Problems using Restore View
Okay,
I have been trying to use Adobe Reader to read many different PDF files on many different computers. I want to restore to the last view that I was looking at.
I followed the instructions and went to "Edit...Preferences...Documents...(Open Settings) Restore last view setting when reopening documents" and enabled this.
However, whenever I reopen the document, it continually returns to the first page of the document.
I read somewhere that when files are saved it can cause it to restore to the first page, but I am only using the same document for which I (to the best of my knowledge) am not making and saving changes to. I even went so far as to disabled all the Save options, but still this did not solve the problem.
I am using Adobe Reader version 9 on Windows XP.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Problems using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFF Files
Hey there!
Maybe someone here may have a good hint due to our problem?
The Situation as it is:
We are using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFFs.
The Process looks like following:
The first step is to show a list of files situated in the user's personal folder(Network-Share).
Then the user selects one of these Files through a mouse-click -> The File is displayed via ECL Viewer.
Now the user selects the personal-Id where this file should be connected to and selects "SAVE".
The Programm closes the Viewer and saves the Data in SAP Archiv.

But now the last processing-step would be to delete this file from the user-folder.
(So next time the users starts it there will be only files he/she has to work on...)
Here an error message is telling us that the file can not be deleted because there s some kind of file lock set...
This problem only occurs only during processing multipage-Tiffs after paging down (swiching to page 2,3,4...) once at least.
Any Idea what's the cause here - or how to get through it?
We are using a CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER objekt as base -> hooked on that is a CL_GUI_ECL_VIEWERBOX and the TIFF itself is displayed wit an I_OI_DOCUMENT_VIEWER objekt.
Maybe we get confused while destroying the "Connections" to the FIle oder something with Automation Queue Handling is not implemented right?

I just converted a number of my sites over from GoLive CS2 to
Dreamweaver CS3. All the sites seem fine but when I go to look at
any pages in the Design pane (they use a template) of one of my
sites, the table is collapsed. (Yes, I am using nested tables
because of the way my shop is set up with my eCommerce.) But if I
can see everything fine in GoLive's Layout Tab then why can I not
see it in Dreamweaver like that.

I found this (TS3579: If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac Learn about If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac) useful because I did not know about the effect of typing in data and that you could only drag to rearrange the data. I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up in Finder.
It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

I got the following pop-up when I tried to open an online PDF file:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.
I tried many time, and it really doesn't work.
The plug-in I have is Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280After I upgraded to Firefox 5, I had the same problem and I did a work around temporarily. I went the tools menu, then Add-ons, then clicked the "Plugins" on the left side (4th one down). I "disabled" both Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.536 using the disable buttons on the right side. PDF files now open again. However they are outside the actual browser.
My guess is that Adobe didn't catch up yet with a new update to work with Firefox or vice versa.

Problem using views containing xpath expressions with Oracle Forms

Nice to see you back on the forum answering questions.
This example is based on the standard purchaseorder schema.
i registered the schema, created a relational table and then created
a view using xpath.everything works well and i am able to select the data
using sql*plus. Now this views is like any other view, when i describe the
view, i can see the all the data types are valid for the columns and also the lengths.
Now when i try to base a data block in oracle forms using this view, i get error
"ORA-24324 - service handle not initialized."
Whereas if i create another view on top of the first view and then base the data block on this view, it works for me. i described the second view from sql*plus and everything seems to be same for me.
this is the same behaviour from database 9i r2 and it exists in 10g r1 also.
Any hints as what might be the problem or you would like me to file a tar for this.

/RaghuNot used Forms for years. However I suspect that Forms is trying to poke around behind the view and not understanding what it sees. I expect you'll need to open a Forms Tar to get to the bottom of this. It also appears that you a workaround which is to create a view on the view by the sound of it..

I have problem in restoring my iphone. I broke the iphone contract in USA and came to India. I got steps to unlock in a mail and i followed those steps. When i try to restore using itunes then it always says some message like "turn off find my phone." How can i get rid of this message.

safari is having problem loading messages in gmail. When using other browsers, there is no problem loading and viewing the messages. What is going on? please help!
I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

I am creating a simple Java class to use a view object (companiesView)that I created and tested in JSP with the following code:

Problem in displaying multiple column values using Narrative View
Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I need to display column 1 of an Answers report as a header and all values of column 2 below tht.
There are multiple values from column 2 for every value in column 1
Example:
Group:
Grp (This is column 1)
Activity:
Act1
Act2
Act3 (These are values from column 2)
I have used narrative view for this which looks like:
Group: @1
Activity:@2[br/]
But this displays the value of column1 along with every value of column 2. I want column 1 value to be displayed only once.
