I have just purchased and iPhone 5 and I'm unable to adjust the music volumes, play, pause, etc on the new apple EarPods.
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Yes. The only thing that won't work are the volume buttons.

Unpower it. If it still happens on a restart give it time - Apple's servers sometimes have glitches.

HT204053 I have problem using my Apple ID. I play the game hay day. I have problem buying what I need in the game.

Now I have a different Apple ID .but I want to use the one I have before. I update my ipad to the new iOS 7.0.2.the problem start.

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!
I had the same exact problem. I had my old apple ID connected to a school email which did not exist anymore. My ipad was prompting me to put the password in for that ID and I could not delete it from my ipad because the "Find My Ipad" was turned on, once again prompting for password. I called apple and they said this Apple no longer exists and is not in there system, which I knew already. After hours on the phone nobody could help me. Try this.
-Go to create a new Apple ID and use the same email address as the old apple ID which is locked in on your ipad
-Create a new password and all that, it will say it send a verification link to your email, in my case my email no longer exists so I could not do this
- I called Apple to explain this problem and I asked if they could verify it for me, which they did after I convinced them it was worth a try. The guy told me that the verification shouldnt matter and should still be able to login but he did it anyway. You can try skipping this step but if it doesn't work then go ahead.
-Go to ICloud and click on your account, the email should be grayed out but it should allow you to change that password, put in the new password which you just created.
-This allowed me to sign in to accept the new terms and conditions but it said "unable to conncet to server" so I just backed out and went to "Delete Account" and it worked!
The whole idea is to re-create your old apple ID into Apple's system and then use that new password. The guy at Apple said tons of people called about this problem and nobody could solve it. I thanked him for helping me and he thanked me for helping him. I hope this helps you!

Using New Apple Keyboard with Tiger

So I recently got one of the new Apple Keyboards

However, the one problem I've been having is that it seems like the function keys are mapped differently between Leopard/SL and Tiger, so that when I press F12, which should be volume up according to my keyboard, Dashboard appears instead, which is what happens on my Tiger Macbook's actual keyboard. Now this would be fine and dandy as long as F5 corresponded to volume up as well, as it does originally, but f5 now refreshes my internet page. Is there any way to correct this? Thanks.

Check if reassigning keys in preferences > keyboard > keyboard shortcuts does anything

Anyone having problems using non-apple mains charger with Classic?

I have 2g nano which works fine with my generic ipod charger. I'm about to upgrade to an 80gb Classic. Anyone have any problems using these?

Huge problem with NEW Apple ID

I have a new IPad3 that I set up with a new Apple ID. I did this because I have3 other ipads that have the same Apple ID.
Everything went well and I even got a new ICloud account with the new ID.
However I can not use my new Apple ID on the iTunes store either on the Imac, MacAir or the iphone. Whenever I try to log in I get an error message..Can not connect to iTunes or if I manage to get by that I get..This Apple ID has not been used before and I get an option to review or cancel. I choose review so that I can get my credit card info in there. But thats it. I get no further..everything stops and I get that unending spinning circle and everything hangs up.
THis is the second new ipad to do this. I had another one yesterday and had the same problem. I tried creating three new IDs and none of them worked. I called Apple and they had me restore, reset, reset network connections..nothing worked so they exchanged it today.
I have Apple Air Express that works just fine as does all my other devices. So its not my bandwidth. I can not figure this out. I have sent an email to the iTunes store and have received nothing except an automated response.
Can anyone help me with this. I am all out of ideas.
UPDATE: I was able to use my new Apple ID here! But no where else.

Use your old Apple ID, the same one you use on your other devices. Go into Store>Settings>Then sign out of that account and go into the old one.
Your other devices aren't letting you use your new ID because two different ID's ones on a device. Since you are logged in under the old one on those, you cannot access the new one or use it without signing out of the old one.
It would be MUCH easier to just use the same ID you are using with the other devices...

