Problems using Role for Security to business area

I have a role set up with several users in it. User A and user B are both in this business area. When I grant access to a business area using this role, they are unable to see the business area in the user edition. If I specify User A to the business area they can see the business area. This does not seem to happen all of the time. Any solutions for this ?
Has anyone else come across it ?

You could try this- Tools -> Priviliges -> (Show Privilege for the ROLE not the USER), then see if "Desktop & Plus Privilege" is checked
I was just creating/removing EUL's in my test instance and the same thing happened to me.

    Was it possibly a power cut in connection with a thunderstorm? Any other evidence of higher than normal voltages (light bulbs, et cetera)? Has the line voltage been checked (measured with an appropriate voltmeter/multimeter)?
    If necessary, it would be possible to remove the hard drive, and then connect it to an external IDE/ATA to USB adapter (example below). That way you could gain access to files on the hard disk from another computer.

  • Suggestions needed for Export/Import Business Area Problem

    I'm trying to export/import a Business Area from one instance to another and I get the following error during import processes.
    Database Error - ORA-00001: unique constraint (EUL4_US.EUL4_EXP_PK) violated
    The Business Area I'm trying to import doesn't exists in new instance. During the import wizard I've checked refresh existing object and match by identifiers.
    I think my target instance has objects with same identifiers, so I went ahead and changed the identifiers in my source, but still problem persists. How can I correct this error?

    Did you happen to copy the EUL from one database to another before you were importing/exporting the BA?
    Discoverer recognizes EULs using unique reference numbers. However, if you use the database export and import utilities to copy an EUL, the new EUL (including its reference number) will be identical to the original EUL. When EULs have the same reference number, EUL consistency issues can arise if you do both of the following:
    * If you modify objects in both the original EUL and in the new EUL
    * Having modified objects in both EULs, if you then attempt to copy objects between the two EULs using the Discoverer Export Wizard and Import Wizard (or the Discoverer /export and /import commands)
    To avoid potential EUL consistency issues, run the eul5_id.sql script as the owner of the new EUL. The eul5_id.sql script gives a new refererence number to the new EUL and thereby avoids any potential EUL consistency issues.

    We are transferring stock from one plant to another plant. Each plant is business area. We are doing stock transfer at some profit element of Rs. 250. Transfer is done from Business Area D002 to Business Area D001.
    When we do outbound delivery, it posts following entry:
    Stock A/c... Dr (Business Area D001) Rs.1250
        To Stock A/c (Business Area D002) Rs.1000
        To Profit on transfer (Business Area D001) Rs.250
    However, I want to substitute business area for third line. I want that, business area D001 should be replaced with business area D002. However, there is some substitution rule for the same. Please tell me, how this substitution can be done.

    What is the process for your stock transfer ?
    However, as of my knowledge, you can't achieve this accounting entry in standard.
    See, if you are using MAP for material for both plant, then accounting entry will be
    Stock A/C debit for plant D001
    Stock A/C credit for plant D002.
    If you are using standard price for material, then accounting entry will be
    Stock A/C debit for plant D001
    Stock A/C credit for plant D002
    Price diff account credit or debit (as per the price difference for material price for both plant).

    Before maintaining this validation rule, when we try to post transaction. We have tried with other combination of Business area and desired business area. Message appears "Profit Center not consistant with Business Area".
    What is the logic behind this? This is just for my understanding..
    If we create rule for new Profit Center for desired Business Area then possibly system will not throw error message.
    Please correct me if I am wrong?

    I have a small business with 50 employees and want to know if iCloud could be used as an alternative to 365?

    iCloud is designed for single person use, and isn't intended for business use. Some business do use it, but there is limited support in the event of problems. If you were thinking of using the @icloud.com email service I would advise against it - apart from lack of support it shows that you are using a free service which doesn't give a good impression. You would be better off with an email service tailored to business users, with proper support and a guaranteed uptime, and getting your own domain for the address,
    As to the syncing and other facilities provided by iCloud, though a small number of people might be able to use them I'm not sure that it would cope with 50. I've an idea there is a limit to the number of devices. iCloud drive, due in the autumn with Yosemite and iOS8, may or may not handle this  - we don't know yet; but I still think that for any size of business iCloud is a dubious proposition.

    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    Save your work first!
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache
    Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage: "Clear Now"
    2. Delete your stelladot.com cookies
    From a page you can access on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    Then you can remove all cookies for sites ending with stelladot.com and reload. You'll probably have to log in again.

    Basic Authentication" i added the lines :

    the web.xml file.
    then i deployed the .ear file and it worked fine.
    the problem is: when i try to access the bookstore application the web
    container ask me for username and pwd (BASIC
    auth), i give him the username/pwd set in the principals.xml and i got
    back :Authorization failed.
    am i missing some basic step?

