Problems using Bex 3.x on Citrix Terminal Server Nw2004s

Hello,
we've got some problems using Bex 3.x on Ctirix Terminal Server.
1.) There are 3 Windows displayed (1)sapbex.xla
remote (2) Mappe 1
remote (3) Mappe
Why these Remote-Windonws are diplayed ? Do I have to set a path ?
2.) There occurs after a time when the Query should be changed ? No entry in SM21 ? An unexpected 'unable to show modal form within this context' error occured in wdbrlog"
Is there any connection time out-setting for the Bex ?
Thanks
Frank

Hi,
the problem resulted while implementing Citrix Hotfix XE104W2K3R02 and was fixed with XE104R02W2K3001.

  • CSS Load Balancing Citrix Terminal server, is ti possible ?

Hi we have to balance a Terminal Server Citrix Server Farm with css, did anyone already realize it? Is there any problem to do it ? Someone told me there is nat problem with citrix metaframe terminal server, has anyone information about it ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
    Max

Stickyness means that once a user is directed to a server through the load balancer, that user will remain on the server he was first load balanced to for the duration of their connection. Otherwise, every tcp connection that a user makes is load balanced to whatever servers are configured. There are severalways to configure stickyness. You can do it via:
    -source IP
    -source IP and destination port
-text string in a cookie or URL
    -SSL session ID
take a look at this document that explains it better than I could:

  • Problem with Adobe Pro and Reader on terminal server

    Hi,
We have have a Terminal Server environment with Adobe Pro and Reader. We have security for Adobe Pro, so only certain user has access to Adobe Pro and all users has access to Adobe Reader.
Some users receive many email with pdf's attachments in Outlook and need to print these attachments. They use the Outlook function to print email and attachment automatically. The users who has access to Adobe Pro can print attachment automatically with no problem.
The problem is user who only have access to Adobe Reader. The user can't print attachment automatically with the email, only the email is printed. But, they can open attachment and print with Adobe Reader. But, it's impossible to open each attachment because there are so many.
    Thanks for your help.
    Jonathan

    Hi,
    So if I understand correctly,
    1. You have installed Acrobat Pro & Reader on a Terminal server.
    2. You have created a security group in your Active Directory Users & Computers for users having access to Acrobat
    3. You have set permissions on C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exe on the terminal server and provided access only to the security group created above.
    4. Users are accessing the Terminal server through RDWeb or connecting remotely through MSTSC (RDP) or using a .RDP file
    5. Users get emails with PDF attachments and print the mail directly without opening the PDF in Reader.
Users check the box to print the attachments with the mail (see snapshot below):
    Some questions:
    1. What is the OS and platform (x86 or x64) of the terminal server?
    2. What are the versions of Acrobat & Reader on the terminal server?
    Thanks,

  • 2 Problems using lync client andriod conncet to lync server 2013 ( contacts status is Presence Unkhown)

    Hello Everybody
I have installed lync server 2013 in my lab . Everything is ok . but internal mobile client in my LAN can not work with lync !
    I installed lync server 2013.
I create 2 DNS record to lync-server : lyncdiscoverinternal and lyncdiscover.
clients  on PC (windows) work and everything is ok . when user use Anroid phone , cleint connect to lync server and list connnact list .BUT when Send IM to contact or start video call come this error :
" Failed to process the server response. Please try again . if the problem persists, contact your support team."
This is first problem. Another problem is the contact list for every user status  is "Presence Unkhown" !
No online , No Offline and all of contact status "Presence Unkhown" !
If i had to config mobility in in lync server 2013 ? or mobility service built-in in lync server 2013 ?
    please help me .

    Hi Meysam Halvaei,
As Thamara mentioned, you need to deploy reverse proxy.
Lync 2013 mobility clients are using a separate dedicated Ucwa parameter the URL is the same web services location as provided by the
    External/Ucwa parameter.
You need to have a look at the following diagram.
The Lync 2013 mobile client will need to connect with the external web services. The way Lync is designed this communication is always established using HTTPS/TCP 443, so the traffic
will need to pass through a reverse proxy or similar service that will take this communication and forward it to the server hosting the external web services, now using port 4443 instead.
    Best regards,

    Hi
I have 2 users that expierience strange errors in BEx.

    Hi Aneesh
The useres are updated Gui support package 54 and 15 for BW. Other users using the same Gui version do not expierience problems.

