Problems watching Adobe tutorial videos

I want to watch the Adobe video tutorials, but I find that the Adobe videos tutorials stutter and pause to such an extent that it is painful and impossible to watch. I don't have this problem with watching other videos on my machine.  (From Lynda.com, for example.)  It only occurs with Adobe videos.  Is there some setting that needs to be changed?  Can you help me?

Hi Dave,
By the way.... In going to the video, in order to give you the link, I
discovered that the videos are playing better now.  I don't know whether,
because I tried to watch them before, some of the files are downloaded onto my
hard drive already, or whether the tutorials have been done in a different
way,  since the last time I tried.  Before I would have rated them on a
"painful  to watch" scale of 1-10 as a 9 to 12.  I currently rate them as a 3 or
a  4.  (Watchable.)  In fact, I watched the entire tutorial, and found it
very helpful.  (Though I still think that maybe more tweaking of the
encoding might make things even easier.  I don't seem to have  this problem with
watching the videos from Lynda.com.
Thanks for answering my post!!  If you have some suggestions on  anything I
can do to my own settings to make these videos play better, please  let me
know.

  • Mouse problem in Adobe Presenter Video Creator

I have Adobe Presenter 9.0.2 build 173, 64-bit and I seem to have a strange thing going on in Adobe Presenter Video Creator when I use it to do screen recording to demonstrate software.
If I allow it to change my screen resolution as recommended by the application - 'change display Resolution during recording (Recommended)' - the mouse click occurrences recorded in the video occur a small distance away from where I actually clicked the mouse. So say I'm demonstrating the Ribbon in Microsoft Word 2013. If I click on the 'Home' tab on the ribbon, the video makes it look like I'm clicking on the 'Insert' tab just to the right of it.
However, if I uncheck the box  'change display Resolution during recording (Recommended)', the moue clicks in the recorded video are in exactly the correct positions. I would be happy to record in this mode but the trouble is the fonts and pixels are not as clear when I record in this way with the display resolution box unchecked as when I record with the box checked.
I'd like to know how to let Adobe Presenter Video Creator record at the recommended display resolution and have mouse clicks recorded correctly in the correct locations.
    Any ideas anyone? Thank you.

    Problem SOLVED!
On a hunch, I searched for DPI via the search function in the Windows 8 charms bar and opened the item 'make text and other items larger or smaller'. Under the heading 'Change the size of all items', I found that the slider was set exactly halfway between 'Smaller' and 'Larger' and below this, there was a checkbox titled 'Let me choose the scaling level for all my displays' which was unchecked. I put a check mark in the box and changed the scaling from the existing 'Medium - 125%' to 'Smaller - 100%'. Windows told me I had to reboot the PC to make the changes take effect. On rebooting, my desktop icons were smaller than before, confirmation that the change of DPI had taken effect.
I then made a video test with Adobe Presenter Video Creator with the 'Recording Preferences' setting 'change display resolution during Recording (recommended)' checked and to my satisfaction, ouse clicks no longer appear offset any more. And video quality in the published video looks great.
    I'm happy!

  • Problem getting Adobe TV videos to play

I'm having considerable difficulty getting most (but not all) Adobe TV videos to play. I'm using Windows 7, PSE 9. So far as I know I'm using the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player. I have both Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X version 10.3.183.7 and Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin version 10.3.183.10. The video comes up from a link in the Adobe help file. The three large dots flash but the video never begins. I've tried the start button at the bottom of the black video screen but nothing happens. I normally don't have problems with videos playing, but a number of them don't play on Video TV. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion what I might do? Thank you.

In Safari, open your Preferences, go to Advanced and check the "Show Develop menu in the menu bar"
This will add a new menu at the top.
Go to the Develop menu, User Agent and select a different choice which allows Safari to spoof different browsers, OSs and devices.
Selecting Safari for iPad usually works.
However, the choice is page specific. it doesn't stick if you go to another page, you need to repeat the procedure again.

