Problems using tools in toolbars

I have problems using many of the tools in toolbars. I simply can't click on them to use them, they are "dead".
I recently installed Indesign and have had this problem from the start. (Windows 7 64 bit)

Problem using tools

I notice if I leave photoshop on for a while I'll start having a small problem when
I decide to go back to the window.
I go to use a tool like the gradient tool or paint bucket tool and the icon is stuck as a hand when I try to use the tool.
All it does is grab the canvas and shifts the position when I'm trying to actually use the tool on the layer I've selected. The layer isn't locked.
What causes this and how do I prevent it?

Problem using tools illustrator cs6

Hi, could someone help me fix an issue regarding the tools displaying on illustrator cs6, evaluation version ? I cannot access the full panels of the sub tools : for instance, rectangle and double clic should display, ellipse, star, polygons etc. But the double clic makes nothing. I have the photoshop evaluation version which functions quite good, and whereby the sunrooms can be displayed. Any help or suggestion more than welcome !

Problem using PSE9 Brush Tool!

I am experiencing a problem using the PSE9 Brush Tool. The color does produced by the brush not match the color of the sample picked by the Eyedropper Tool, Painting near the area where the sample was picked-up results in a much darker color.

Check the blend modes for the brush tool in the tool options bar.
Also if your painting on a blank layer check the blend modes in the layers panel.
Either way try the Normal mode.

Z68a-GD65 (G3) Problems Using USB Bootable Tool 1.25g

I am having problems using the USB Bootable Tool 1.25g with the P77, P80, and P82 BIOS's. I have tried both modes 1 and 2. Both modes copy over everything successfully. When booting using the bootable USB drive, after copying the BIOS file via mode 1, the tool flashes a screen very quickly, then says BIOS updated successfully. This is not true, however, because nothing has been updated. I see something rapidly go 1-2-3-4-5, but the progress indicator I was familiar with with the old version of the USB Bootable tool does not show up, where the BIOS file was being copied block by block and took some time.
Mode 2 doesn't work either. I get the message "ROMFILE ROMID is not compatible with existing BIOS". This happened with all three BIOS's, using mode 2. I have tried the "Fix my USB Key" option, and have tried clearing the CMOS as described in the instructions on the forum. As a test, I used the M-Flash in the BIOS and was able to flash to P80. P80 is giving me problems with an Intel Management Mode HECI error which disappears when I start the PC, as well as me being unable to raise the base clock speed--even though it shows as raised in the BIOS and it saves the setting. I am now stuck with P80. Now I cannot flash to any other BIOS using the M-Flash utility, as it doesn't find the BIOS file I manually copied over to the drive. The USB bootable tool will not work.

I did use mode 1, although since I was having trouble, I used mode 2 also, after reading troubleshooting instructions for the USB BIOS tool. The archives I used were all ones I downloaded from the Beta BIOS thread I posted above.
The problems I was having with P80 were actually because I unknowingly was using the N20 BIOS because somehow my BIOS reverted to that. I have no idea how that happened, aside from that possibly being the failsafe BIOS as part of the dual bios system. Above, I meant to say that I flashed the BIOS through Windows when I had success with the P80 BIOS. The M-Flash utility does not read the BIOS files which are available on this forum.

Color palette problems using Toolbar and ImageList ActiveX Controls

I'm using Toolbar and ImageList ActiveX controls to implement toolbar functionality in a top-level VI.
I designed the icons used in the toolbar with a 256 color palette. When I initially added the icon images to the ImageList control and ran the VI, the icons were properly displayed in the toolbar, as expected. After saving VI, exiting LabVIEW, and reloading, it appears that a different palette has been applied to the images in the ImageList control. I'm attaching a screenshot of the problem as well.
Has anyone encountered this type of problem before? Any suggestions you provide will be greatly appreciated.

