Problems when I publish

Hi!
I use Iweb but now when I try to publish it says unknown problem.
I recently had to replace my harddrive and I used an external harddrive for a complete backup. So in 10 min the computer was up and running again.
Everything seams to work except this.
Does anyone know what I can do?
Would be very greatful.

The error you are receiving, as you probably suspect, is meaningless. I think it's a default error message that results from iWeb, using WebDav, failing to keep a consistent upload "relationship" with the .Mac server as it publishes. Right now, the .Mac servers are taking all they can, with iWeb 2.0's release. I personally have never received publish errors since I began using 1.0 shortly after it's release--but I do now. When I try to publish, I get the same series of error messages each time, almost as if iWeb/.Mac "runs through the list" before it will grant a successful upload of the site. Immediately upon receiving the error message, I go to File/Publish to .Mac and do it again. In my case, persistence pays off.
If you don't mind a little 'aggravating leg work', here's a way to publish the site with no error messages.
From the file menu in iWeb, use the Publish to a folder command and choose your Desktop as the folder location. iWeb will deliver your site in a neat little folder on your Desktop, named for your site, and an index.html file beneath it. Since you have already published to .Mac successfully, disregard the index.html file; it already exists on the server.
Now open a window in the Finder, and navigate to the iWeb folder location on your iDisk, following this path:

Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/DropYourFolderHere
(2.0)
Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/DropYourFolderHere
Click yes for replace in the dropdown window.
Your site will be uploaded at about the same speed (maybe a little longer than a "first time publish") as a normal publish from iWeb, and with no publish errors.
Post back if you run into difficulties and I'll give all the help that I can.

Problem when installing Publisher : corrupted published_content_portlets.pt

I've installed Publisher 6.4 under Linux RedHat and I have a problem : the file "published_content_portlets.pte" has some corrupted lines, like these :

The exact problem is : after importing the PTE file published_content_portlets.pte, I cannot use the newly imported portlets.
For example, when I want to create a new portlet base on the template "News" french localized, I cannot modify this new portlet : I got a popup which told me that the template is not properly configured or files are missing.
By the way, when I open the publisher explorer, I can see all the portlets I've imported but they are not published

Problem when im publishing my flashsite

I have made a simpel site that shows three images in a row.
The problem i have is publishing part. When i try to publish it the
swf file through html the images won't show at all. But when i test
the file direcly in flash (ctrl+enter) it works fine, so i wonder
if i missed something in my code, the settings or missed something
when i was publishing it ? Here below comes code.

Tested that code (published and uploaded it to a server) -
works fine.
Wild guess: case-sensativity of the extension .jpg -> JPG
on the server?

Problem when publishing HTML5 canvas animation

Hi,
I have a problem when I publish my animation in flash cc into HTML canvas, although it works fine on my desktop, but it gets worse on tablet, the animation gets slower and the colors are darker.
I did some fixes as: removed all filters - converted the artwork objects into bitmaps - I even deleted the big BGs that have the biggest sizes.
Any help/suggestions would be very appreciated.

I'm trying to get a blog module going, I've even deleted the html insert bog with the tag in and re-published which then I don't get the error but as a result no blog either. But then I add the tag in again and publish the error comes back. I've used the dev console and it says that my musicians sample.css is out of date but why is it only out of date when I add in html to my muse site?
HELP!!!! I've searched other threads and to no avail I'm publishing so no direct ftp going on. the only thing I changed in business catalyst was the module stylesheet in order to style the blog. I've tried uploading and replacing all files nothing seems to work. the site is here:

It's only this page as it has the blog on. Also I've noticed when I've re-published occasionally it will show the mobile version on my desktop and not the desktop version??? no idea why that's happening so I've had to turn that off. any explanation on why that is happening would also be much appreciated.

I haven't received an answer as of yet, I'll post t on here when I do. I de-activated the mobile site because it's my clients site so he needs it to be operational during the day. I hope someone gives me an answer soon.

Problem with XML Publisher report when there are no detail records.