Using new Apple ID on an old iPad

I have a question. I recently had my iPhone stolen. On that Apple ID I also had my iPad. I now have a new phone and decided to create a new Apple ID (I feel safer this way). My question is, can I simply change Apple ID info on my iPad to the new one and everything will work fine (and will not be connected to the old one in any way) or is it better to erase everything and set up as a new device? I don't have that many apps on my iPad and the only ones that are ''purchased'' are Keynote, Numbers and Pages (obviously they were free but now I'd have to pay for them). I don't even use these. But I would still want to keep everything as it is, I just don't want any link to the old Apple ID, because it is associated with a stolen device. I hope you understand. Can anybody answer this for me or is it better to call Apple and see what they can do?

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

Problem using NEW webcam...

OS win98SE.
Have successfully installed my new webcam Vista Plus Model: VF0090. I now have a problem using it!
As per instuctions, I go to WebCam Centre and press 'capture'. I then get a message along the bottom of the screen saying 'this device is not available, it may be used by another resource'.
I'm completely at a loss as to what the problem could be.
Any one out there who could help?

Got the same problem (1), in addition to the installer freezing (2).
(1) There seems to be a problem with the software - the driver is OK. I used it to record still pictures and movies with MS Photoeditor, Irfanview, WinTVCap and YahooMessenger.
I played around for hours at no avail.
---> Creative - fix that problem in both Cam Detector and WebCam Center!!!
(2) The Setup freezes, then when you kill it it comes up with a DOS window complaining about not enough resources (?!?!?!).
Work-around:
a - Run Demo.exe from the CD;
b - it asks for a *.dbd: look for "your region".dbd, e.g. europe.dbd
c - continue and it will install ...
However, do not know if the install process is correct, because of problem (1). My guess is that it is, and that the problems (1) and (2) are independent.
Again:
---> Creative - fix that problem in with the setup!!!
e.g., use a setup which is less "cool" but which is working.

I was having trouble using my original Apple ID and password after installing iCloud in my 3GS. As a result I started a new Apple ID and password. When I try to update my apps at the App Store on my 3GS it asks me for a password associated with my old Apple ID. How can I get the new ID and password to work so I can update Apps?

Mark--I have a similar issue. After the update on my iphone 4....itunes no longer accepts my password that I used on itunes/app store for years....after repeated attempts I used my email password just for the heck of it and it worked....***...I have no idea what this is about?!

Audio Problem with new Apple TV: Audio Optical (Toslink) to RCA

Hi guys,
I just set up my new Apple TV but don't have any audio so far (picture works).
It's probably because I connected the HDMI to DVI, as my Sony TV only has DVI.
Now I am thinking about getting audio by connecting the optical audio of the Apple TV to my stereo receiver to solve this issue.
Problem: my Sony STR-D315 receiver only has RCA connectors ( looking like this: http://media.photobucket.com/image/receiver%20rca/xyphon112/IMG_1701.jpg not sure if this is digital or analog)
Now I figured out that there would be converters:

Do you think this could solve my problem? I am little confused atm, but would I need the "toslink to digital coaxial(RCA)" or the "digital coaxial (RCA) to toslink" product?

Do you think this might work?
My goal is only to get sound, doesn't need to be super quality

That's what I was worrying about, I also think that the audio inputs of my Sony STR-D315 receiver are only analog. My Sony TV has audio input but unfortuntately it's not optical
A "TOSLINK to analog RCA converter" really sounds like the only solution. Would this be an appropriate one?

My iCloud account on my iPhone is my old Apple ID. My MacBookPro and iTunes are with the new Apple ID. I updated my iPhone with the new operating system and my iCloud account was with my old Apple ID and wouldn't accept the Apple ID or password so I had to skip the step where it synced my FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud. How can I change my Apple ID on my phone so it reflects my Apple ID on all my other devices?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

en though the original email address used to create the Apple ID originally is no longer valid, the Apple ID is. You will need to add a new recovery email to your Apple ID account. And you will only be able to update your software with the original ID as content (music, apps etc) are forever tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase/download the content.

I have created a new Apple ID for my DAD. I have formatted my IPAD 2 for him but when I log into iCloud or view contacts on the IPAD all of my contacts are in his BRAND new apple ID??? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
For the avoidance of doubt you are logged into his ID at settings > iCloud. Are you by any chance logged into your account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars.
It is possible to do this by keeping the contacts when you log out of your account and then merge them when you set up his.
The solution is just to delete them, but we need to make sure they aren't somehow tied to your account still and that you don't end up deleting them from your account too.
