML file and save the page to the webroot folder as instructed, the provided sample files play in my Firefox browser. However, when I edit the code to insert my files in strict accordance with the instructions concerning codecID and extension, I get the following message on the Browser "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested." What's the problem? My videos are less than 30 minutes in length and were encoded H.264 using Adobe Media Encoder and as I said passed the flvcheck.
I plan to subscribe to Adobe FMS on Amazon Web Services, but I'm not going to commit until I get some answers to the problems I've encountered. Thanks.

look people, i may have a solution for this. This happened to me a few times before and resolved alone, but last time it happened was when i turned off my router and back on while my comp was running and appeared when i tried opening firefox after that. so wat i did was i shutdown the computer and the router and tried turning both on again, and it resolved.
Therefore, Summary: Shutdown computer then turnoff router then turn both back on

Your wifi problem sounds very much like the problem I had. The wifi would drop out, the icon showed it was still connected. If I turned it off, I couldn't turn it back on. Another user here pointed me to the problem, which was the wifi cable (the flat cable goint from the card to the motherboard). I found it on ebay for $13 and it's been running fine since I replaced it. This is the repair guide for your machine. The part number will be on there if you click the link.

N95 8GB: Problem on deleting video file

Hi,
Is there any body experienced this problem. When I'm trying to delete a file from Video Centre > My videos directory, I'm receiving this error... "Unable to delete. File video.mp4 is open."
Do you have resolution for this? Tnx in advance.

Actually the video file was not there anymore in my File Mgr folder but the problem is the video file is still there in Video centre > My videos folder. When I tried to delete the file using "c" or Options > delete, the error says "Unable to delete. File video.mp4 is open."
I also tried to reset the phone to its factory settings but still video file was there.
I think this is a bug. Pls advice. Tnx in advance.

Problem with Flash video/dropdowns in Mozilla

Am trying to add a flash video to a webpage using a
Dreamweaver extension called Active Slideshow Pro by DMXZone.
The page can be viewed: www.faith.org.uk/Testindex.html
In IE7 it works fine. The video shows and the dropdowns of
the menu work correctly.
In Mozilla Firefox the video works but the dropdowns do not
show.
If I remove the block of coding which is generated by the

I would be most grateful for anyone's advice on this.

A discussion with Adobe support lends the idea that MPEG
layer 4 might be an issue. That since these videos come from DVD
perhaps encoded with MPEG layer 4 that that could be the reason tha
all of them have this problem. (Some were done using AVI - I have
to check and see if that makes a difference)

Flash should be able to convert an MPEG4 file. (Well it does
but they all stop after 30 sec.) Now how do I solve this problem?

Using a video file in Flex ?

I've been trying to use one video file in my flex project but the problem here is that after giving the source location it's not showing anything except a black pane and the format of the video file is in .AVI.I'm using VideoDisplay class to show the video.
Any help on this guys...

Just check it with the .flv files. If it works fine for them
then your code is fine and you have to search for your format or convert it in flv my any means.

Problems using Animation Presets from Bridge

Dear all,
Using the CC range, and recently had a new problem using the animation presets from Adobe Bridge. I'm in After Effects as normal, and then go to the Animations drop down, click browse recent presets to open up Bridge, and then as normal use Bridge to select the preset I want. Double click it whilst highlighting my selected track in AE, and then AE reports this:
And the same error codes no matter what effect/animation I choose, whether its to an image, video or text.
If I just go, in AE, to my Recent Animation Presets, and choose one from there it loads up absolutely fine. But this is massively annoying. Any ideas? This problem appeared out of nowhere.