I am working on an Oracle XML Publisher procurement report (Oracle E-Business Suite R12) that starts with a budget amount that is imported from our financial system, then lists all requisitions and orders that are in process (not approved). The amounts of all those unapproved requisitions/orders are totaled using a Sum form field, to be followed by a field where the unapproved requisition/order total is subtracted from the budget amount (amount available). I am running into a problem when there are no unapproved requisitions. When I run the report for such instances, it completes with a warning -- here is what it states in the OPP log:
oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XPathException: Extension function error: Method not found 'sum'
I have altered my sum field on the RTF template to include an if statement in case of a null value...
<?sum (EXTENDED_COST)?> <?xdofx:if sum (EXTENDED_COST) = " then 0 end if?>
...but this does not work.

You are on right track. Simply put summary field in header group and remember to set reset at property to Header Group Not Child and now you can use this field in format trigger.
Format trigger must be written on header frame.

DSS problems when publishing large amount of data fast

Has anyone experienced problems when sending large amounts of data using the DSS. I have approximately 130 to 150 items that I send through the DSS to communicate between different parts of my application.
There are several loops publishing data. One publishes approximately 50 items in a rate of 50ms, another about 40 items with 100ms publishing rate.
I send a command to a subprogram (125ms) that reads and publishes the answer on a DSS URL (app 125 ms). So that is one item on DSS for about 250ms. But this data is not seen on my man GUI window that reads the DSS URL.
My questions are
1. Is there any limit in speed (frequency) for data publishing in DSS?
2. Can DSS be unstable if loaded to much?
3. Can I lose/miss data in any situation?
4. In the DSS Manager I have doubled the MaxItems and MaxConnections. How will this affect my system?
5. When I run my full application I have experienced the following error Fatal Internal Error : ”memory.ccp” , line 638. Can this be a result of my large application and the heavy load on DSS? (se attached picture)

Does it work better if you use the serial port(s) on your motherboard?
If so, then get a better serial adapter. If not, look more closely at
VISA.
Some programs have some issues on serial adapters but run fine on a
regular serial port. We've had that problem recent
ly.

Chart problems when publishing to Crystal Enterprise

Hi All,
I am currently experiencing Chart problems when publishing to Crystal Enterprise. My reports work fine in Crystal Developer but when I publish these to Enterprise, the charts do not show any data, although the numbers come across fine.
Any suggestions?

Hi Marcbo,
Just try to publish the report with no data option to enterprise.
Change the type of viewer to HTML or DHTML.
Some times reports dont work with activex viewer.
In general charts dosent throw any problem.

This option is available when your publish target is set to AIR 3.6.
You can download the desired AIR SDK version from Archived Adobe AIR SDK versions

Audio problems when swf is published

I searched the forum for this problem, but did not find a comparable issue. I apologize if this post is redudant!
I am adding audio voice-overs to my flash animations, which will be later added to a Captivate project and published in total. Since the audio will be processed in Captivate, I do not want any compression of my wav file. So I've inserted my wav file...and when I test the file from the library panel, it sounds just fine. When I publish the swf, it sounds like it has been run through the compressor of death! It sounds terrible. In my library panel I have set the the compression of the wav file to "raw", as that is the uncompressed setting. Also, I am using Flash CS4. I have rendered the wav file from both Audacity and Soundbooth with the same results.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, have you found a solution?

Duh! I found the problem. Even though I had selected compression settings for the audio file in the library panel, the global settings in the "publish settings" were overriding the settings. Everything is cool now, and I'm back in my "happy place".

Problems overwriting when I publish to a folder

When I publish to a folder the updated content of my website I get an error message like "files can be damaged or you don´t have enough privileges to do this". I have to delete all the folder and publish it again in a new folder.
Does anyone know how to solve it?

Publishing to a folder is all or nothing.
Either say yes to replace the folder or publish to another location and only replace the page (including the folder that's used by that page) you updated.
As an added note, you should never put custom stuff in such a folder after publishing.

Problems when publishing site...

First of all, this is the first website I have built. When I preview the site in a browser, the site works perfectly. However, when I publish the site, it is all messed up. Some images are not present, video links now show a blank spot, images dont function (lightbox), and my media player dissapears completely when I click on the images. If the site previews correctly, is it just something I am doing wrong on the publishing side or might it still be my coding?

All you XML Gurus here. I have a problem, When i create a report in XML Publisher desktop i can see a graph im putting into the report on preview and works fine. But when i upload the report as a rtf file into Oracle applications i can see everything else the table logo and stuff .. But just not the Graph Itself when run on the concurrant manager....
Problem number 2
Is there a way that i can use XML Desktop and create a line graph with 2 lines rather than 1 plotting