  • Problems using Modbus TCP accessed by NI OPC Server

    Hi there,
i'm using NI OPC-Server to access a measurement module. The buildup is quite easy, my system with NI OPC, a modbus gate and there the module connected with RS485.
There's a thermocouple to provide me some sample data.
But there's the point. I know, my data is in the Holding Registers and I can access them, but every data type I'm trying doesn't bring my my data out, just any other (sometimes Huge with e34, sometimes very small like e-13...) sorts, i can't understand.
The type provided by the module should be single precision.
In Lookout the address used to be is 41000 in Labview it's just 999 and in the "target" OPC-Server I get some values at 401000 but not useful.
I also get the same results accessing 301000 in different types.
Read/Write or Read Only is equal.
I've tried to tell my OPC that the values are Strings, Floats, Words, BCD and all other possible ways OPC offers me, but nothing results in a usable temperature.
I hope I missed something and you could suggest it.
    Cateros
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Thanks for your reply.
in LabVIEW I'm using the provided Modbus Libraries. If I unbundle the Holding registers, my value appears at Holding Register [0], I'm type casting it to single and get the sample temperature. (Address 999->unbundle->typecast->value)
In NI OPC, I'm reading ( [depends on zero based addressing]  300999/301000 equal to 400999/401000) an already typecasted Holding Register [1] compared to LabVIEW (and the value changes in the second or third digit behind the comma and they are changing at the same time). Data type in the tag is float.
Another disturbing thing is even if I change in the options "using zero-based addressing in registers" my value does not change.
If I'm reading two addresses close to each other (as you mentioned 401000-401001) I'm getting an unknown data type and no results. How do I read multiple addresses without such errors? And how do I specify a special register to read?
Scaling should not be the problem, I am having three ways to get my value (FTP-Server on the gate (just a *.dat file with correct type), software the the module manufacturer (while measuring and configuring the module) and LabVIEW(as can be seen above)) .
Sadly, I have not found any useable modbus documentation about the module (just it can use modbus, you have the registers, you could read/write and fine)
When I'm adding a second couple to the module, in LabVIEW Values in Holding Register [2] and Holding Register [3] appear and are changing.

You need to switch SQL server to just use SQL Server authentication or both. The problem is that it is looking for a Windows NT account for nakhter with the password java. We get this all the time on new SQL Server installs if you just take the defaults.

  • I'm running 10.7.4 and have many problems using webdav to link to a remote server

I connect to a company called Egnyte which provides remote data storage. Their solution is really elegant, but I have a lot of problem with speed using the webdav plug in. It is especially bad on Microsoft Office documents which can take up to a minute for simple documents to open and close. And when I have two documents on the cloud open at the same time and try to paste between them...forget about it. It takes forever!
We also have folks in our company which use Windows based machines and they do not have the same problem. Egnyte hasn't been able to solve the problem.
Any information about webdav problems on Lion/Macs would be greatly appreciated.

If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

  • Help: Problem using Zen Micro with Yahoo Unlimited Music Serv

I get a "Error reading device contents: The Data is Invalid" message when I try to synchronize my Zen Micro with the Yahoo music engine. When I first connect my Zen via usb, the Yahoo engine recognizes the Zen Micro but it is unable to read the contents of the Zen prior to my synchronizing. After trying to read my Zen for a while, I get the pop up message described above. I am using version 2..02 zen firmware and version .0..4 of the Yahoo engine.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Does the Zen Micro actually work with the Yahoo service?

I get huge problems with viewing flash on Citrix Terminal

  • Problem with starting devices at terminal server

    Hi all,
I got a problem I can't solve at my terminal server.
In order to provide the Java ME SDK for home office use i installed it at our terminal server (Win2003Server Standard 32Bit) as administrator.
Our developers access it via RDP.
Now I got a strange effect: when I open an application in a device I get this error message:
    SCHWERWIEGEND [org.openide.util.RequestProcessor]
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at org.netbeans.modules.javame.platform.jme_sdk.autoinstaller.AutoInstaller$4.run(AutoInstaller.java:242)
    at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$Task.run(RequestProcessor.java:573)
    [catch] at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$Processor.run(RequestProcessor.java:1005)
No device window appears. At least not at my remote desktop. The window opened at another active remote desktop. It seems, this is the reason of the broken communication.
Now we are wondering how to install the SDK to prevent us from that effect.
Did anybody face a behavior like that and give me advice?
    Thanks

