FIRST OF ALL: sorry for my bad english
since i've buyed my black macbook...immediately when i press the power button the screen flashes a gray screen...and after this it boots normally..
what is? i can fix it? O.o
but... from yesterday it don't boot!

but...no apple logo with loading icon! the screen is black and i have to reset the PRAM for start the mac

I just recieved 2 days ago a macbook on the first time i turned it on the screen would flash make a MMMMmmm noise and then start normally , i dont think this is somthing normal i called for technical support and they didnt know what it could be i did the whole taking the battery out and pressing the power button for 5-10 seconds then putting the battery back in but it still makes that flash and noise when i go to turn it on somtimes its bad and somtimes its not a long flash <-- is anyone else having a similar problem , what could this be ?
What has other people done ?

What is the problem when I turn on my macbook and all I get is a picture of a file folder with a question mark in it?

First my Macbook is almost 5 yrs old and is probably on it's last leg. The other day it froze and was making some pretty loud clicking noises. I turned it off by holding down the power button and tried starting it up again. At that point the screen was just blue and the noise came back on. Then a file folder appeared in the middle of the screen with a question mark in it. Does this mean the hard drive crashed or something? We blew a hard drive once before (though it didn't happen like this) but I just wanted to check before I go to the store. If it's something that is bad then I may just be sending this one to the grave and replace it with an iPad. Any insight into this problem would be appreciated. Thanks.

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

Any or all of the following third-party system modifications may be contributing to your problem:

If the panic is recurrent, I suggest you uninstall them, one at a time, according to the developers' instructions, to see whether you can identify which one is at fault. A conflict among two or more of the modifications may be involved. Reboot and test after each uninstallation.
Back up all data before making any changes.

Xperia ZL - when I turn the screen image is not shown

I speak Spanish but try to leave the message in English too. SPANISH: Mi celular ZL presenta un problema, cuando enciendo la pantalla esta no muestra imagen. En otras palabras, la pantalla se ve negra. Esto sucede de forma aleatoria. Si tengo el celular en reposo (pero encendido) (por ejemplo en mi bolsillo o sobre mi escritorio) y quiero utilizarlo, presiono el botón de encendido, pero la pantalla no muestra imagen, el brillo de la pantalla enciende, el tactil funciona pero la imagen no se muestra. Cuando esto sucede, si presiono el botón de encendido 2 veces vuelve a presentar la imagen (la primera vez es como bloquear-apagar la pantalla, la segunda es como volverla a encender). Esto sucede de forma aleatoria entre días. También sucede al querer finalizar una llamada telefónica y separarlo de mi rostro la pantalla no muestra ninguna imagen lo que no me permite finalizar la llamada. También sucede de forma aleatoria cada tanto tiempo. Aunque suceda de forma aleatoria, es molesto y deseo encontrar solución al problema. He restablecido a datos de fabrica muchas veces y no se ha solucionado el problema. Soy de Colombia(país de latinoamerica) y la versión del sistema que tengo es Android 4.2.2 compilación 10.3.A.0.423. Via OTA y por PC Companion no aparece alguna nueva actualización. Grey color change When i turn on my computer

I have a strange problem When i turn on my computer. The screen is grey bit suddenly turns to otee just for a second and the Apple logo turns pink, after the screen returns grey and everythings is ok. Why happens this? Must i send my computer to repair ir not?

Everytime you use your computer there are risks. Reason why you should have backups. Do you? Zapping the pram is easy as long as you follow the directions per the link that was given to you. If you not want to try the troubleshooting solutions for fear of making a mistake, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. If you have Apple Care, call them and get a case number.

"font" problems when converting InDesign file to negative

the printing service we use for our college newsletter, which is done in InDesign CS3, says he is having "font problems" when he turns the file into a negative (the master used for printing paper copies of the newsletter). I use only a standard font, "Times," in various sizes.
he did not have this problem with InDesign CS2, and he is as yet unable to explain exactly what the problems are but said there are 3 pieces of equipment involved that each contribute to the problem: old vs new operating systems (OS) in RIP unit and workstation to newest applications and older RIP unit. (I haven't a clue what any of this means...)
he has asked we create an "outline" of the InDesign file before sending it and believes doing that may help. however, when I create an outline of the document, all of the font turns bright red-- is this what is supposed to happen or am I doing something wrong?
can anyone help me figure out how to help the printer?

The .sitx file extension is a Stuffit executable, a way of compressing files so that they take less time to transfer. This has nothing to do with your problem.
What I'm recommending is that you Export PDF (File > Export > Adobe PDF). Choose the Press Quality preset and send the resulting PDF to your printer. Scott's suggestion will give you a PDF with outlined type, but before you go that route, try a Press Quality PDF, which will have live type and embedded fonts.
The best reason for sending PDF to your printer is to avoid font problems.

How do I stop Firefox from creating untitled web pages when I try to send email from a web page. The only way I have found is to turn the computor off and then reboot. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer

Every time I click on a web site that has an email option the browser starts making untitled web pages and never stops unless I turn the computer off. It is very frustrating to not be able to use an email option when offered by a web site. The only way I can send email messages on the Firefox browser is to go into my hotmail acct. and copy and paste the addresses. I don't have this problem when I use the Internet Explorer browser.

Hi I have been having a problem with Bridge in CS4 recently. So uninstalled CS4 and Lightroom 4.4 and reinstalled them on my Desktop PC. When I turned on Bridge through CS4, My thumb nail images disappeared and a thumb nail icon with CR2 appeared. Now some of my images have disappeared from Light room 4.4, but I can find them in CS4 and Bridge now shows some thumb nails as images and some as an icon with CR2. I don't use LR and rarely use the bridge so I can not answers about thumbnails in them, However thumbnails in windows file explorer and windows dialog for CS2 files will only show if you have installed codec into windows that will produce them. Windows does not do CR2 thumbnails on its own. I use FastPictureViewer Codec package for RAW File and PSD files thunbmail support.

Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!

Please a simple problem but I don't know how to solve it. After installing 16 gb of ram all is good but when I turn on the computer it is a window signaling that all is correct. How is possible to delete once and for all that window? Thank you

Well then maybe you could take a screenshot because the appearance of such a window is news to me.

To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse or trackpad. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.
