Problems using download manager

I am having a problem using the download manager, it is giving me an error downloading some items while others download successfully. The error it gives me is "request failed 401". This looks to me like a permission error, but without changing my configuration other items downloaded fine. I have also taken my OSS ID and password in the configuration screen and pasted them into the login fields for service maketplace and I was able to logon. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

this is a really funny stuff.
i also having the same problem.
but i solved it.
it because i've been download on download basket using other SAP-ID.
And when i'm login using my own id, when i try, it result the error 401.
I'm frustated, because at download manager, my dowload basket has been successfully appear. So, i assumed that the logon is successfull.
And then because the long long long error...i tried inserting the other logon (the SAP ID that i've been using for download basket before)...and it works!
maybe SAP should work on this problem immediately.
note: i've been try on different browser, re-install download basket, and clearing the cookies and cache.

If I am not wrong then your browser needs to support cookies. Download managers pick up the username/password information from the cookies that are saved by the browsers (whether IE/firefox or whatever).

  • Downloading using download manager

Hi I recently got an IPad Air as a birthday present. It's my first time using an apple product and I'm having difficulty downloading and playing music on it. I downloaded some music as a test using Download Manager. Now how do I get it to show up on the music app? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a million

On the iPad you can purchase music using the iTunes app.
on your computer, install iTunes (it's free) and load your music into iTunes on the computer. Then connect your iPad to your computer and run iTunes on the computer. Select the iPad in iTunes, select the Music tab in iTunes and select to either sync all music or select just the playlists your want on the iPad. Finally click on Sync or Apply to copy the selected music to your iPad. It will then be found in the Music app on the iPad.

Hi, when I try to use the download manager to download the CR XI R2 service packs I keep getting the username and password error. My username and password provided by BO self does not help. Any ideas what I am missing here? Thanks in advance.

I don't think that you can use download manager for this, but you can try to pull it down using the FTP site.  I'm actually having trouble connecting to it right now, but I have pulled down the sneak preview successfully before.

  • Problem using Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control in Firefox 3.6.6

    Hello all,
I just intalled Oracle 11g and trying to familiarize myself with Enterprise Manager 11g Dataabse Control using Firefox 3.6.6 in Windows XP.
I'm able to login to Enterprise manager successfully.
However, when I click on on "Performance Tab", the "SYSTEM_MOVING_WINDOW" is empty, and there's a prompt "Click Here to Download Plugin."
When I do click on it, I get message:
    No suitable plugins were found.
    Unknown plugin (application/octet-stream) [Manual Install].
I'm not sure what plugin I need so I can use Enterprise Manager properly.
    Please help!
    Thanks

I use the Opera browser so I can split the screen to monitor multiple instances at the same time on my 2nd monitor. I am not having issues with the 10g OEM but having the same problem listed in this thread with the 11g OEM ( we have both running during our migration to 11g). The posts here didn't help me with the 11g OEM as there must be some difference from 10g OEM. I will hate it if I can't do the split screen to monitor multiple instances at the same time. And if you are connecting via solaris or lunix browser then IE is not an option ( W3C standards please ).

  • Problem using extension manager CS5 with command line

    Hi All,
I had posted my question here : http://forums.adobe.com/message/4695419#4695419, but was advised to do so here as well..
I have a requirement to get the path of all the installed Extension Managers on any Windows system for the purpose of installing an extension.. I thought, there would be no problem in getting the path from the registry. There was no problem in Win XP, but the same does not work for Win 7.. I googled, and found alternate ways to get the path.
Here is the link : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/851359. I followed the instructions in this post, but failed to get this working for CS5 as mentioned in my previous thread... No problem for CS5.1 and CS6.. Why is that?
I want to get this working for CS5, CS5.1, CS6... How can I get the path of all the Extension Manager versions installed on a Windows system?
Please refer to the following screenshots to get a better understanding of my problem,
I created a jsx file named "Result.jsx", which I saved in my D drive, with the following code,
    resultFile = new File("D:/result.log");
    resultFile.open("w");
    resultFile.write(BridgeTalk.__diagnostics__);
    resultFile.close();
If I run this directly from ESTK CS5, there is no problem, and I get the result.log file. I tried to execute this script via command line as shown in the screenshot,
On executing the above, I got the following error,
    What is going wrong?
    Please help!

