Problems viewing MSNBC Slideshows using IE 7.0 and FP 9.0.115

I installed the latest version of Flash Player on a new
laptop (running WinXP pro, SP2) with Internet Explorer 7.0
(including all updates). The slideshows on MSNBC (msnbc.msn.com -
photos section) will not play. The window opens, but it stays on
picture 1 of the slideshow. You cannot manually advance through the
pictures either by clicking on the picture numbers or arrows. I had
FP 9.0.47 on my computer using IE 7.0 and it worked fine, but then
as a test, I upgraded my computer to FP 9.0.115 and now my computer
cannot view the slideshows. FP works on other sites and slideshows,
just not MSNBC. Anyone else have this issue? I have sent in
requests to MSN tech support, but no response yet. I don't know if
this is an issue with MSNBC's stuff not working with the latest
version or what. I've tried everything I could think of...any
suggestions? Can anyone else duplicate this issue?

Flash Player for IE is integrated by Microsoft with Windows 8 and 8.1 only... IE11 is a "rolling train wreck", though. Almost NOTHING on the web can properly identify it if it can be identified at all. As long as your current Flash Player is working, I'd "let a sleeping dog lie". Until you NEED to update it, don't with IE11.
With WIn 8.1 it's the worst combination in all computing history. Be glad you still have 7.

Problem w/ image item using 9i BLOB field and InterMedia ORDImage Object

I have a problem with image item in Form 6i. Oracle 9i is used as backend DB, and a table contains image data is created for testing:

In Form 6i, there is no problem to create a block for inserting/updating the image record into the database. However, it can not be used to retrieve image (blob field), the image item remains empty after 'execute query', while the id field can be retrieved. When the same table is created in Oracle 8.1.7, and the exact same form can be used without any problem both in inserting and retrieval. It seems that the Oracle 9i does not use the same way to store BLOB column. Has anybody ever encountered this problem? How to retrieve image (BLOB) in Form 6i from Oracle 9i?
I tried to use interMedia ORDImage as the data type in Oracle 9i, that is,
create table image_test(
id number,
image ORDSYS.ORDImage
Same problem, the form can insert record with image, but when retrieving, nothing displayed. Anybody could help! Thanks in advance!

same problem..but i used (instead of blob or clob as datatype..) Long raw..
it can be saved as usual..i mean Commit..
and can be retrieved..using Execute_Query..its working fine..

Problem viewing pictures when using SD card (Lumin...

I recently insert a SD card into my Lumina 822. But the pictures that are taken by the 822 and saved to the SD card are not viewable...with "Invalid format..." errror message. Although, the pictures saved to the internal memory can be viewed fine.

Read speed is the same for all class of SD Cards. Only the write speed varies.

do you have a lot of stuff on your sd card. If so, then this is normal only in the initial stage because android has to read everything on the sd card and index them. That way asll this imformation will appear in Albums, Walkman, and other apps as well. However, depending on the amount of data you have on your SD Card, if after a few hours it is still very hot, then it might be a concern. Especially if it becomes too hot.
Although I'm not sure why it doesn't happen on Z. Maybe it does them slower in the background.

Problem Querying Oracle Forms Using a Date Field and a Format Mask

We are experiencing a problem with Oracle Forms that I was wondering if you can help me with.
We have several Forms that have single database blocks assigned to Oracle tables. The Forms are queryable and one of the fields we’re querying on is assigned to a field on the base table which is Not Null and has a Type of DATE. We are storing date/time information in this field on the database table. The item on the form is set up as a Date field with a Maximum Length of 7, a Format Mask ‘MMDDYY’ and having a Query Length of 10.
We’ve seen a discrepancy in how these fields are used to query the base table block. On some user’s computers they are able to enter a 6 digit date followed by the % sign (e.g. ‘091808%’) and they get the expected results. Other users get ‘FRM-40301: Query caused no records to be retrieved. Re-enter’. Do you know why we are experiencing this difference?
- The Oracle Database version we are running is Release 10.1.0.5.0.
- The Forms Developer version that we’re experiencing the problem with is 4.5.10.15.2

There is no obvious reason that I can see.
Version 4.5 is very old so you might have problems calling Oracle Support. If you can reproduce the same problem o0n 10.1.2 you should call have them analyze the problem.

Problem installing new ACR using LR3.4.1 and CS5

I've received error messages when I try to Edit In Photoshop, telling me that I need to update my ACR in order to proceed. I get almost all the way through with the installation (having closed LR3 and CS5) when I'm told to close Bridge. I don't use Bridge and it has not been opened at any time during the attempted installation. I'd appreciate any help that would allow me to complete the installation. Thanks.

You should identify the operating system you are using on any post. I'm guessing you are a Mac user, since we have already explained about Window's system tray, which is now called the 'notification area' on Windows 7. The following link has information on how to setup Adobe Bridge for both Windows & Mac systems so that it doesn't automatically launch at startup. This is most likely the cause of the problem you are experiencing! NO, you will not see the Adobe Bridge application because it is running in the background!

In the Adobe Bridge Edit>Preferences>Advanced dialog box, unselect the option for 'Start Bridge At Login.' Restart your system, since there does not appear to be a graceful way on a Mac to "stop" Bridge when it is running in the background. From hence forward, Bridge will NOT automatically launch, nor prevent you from loading software updates, etc.
If this does not resolve the software update problem please let us know – We will try to provide further assistance.