  • Outlook 2010 Pro Plus not showing Retention/Archive Policies only on Terminal Server

I have Office 2010 Pro Plus (Terminal Server License) installed on Remote Desktop Services 2008 R2 and running Outlook 2010 against Exchange 2010 SP1 with Enterprise CALS for all users.  If I run Outlook locally on a PC (not TS Client)
I have apply folder retention policies and archival policies no problem but if I open Outlook on Terminal Server I cannot.  Everything is greyed out.  This is the exact same version of Outlook, just different keys but I can't apply any policies for
    the Terminal Server users.
So, to clarify, on a regular PC, I can click an Outlook folder, click on the "Policies" button on the ribbon and have retention policies as well as Online Archive settings as I should but when I use the same version on Terminal Server
the Policies button is greyed out completely and cannot set.  I am NOT using auto-archive settings and not using PST files, only Online Archive.

  • FreeRadius and Cisco 2600 Terminal Server [IOS 12.1(3)T]

    Hi Cisco People
I'm using FreeRadius 2 and Cisco 2600 Terminal server to coordinate access to cisco routers based on time‏ ranges.
Basically we are an education/training environment where we have some students accessing the routers and switches for practise, terminal server are used to consolidate the console access, and these terminal servers authenticate the users through a Radius server (as shown in the following figure). Additionally, the students are categorized into few groups. We want to implement policy on the radius server so that only a certain group can access the resources in a given duration of time (the user should be dropped from the terminal when the subscribed time is reached and cannot access thereafter .)

aaa accounting exec default start-stop group radius
aaa accounting network default start-stop group radius
aaa accounting connection default start-stop group radius
After this, I am able to see that the terminal server actually receives an Access-Accept including the Session-Timeout attributes like the following :
            Service-Type = NAS-Prompt-User
            Cisco-AVPair = "shell:priv-lvl=15"
            Session-Timeout = 20
But the problem is that it doesn't really terminate the session after the 20 seconds are reached . My questions is that :
    1. Is the terminal server really able to enforce such time limit after receiving the attribute ?
    2. Is the 2600 terminal server  with [IOS 12.1(3)T] compliant with RFC 2865?
    3. What can I do so that the terminal server forces the user to be logged out after the session time limit is reached ?
    Thanks
    Frank

    Frank,
I think you should use the login time s well:
    Login-Time
Login-Time is a very powerful internal check AVP. It allows flexible authorization and its value is used by the logintime (rlm_logintime) module to determine if a person is allowed to authenticate to the FreeRADIUS server or not. This value is also used to calculate the Session-Timeout reply value. Session-Timeout is subsequently used by the NAS to limit access time.
The following line will grant Alice access only between 08:00 and 18:00 each day.
    "alice" Cleartext-Password := "passme", Login-Time := 'Al0800-1800'
The logintime module will calculate the reply value of Session-Timeout if Alice has logged in within the permitted timeslots to inform the NAS how long she is allowed to stay connected. If Alice tries to access the network when she is not permitted, the request will be rejected.
    http://www.packtpub.com/article/getting-started-with-freeradius
    http://wiki.freeradius.org/config/Users
yes, the terminal server is RFC 2865 compliant.

  • Java screen rendering on Terminal Server

    Hi,
We have installed an application written in Java on our Terminal Servers so that it can be delivered to a number of winterms. The application responds correctly, but we've noticed that screen updates can be very sluggish in specific parts of the application. We've confirmed that small screen changes are causing large bitmaps to be sent from the server to the client.
Is anyone aware of any issues/guidelines/best practise info regarding the use of specific java components under terminal server/metaframe? The developers may be able to make changes for us, but I'd need to tell them what to avoid!
For example: Reading some of the documentation leads me to believe that awt may use native controls resulting in faster rendering, whereas swing controls (implemented in java, apparently) may render as large bitmaps. I'm not exactly an expert on Java though, so I could be completely wrong.
    Does anyone have any pointers?
    Thanks,

Maybe a little idea,we had a similar problem with our terminal servers and especially with PCAnywhere. It occured a lot that windows didn't repaint after a paint event untill you dragged them a little with the mouse.
Now it is possible in those programs to switch on/off Hardware Acceleration (at least in PcAnywhere, but I think there are also options on Terminal Server side).
Gave us a good help, hope it works for you too