I am sorry for the poor documentation of Extension Manager which causes you so much trouble.
    1. You can use BridgeTalk API to ask specific version of Extension Manager to do something. There is sample in packaging_extension.pdf about this. You don't need to know the installation path of Extension Manager. One thing to note is that the value of bt.target is version specific, i.e. "exman-5.0", "exman-5.5" send this message to different version of Extension Manager, so you can change this value to install/enable/disable/remove extensions using different version of Extension Manager. More detailed documentation of BridgeTalk can be found by clicking "Help" menu then clicking "Javascript Tools Guide CS5" in "Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS5".
    2. Specific version of Extension Manager only manage extensions for corresponding version of product. You should use Extension Manager CS5 to install extensions for Photoshop CS5. The reason that the extension you installed for Photoshop CS5.1 using Extension Manager CS5.5 is displayed for Photoshop CS5 in Extension Manager CS5 is that two versions of Photoshop specified the same directory for Extension Manager to manage extensions. This is a defect and will cause some problems if multiple versions of Photoshop co-existed in one machine. But "to find  previous (CS5) extension manager and to enable it" should work for you, I guess you use command line to enable it and specify wrong product name (see #3) so that it doesn't work.
    3. When using command line, you should specify "product" attribute with the name displayed at the left panel of Extension Manager. So "Photoshop CS5 32" is correct. Remember to enclose it with double quote because of existence of space character.
    4. As above mentioned, use display name of Photoshop, and call proper version of Extension Manager by BridgeTalk.

  • Various problems using extension manager with command line

    Hello all,
We are installing our plugins  to CS4/5/5.1 version of Adobe Photoshop as part of our installer and  allow the users to select specific versions of Photoshop to install the  panel for. There are a few old problems that I wanted to rant about for  quite some while and now with a whole bunch of problems that the 5.1  update introduced I feel I just have to voice them. I will limit it to  PC only as it seems to be the most troubled platform
#1 As we cannot install our plugin only by using the  Extension Manager (simply because it cannot handle all we've to do upon  the installation) we have to run commands from within the our installer,  non-interactively, of course.
The interface to command line installation is xmancommand.exe (or "Extension manager (Version). exe" - not sure whether it makes any difference. ). Now the first question is how to find this executable on   the target machine, from an installer. Users may specify different  locations to install the Creative Suite and it certainly does NOT have  to  be  C:\Program Files\...(or %PRGRAMFILES% in general). ATM we are using an odd place in the registry  to to find the path to the most recent Extension Manager but first its  sometimes overwritten by another installation and in any case it  only shows ONE version of the extension manager which of course cannot  handle other versions (see #2)
#2 Why the most recent version of  Adobe Extension Manager (5.5) cannot install the extension for 5.0?  Well, install it actually does, however its disabled for CS5 and it  seems that the only way to enable it on this platform is to find  previous (CS5) extension manager and to enable it. Oh, actually no - it  doesn't work! The only way that I found here working is to find CS5  extension manager first, install the extension there and then use CS5.5  extension manager to enable it. Why do I need both utilities to manage  my extensions?!
#3 The program is severely lacking in  documentation AND it doesn't produce reasonable output messages, so  determining what it can actually support is a puzzle. For example, why  "Dreamweaver CS5" is a correct product name and "Photoshop CS5" is not (don't different teams talk to each other)? Ok, lets forget the consistency, but how do I make the utility output the list of all products it supports, in their  magic token form that it will actually be understood if passed in in the  command line? By trial and error? This menthod btw is also extremely painful: nany times when  specifying wrong parameters the program doesn't provide any output and just shrugs "whatever, go figure it yourself"...
#4 Why the only way to enable/disable an extension in Photoshop  seems to be using magic "productfamily" keyword that is not even listed  on Adobe's help page for command line options (here:  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/extensionmanager/cs/using/WSB4845EDD-14E5-476a-B749-FF328830D1 4F.html).?  E.g. "xmancommand.exe" -suppress -remove  product=Photoshop  extension=OurExtension" will ALWAYS fail with a lovely "'Photoshop is  not supported by Extension Manager CS5.5." error; I've tried "PhotoshopCS5", "Photoshop CS5", "PhotoshopCS5.1"  "Photoshop CS5.1", "Photoshop-12" (mentioned in examples section in  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/extensionmanager/cs/using/packaging_extension.pdf )  and a whole bunch of other permutations - none  seem to work (see #3). Magic "productfamily=Photoshop" does work. But  then it only aims the current version ("CS5.1") and I need it to work  for CS5 (I'm not even mentioning CS4...."). Would there be any suggestions?
Really, the question is, how do we, third-party developers, are  supposed to interact with the command-line utility without knowing where  it is, what product names is capable to work with and without being  able to target specific platforms (i86 vs x64 anyone  (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/672537)? CS5 vs CS5.1 (above)?). I don't  know what your test cases are for the command line tool (if any!), but this is simply insane, folks, simply  insane.