Windows reinstall problem when skype is used on both windows and apple os

i installed skype on the windows os partition of my macbook and it worked fine. after doing the same installation on the mac os partition i was no longer able to use skype with windows i.e. every time i selected "options" in skype my macbook rebooted. i have since removed the windows partition from my macbook hdd but am having problems reinstalling it since. can anyone help?

Having problem with correct color using Photoshop Elements 9 and Hp photosmart c6150.

Have been trying to print pictures from PSE9 to HP Photosmart C6150 and the colors are overly red and not the same as the original photo. I tried to get the ICC profile online without any success. How do I setup my color management on PSE9 and my C6150 to get the best pictures. I am using HP Premium Plus Photot Paper.

Delete the editor's preferences: quit it, then restart it (use the button in the welcome screen or organizer) while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

Problem viewing videos on YouTube - starts, then restarts and then restarts, etc. Never can watch the video.

If someone sends me a link or i go to YouTube to watch a particular video it will start, run for a second then restart and continue to do this. I will not allow the video to start and continue to the end. Seems like it is one vicious circle with no end. I have then opened Internet Explorer and opened the same video and it works fine - except i prefer Firefox and don't desire to use IE. Any help is appreciated. I will put the last one I tried in the space below.

Problem with wifi sync using both iPhone 4 and iPad 2

Ok. I've upgraded to iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5, wifi sync worked when I upgraded my iPhone 4. But, once I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 5, now niether shows up in the list on the left side. They don't show up when they're plugged in or anything. The "sync over wifi" check box under the device summary tab is checked for both as well.
So, anyone have any ideas?

I just installed yosemite on my mcb pro mid 2012 and installed win8.1 with bootcamp. now i have the problem, when i'm using windows i don't see my mac partition in the "computer" window. there is only the "bootcamp (c;) partition? what's the problem?

i just installed yosemite on my mcb pro mid 2012 with a clean install. so i only had the new os x yosemite running on my mac. everything went perfect. than i installed win8.1 with the bootcamp assistant and also everything went perfect.
But here's the Problem:
When i'm using Windows 8.1 and i go to the "Computer" window where i can find my hdd partition "Bootcamp (c;) there is only this Partition. the mac Partition is missing.
so i am not able to read the files on my mac Partition.
Before i installed yosemite and win8.1, i was running mavericks and win7 on my macbook pro and i haven't had this Problem. i was able to see and read my mac Partition also on Windows 8.1???
is there any solution for this Problem???

Problem viewing videos feeds

I'm having a problem viewing video feeds on sites like Youtube and Veoh instead of a video showing I get a icon that looks like a lego with question marks on them now how can i correct this?

That means you do not have the proper plugin installed. You need the Flash plugin.

Good external HD? Also, problems with wired TM use?

I have a multi part question here:
I recently got a new MBP and I want to get an external hard drive to use with Time Machine. Is there any sort of consensus on which external hard drives generally work well? I have a 500 GB Western Digital MyBook that has been a constant source of problems. I frequently am unable to eject it and have had to use Disk Utility many times just to get my (old Powerbook G4) computer to see it. I really don't want to get another WD product. Are there any consistently good products out there?
Also, I've just been perusing this forum. I see many people suffering with Snow Leopard and TM using wireless backup. Have there also been many problems with wired backups? I don't use wireless at home, which is where I will keep my TM backups.
Finally, I move my computer around a lot so I won't have it plugged into its TM drive most of the time. I plan on plugging it in each evening before I go to sleep. Is that an appropriate method of using TM?

Some will use TM for backups and still use CC or similar to make a clone every so often. The failure states can vary so incremental backups make sense for some problems and a bootable close covers some other risks.
If a person is really worried then a series of backups are needed with off-site storage for some or all of backups. That way the computer's data is protected from a local problems and from a site wide problem.
Each person can choose what they want to do, what they afford and how they will contain or reduce the risks. Maybe not all risks are worth dealing with. Just think it through before you commit to a solution.

When I enter a website, FireFox used to auto login and password. Now is does NOT. If I choose remember me check box, the website remembers me but I still have to enter a password. I think this is a problem created with website programming.

The problem is with most websites but not all. When I try to login to this website to ask this question, I have recorded 3 logins. Only one works, but that is a different problem. The websites used to automatically login and suddenly don't. I believe the problem is a change in programming for the website programmers. I found a solution (not a viable one) previously here that is supposed to remember login and password through a laborious process, but that is really cumbersome and doesn't always work either. Today I cannot find that process to try it. I am trying to login to ATT website which was just changed.

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

How to restric the use of Business Area and Plant in PTC module

I am facing a problem with restricting the use of Business Area and Plant in PTC module.
In this project we are trying to controle the user access or transaction as per the Business Area and Plant.
We have applied same authorisation in the PTF module.
Please help me if there is any authorisation object which give Plant and business area restrictions for all the transactions.
Note: We have already inserted two authorisations object manually -
1) F_BKPF_GSB
2) A_IMPR_GSB
but it's not working, is there any other way to restrict all the trasactions as per the Business Area and Plant.