    Further to my previous posting... I've achieved some success.
    There is a file under home/application-deployments/addressbook/addressbook-web called orion-web.xml, which I assume is auto-generated when an application is deployed. Within this file are a set of <security-role-mapping> entries as per my settings in orion-application.xml, but without the <group-name> subtags.
    On a whim, I added the <group-name> entries to orion-web.xml and now the bloody thing works. I made the same changes to my own application (which was exhibiting the same problem, which is why I tried the addressbook) and now it works as well.
    I should be content, but... why weren't the <group-name> tags added to the file? Can someone shed some light on this?

  • Problems using Photoshop CS3 to calculate pixel areas

    Is there a known problem with CS3 Photoshop when using it to calculate how many pixels are contained within selected areas when they are complex shapes?  I am trying to do some calculations and for simple areas it is very good but for other areas it comes up with blatantly incorrect values. For example if you create a matrix of tangent circles within a rectangle and start looking at the areas of the circles and the intervening spaces between the circles and or between the circles and the enclosing rectangle surrounding the edges of the outermost circles, and then start to use the "Histogram" window/panel (I'm using Mac version of CS3 Photoshop) the number of pixels is way off sometimes. I've notice that there is sometimes a warning icon in the Histogram panel that says "Click for Histogram with uncached data" and when that is done then beleivable numbers are shown.
    So why would the "cached" data be so far off when doing these sorts of calculations??
    Thanks for any suggestion on how to accurately compute areas this way.

    What does "representative sample" really mean?
    The funny thing is that for some areas (circles for example) the number in the Histogram was very accurate, but complex shapes were horriblly inaccurate (off by about a factor of 4-5). The complex areas involved combinations of other smaller circular areas, so have trouble understanding why these areas would be so far off compared to circles. None of the areas in question were rectangular, but some sides of the regions did have one or two straight edges along with the circular other edges.
    Anyway, glad to read that it's a known issue and there is a way around the problem to get at an accurate number.

  • Permission problem: Correct roles for ESS??

    Hello to all,
    I have implemented ESS for mySAP ERP 2005. If I start ESS in portal, it only works fine when the backenduser in mySAP ERP2005 has sap_all permissions. If I delete it and try only with some ESS roles I get an error like not having the correct permissions to start XssMenu.
    Can anybody tell me which roles and/ or profiles I had to add to these users? At the moment I only added the SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP role but it seems that is is not the whole solution.
    Any ideas?

    You no longer can upgrade to Mountain Lion. You need to first reinstall Lion to try and correct your mistake.
    Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    In the future leave permissions alone. They should never need changing.

    the petstore needs some of the services of a Java EE 5 application server to run. It uses some technologies that are part of Java EE 5like annotations, Java Persistence Objeects, JSF 1.2 etc.

  • JPA Problem using alias for columns in a query

    Hello, I am having some problems with a query that I am trying to use in my JEE project. This query doesnt return an entity but a group of values. I created a class representing the result and a query with the jpa constructor expression but it is not working.

    i use berkeley db .my operating system is unix freebsd and c for api.
    i use gcc compiler for compile program.
    my program is like this

    You didn't list the gcc command you used to compile/link.
    This error - "undefined reference to 'db_create'" - means that you
    are not linking against the Berkeley DB library when you attempt
    to load the program. It also could mean you are linking against the wrong version
    of a library.
    Here is an example of command syntax that works for me on SUSE.
    gcc -Wall -I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4/include inmem2.c -L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4/lib -ldb-4.4 -o inmem2.o
    env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4/lib ./inmem2.o
    Of course, you should substitute in the name of your own program
    and the desired output name.
    Since these procedures are not completely standardized, please
    check your compiler and loader documentation for specific information
    as to how to reference a library on your system during the link
    phase. You may need to set a value for LD_LIBRARY_PATH or a
    similar environment variable.

  • [Solved] Problem using kdebindings for ruby

    As a weekend project I was going to look into using ruby as language for developing KDE plasma widgets.
    I have kdebindings-ruby 4.6.0-1 along with the required kdebindings-smoke 4.6.0-1.
    When trying:
    require "plasma_applet"
    I get the error:
    LoadError: libsmokebase.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/x86_64-linux/plasma_applet.so
    However when checking the directory
    /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/x86_64-linux/
    32K plasma_applet.so
    shows up clear as day.
    So what gives? I haved tried to find an answer here on the forums and on google but perhaps my google foo is too weak.

    Where this statement is made:
    Kdebindings-smoke does not provide anymore libsmokebase.so.3, either in chakra-Linux or Arch Linux, was available in kde 4.5.5 but no in 4.6.0
    Does this need to be submitted as a bug?