I downloaded some fonts and was using them in photoshop elements 10 and shut down the program and restarted. When I opened the document that I was working on it said that those fonts where not available (not sure of the exact wording). Ever since then I have not been able to get those fonts back into the program. I have tried deleting and re-downloading them but still can't get them on. What's going on?

Elements normally uses the main system fonts. Have you added them to your general fonts folder?

  • Problems with download manager

I'm trying to download the adobe premiere elements 13 trial version. I downloaded the adobedownloadassitant, but when opening it, I get an errror message: Sorry, an error has occured. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance. Any help?

    Alexander Avidan
Please start again with the download and install of the Premiere Elements 13 tryout but make sure that the antivirus and firewall(s) are disabled before you do that.
If you continue to have problems with the download and install of Premiere Elements 13 from the Adobe web site directly, then try the download and install from the following web site page (with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled)
Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
It is extremely important that you read and carry out the "Note: Very Important Instructions" on that web page in order to avoid getting an Access Denied message.
Please review and consider, and then let us know if the above worked for you.
    Thank you.

  • Problem running SAP Download Manager

    hi there,
I'm having a problem with Download manager. I've installed Java 1.4 runtime environment and i'm using a proxy to connect to the internet. I've configured the Download Manager with https://service.sap.com and my S-number and password and i've put in our server IP and the domain/username with network password. I still cant connect to my download basket.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks guys,
    Greeshma

    Hello Marcello,
If it is not in the network specifications, please check if you entered the right URL, it should be:
    http://service.sap.com
    Maybe this solves your problem?
Another option is to make a certificate for the SAP website, if you have done that, you can download directly from the website, instead of using the SAP download manager.
Hope you can do something with it.
    Kind regards,

  • Download Manager with Microsoft ISA Server

Hello forum, I need help with the connection of program SAP DOWNLOAD MANAGER with ISA Server 2004
I've installed JAVA 1_4_2_13 and Download Manager, I configured the setting with the proxy connection (server ISA, user and pass)
    but an error appears:
The basket content could not be read. The following exception occurred:
Unable to read data from the Service Marketplace: Check your settings and try again
In my ISA server I declared the form my IP to Internet permit all traffic out.
Somebody help me ??? what do I have to configure in my ISA Server to permit the connection?
    Thanks.
    Costa Gustavo

Hi Ram, I solved the problem with download manager.
First my PC don't use as default gateway the ISA Server, I've another default gateway for my LAN.
Is it the problem because my PC never contact directly to SAP, I could solved this problem if my PC can contact directly the IP of SAP.
You will can set in your PC the gateway of ISA server and public DNS to contact SAP directly
    For example:
I've default gateway 192.168.0.1 for my LAN
My ISA server to internet is 192.168.0.9
Public DNS : (My ISP) 200.0.1.1
In your ISA server you can set a policy from your PC to External for all user with all traffic permit.
You try set in your PC the following:
    Default gateway: 192.168.0.9
    DNS: 200.0.1.1
I hope this can resolve your problem

Yes and works well. But I'd like to know why it does not work with openJDK. In addition Fedora only has packages for opeJDK so I was more comfortable using openJDK.

If you're using Safari to download and not any 3rd-party download app, such as SpeedDownload, then don't quit Safari until the download is finished. IIRC, what you're describing is normal behavior. The 3rd-party download apps have the features that you want.
