Problems w/ 9.0.3 Insufficient privileges to access my destination drive

After I installed it today , i am no longer able to run itunes. I am logged in as the administrator and I have all of windows latest updates. I am stumped, If anyone can help me to get back on track please do. The exact message is (The installer has insufficient privileges to access this Directory: G:\Matt's Music\CD Configuration. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator. Retry or Cancel) Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Select the disk you're trying to back the mail up to and look at the disk's format in the Finder's Get Info window; if it is listed as Windows NT Filesystem, you will need to use the Disk Utility to erase the disk before you can write to it. When reformatting the disk, you should choose MS-DOS if you need to use it with PCs, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) if you don't. If it is in another format, check the box to ignore ownership on the volume if it is present.

Adobe Error 1303.  The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Programs Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0 when trying to update Adobe Reader 10.01 on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine.  What I've found is that once I allow Adobe Updater to download updates, the 1.0 folder is created under ARM.  As long as I don't start the update, I can access this folder.  Once the update starts, if I try to access this folder I get an access denied message and the install fails with the Error 1303 message.  I've tried making myself the Owner of the folder, tried running KB947821, have disabled the Firewall and shut off the UAC, none of which works.  My guess is that there is a problem with the update itself changing the security.
Anyone have any other ideas beyond waiting for the next update, that will hopefully work better than this one?
    thanks!

I can't get new version of itunes to install on Windows 7 64 bit computer. Receive message that reads insufficient privileges to access c:\program files\ipod\bin. I've followed several threads I've read here but nothing is working.

For such situation, I'd suggest the following:
    1. Remove current installed office with the fix-it tool in
KB2739501, and follow the "Remove Office manually" section to make sure there are no remaining files
    2. Either download a trial version of Office 2013 from
    http://office.microsoft.com/, or from
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj937170
    3. Reboot your computer in clean boot mode, and run setup again

  • "insufficient privileges to access this directory C:/Program Files(x86)/iTunes/iTunes.Resources/nb.Iproj."

I'm using a Windows 8 laptop and I updated my iphone 4s software to IOS7 and of course my itunes needs updating, but when I go to update it is in vain because it comes up with the message that the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory C:/Program Files(x86)/iTunes/iTunes.Resources/nb.Iproj.
and the installation cannot continue. I have tried changing the security permissions on this file which doesn't let me as it asks that I need Read Permissions etc...
Has anyone encountered this issue, I've looked online but nothing helps for my situation

If you can't delete the .lproj folders try renaming them or deleting/renaming a parent folder, i.e. \iTunes\iTunes.Resources or \iTunes.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • TS3212 Cannot install iTunes to my PC running Windows Vista. Message "The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory....Log on as administrator." I am logged on as administrator. I am attempting to install from download by right-clicki

I've had iTunes on my PC forever. Because recent updates have aborted with the message:"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory... Log on as administrator," I am now attempting to download a fresh copy from the Apple website. Same message! I am logged on as administrator. I can download, then attempt to run by right-clicking on the installer and selecting, "Run as administrator" but that gets me only to the same point (and message) as attempting to install directly from the internet. I've never seen this message with any other download. What gives?

What's the precise name of the directory being mentioned? (Give the full file path, please.)

  • Trying to install iTunes 10.7 fails - "The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\common\files\apple\MobileDeviceSupport\Sync Services\....\Windows

I am trying to install iTunes 10.7 and keep getting this error message (I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit):
"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\common\files\apple\MobileDeviceSupport\Sync Services\....\Windows"
There seem to be other threads that deal with other permission errors, those fixes did not work for this.
    Thanks

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Insufficient Privilegies. "Access Home Page"

    Hi,
We have currently an issue with BI. Users can logon using the Single Sign On page to Oracle E-Business Suite.
Then they logon using a responsibility link to BI. After 30min to 1H, the user is timing out and can't logon again.
The user is receiving the error:
    Insufficient Privilegies. "Access Home Page"
If we restart the server, all the users can logon again normally without any issue and it could stay like that for hours.
This is really an inconsistent issue as it's happening randomly. In EM, I can see some message like:
    User XXXXX logged in
    User XXXXX logged out
The GUID for user XXXXX has changed. This could result in a catalog access issues. Please Update GUIDs and try again.
    Insufficient Privilegies. "Access Home Page"
We already refreshed the GUID. Restarted the server. Not sure how to solve this random issue.

    >E-Business Suite Expire is set to 30 minutes
If it is related to idle time! I guess you are good.

  • PLS-00904: insufficient privilege to access object

I have requested, and have been granted a different(existing)schema to work with. I will need to call functions from the new schema. However each time I attempt to call something from there I get an insufficient privilege error. If the HTMLDB application handled the request and it was assigned by the administrator, should I not have access to the objects in that schema?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike

So my next question is does every object that other users (outside of the requested schema) that need to access, have to be granted public? No ! But granting execution on a procedure is enough if the procedure has been created and compiled using definer mode => the user running the procedure gets the privileges of the procedure owner. (the "definer").
If the procedure has been created and compiled using invoker rights (PL/SQL keywords AUTHID CURRENT_USER), the procedures runs with the privileges you have been explicitely granted (not through a role).
How is defined the procedure ?