  • Re-Watch Offline Tutorial Videos

    Hello,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section (it might be more application specific). When I open certain applications for the first time I get a tutorial video. In this case, it was iWeb. Now when I open it I do not get this video and can’t figure out how to re-watch it. I know they are available on the website, but I want to be able to access them offline, just on the Mac like when it popped up for the first time.
    Thanks for your anticipated help,
    Regards,
    PW

Thinking isn't knowing. Open /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ and delete any plist file containing iWeb in its name from that folder and any of its subfolders. I suspect that will reset everything to the default state. As for other apps, do the same thing.

  • Problem Using Adobe Sample Video Player

I've placed some of my videos flv and f4v in the vod/media and webroot/vod folders with sample files provided.  My files were checked with flvcheck and passed.  When I load the embed code into a Dreamweaver HTML file and save the page to the webroot folder as instructed, the provided sample files play in my Firefox browser.  However, when I edit the code to insert my files in strict accordance with the instructions concerning codecID and extension, I get the following message on the Browser "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested."  What's the problem?  My videos are less than 30 minutes in length and were encoded H.264 using Adobe Media Encoder and as I said passed the flvcheck.
I plan to subscribe to Adobe FMS on Amazon Web Services, but I'm not going to commit until I get some answers to the problems I've encountered.  Thanks.

    Hi,
Can you please share the html code that you used to embed the media files, so that I can have a clear understanding of what you are trying to achieve.
    Thanks.

  • I am having a problem with Adobe Presenter Video Express locking up my PC.  It requires a complete reboot to kill the program.  Anyone else?

I recently installed Presenter 10 and the Presenter Video Express locks up my PC.  I can't even end with the task manager.  I must force my PC to shut down.  Anyone else having a problem with Video Express?

Hm, that was my silver bullet. Other than doing an uninsall and then installing Presenter again, you may need to reach out to Adobe and see if they can identify what could be causing this.

  • Adobe tutorial videos full screen

When I open an adobe app on my computer(right now, it's Photoshop CC 2014), the Welcome screen invites me to watch tutorials(right now, it's "Design and Package Optimized Assets"). The tutorial has no option to play full screen.
    Or is it just me?
    Thanks

  • Problems watching strobe media videos on android handset

I use strobe media playback to play videos on a website I run. Usually members have no problems, but one user said he couldn't watch the videos on his htc mobile -  just gets the black screen.   I checked on a friends htc mobile and was getting the same problem. Can simply just see a black box where video should be, nothing else.
Would anyone know how this can be resolved, so that strobemedia playback videos can be viewed on android mobile?   Or what the problem might be?
    Thanks

  • Problem watching Slo Mo videos on Laptop

    Hi Guys,
I have imported my videos from iphone 5s to my laptop (Sony Vaio). Everything working great apart from the Slo Mo files, they attempt to play with picture and audio however it is so pixalated you can not make anything out with neon green blocks.
I use Media Player and Quicktime, neither can play these videos.
Is any one else having this issue? Thank you in advance for your help

No solution. Just mentioning this happens to me as well. 8.0.2 installed. Remember the stirring holiday commercial last year with the kid cutting together his family Christmas experiences, including slo-mo shots sledding and showing it over AirPlay? Yeah...he ain't doing that with an iPhone 6 this year.

  • OSX Yosemite version 10.10 will not play adobe tutorial videos in photoshop or online.

I tried updating flash and java with no luck.

Probably one of many new bugs introduced in Yosemite.  Apple will have to fix all those bugs.

  • Tutorial video will not stop playing...

    Dear all,
after I watch the tutorial video for a bit, (which displays on start-up), I click close...
the screen closes, but I can still hear the audio and there is no sign of it on my desktop...
any one else have this? any solutions?
    regards...

It's easy to get rid of. Quit iPhoto and launch it again. It's just weird that it happens. It's also embedded, so I don't think you can quit Quicktime since it never launches. Just a guess though.