Tools randomly change to previously used tools

Hi all,
I'm running into a very strange and frustrating issue in Photoshop CS6 (running on a Macbook Air w/ OS X version 10.8.5).
When using keyboard shortcuts to toggle back and forth between tools, Photoshop will randomly revert back to my previously used tool. For example, I have the move tool active and am using it to move elements around in my PSD. Then, I switch to the type tool by using the 'T' shortcut on my keyboard. I go to click on the type that I want to edit, and Photoshop has reverted my active tool to the move tool. I type 'T' again to pull up the type tool, and within 1 or 2 seconds, Photoshop jumps me back to the move tool. It's as if I've pressed the 'V' shortcut immediately after pressing the 'T' shortcut! Sometimes I have to type 'T' to pull up the type tool 8 or 10 times before the type tool 'sticks'.
This is happening with other tools, too (toggling between Move & Marquee, Marquee & Direct Select, Zoom & Move, etc.) so it's not only limited to toggling between Move & Type.
I don't see the same issue when clicking on the toolbar to select a new tool (rather than switching via keyboard shortcut).
Has anyone else seen this issue? Does anyone know of a fix?

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

After that, I tried setting permissions for the cwallet.sso file to ugo+rwx, but this leads to the same problems as mentioned above.
My second try was to setup an external WLS 12c, but it seems to be not yet possible to connect to a WLS 12c from within jDeveloper.
Do you have any ideas ?

After debugging the WLS Initialisation with jdb, I recognized that there was some trouble with dependent libraries.
In the end, I solved my problem by using another OS (Ubuntu 11.10) for development. There, the WLS works out of the box, even with 64-Bit libraries.

Safari crash using television fanatic toolbar plug in

my wife's laptop has an error message when trying to open Safari: "Safari quit unexpectedly while using the TelevisionFanatic Toolbar plugin." Any suggestions on how to correct this issue. We cannot get to the internet as we can't open safari.

I just ran into this same problem, though I hope you've found a fix by now. I don't remember how I finally found this answer, but it was a different google search than the one that led me to this discussion. Anyway, I found television fanatic, finally, by doing this (you DON'T need to open safari to do this):
Go to Finder
Mac>Library>Application Support>TelevisionFanatic
Move the entire folder of TelevisionFanatic to your desktop. Restart your computer. Open Safari. If you are successful (it worked for me), then delete the TelevisionFanatic folder from your desktop and then permanently from your Trash.

Problem using Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT

I have problem using Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT (PSK30E-02T002B3) with no OS preinstalled.
I do the following:
1. Install Windows 7 x64, SP1.
2. Install LAN driver (device was not recognized by Windows 6) (downloaded from [http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=SE&LNG=26&userAction=S MP_RESULTS_PAGE&partNumber=PSK30E-02T002B3&serialNumber=&USER_ACTION=Serial%20number])
3. Install all Windows Updates from Microsoft
4. Run Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 - it installs a couple of drivers and then asks to reboot.
Here is the log file for the first try (win7update.log):

You are right this notebook model was delivered without OS.
Win7 64bit is supported for this notebook model and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities are available on Toshiba download page.
What I can say is that all this stuff must be installed in right install order. I know it sounds stupid now but I recommend you to make clean OS again and continue installation following this installation order:

Problem using Export in Oracle 8.1.6.

Hi,
I have a problem using export utility in oracle 8i.
I got a message:
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
I tried running CATPROC.sql and CATEXP.sql but it did not correct the problem.

You may want to try using the error lookup tool available here, http://otn.oracle.com/pls/tahiti/tahiti.homepage?remark=tahiti You may be able to find the answer even though the error lookup tools is for 8.1.7 version. Otherwise, you can search the db discussion forums to see if this issue has been discussed already.

Bug in xdb ease of use tools?

I'm working with the XDB Ease of Use Tools for Structured Storage.
While executing the prvtxutil.plb file, I get the following error:

Problems using Oracle Sql Developer

Hello.
I am tryng to use the developer but I have serious problems using it. Lags, freeze, blocked screens, fatal errors without messages that make me close the application.
It is running on Windows 2000.
Somebody have this problems too?
Is this tool operative or is in beta state?

I executed a query & need to cancel the operation. However the busy cursor won't let me click Cancel (X) icon. Why ?
Also from time to time a simple operation of copy / paste freezes the screen and eventually comes back to life after 4/5 minutes. Why ?
