Problems when registering

Hi, I bought a second hand copy of DVD studio Pro 4 (retail). It came with all the original documentation, dvd, advertising, serial number and the like. All in his original box.
The problem is when I try to register it. Everything goes well, the S/N is correctly recognized and the application starts up, but it seems that the registering information is not saved. If I look in the about screen it says "UNLICENSED" and if I restart the app I must reenter all the informations from the start. Any suggestions?

OK: we managed to solve it, so I will post here the solution, so that it may be helpful for someone else.
The file to thrash is called "DVD Studio Pro System ID" in ./library/Application Support/ProApps/
After you trash it, you have to reenter the registration S/N, then it goes.

I've just bought a second hand Macbook Pro, Unibody Mid 2009 Model, which is still under warranty until Dec 2010. I also bought an AppleCare box (with sealed box, not like stuffs on eBay). But when I come to Apple Website to add AppleCare to my laptop I got this error:
"We're sorry, but we are unable to complete your request at this time. Please check your information and try again, or contact us."
I called to AppleCare support line and a guy asked me the serial number of the laptop, then he checked and said the laptop is registered under someone else's name, so that I can't add AppleCare under my Apple Id.
I asked the seller but he said he has no idea cause he got this one from his friend... bla bla..
Do you have any idea about this problem?
How can I add AppleCare to my laptop?

Given the circumstances, I think the onus is upon you to track down who was the original (and warranty registered) owner. Apple is not going to change anything based purely on your word (I'm not saying you are saying anything untrue, but from their perspective, the only factual information they have is the original warranty registration).
As long as the machine is listed with someone else's name and contact information, there will be no way to register the AppleCare.
Apple does allow for the transfer of warranties when items are sold person-to-person, but the original owner has to do it.
P.S. this is taken from Apple's warranty PDF, and explains the process of how to transfer a warranty
"6. Transfer of Plan
Subject to the restrictions set forth below, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of
your rights under the Plan to another party, provided that: (a) the transfer must include the original
Proof of Purchase, the Plan's Certificate and all of the Plan's packaging material, including printed
materials and these Terms and Conditions; (b) you notify Apple of the transfer by sending, faxing or
e-mailing notice of transfer to Apple Inc., ATTN: Agreement Administration, MS: 217AC, 2511

Problem when register parameter for conc program through backend

Hi all,
i register the executable and corresponding conc program through backend.
But when i tried to register the parameter from backend using fnd_program.paramter procedure i got many error.
So can any of u guys help me out to find my ways ,how to successfully register parameter thoregh backend.

The fnd_program.parameter call that you have is passing values for all of the necessary procedure parameters. To me, that means that the errors you are getting are related to the data that you are passing into the call.
Possible errors with the values you are passing (I cannot tell because I don't know what data you have in your environment) are:
- invalid program short name
- invalid application name (needs to be the full application name rather than the short name)
- parameter with same sequence already exists
- value set does not exist
- you can only specify tokens for certain types of concurrent programs (ie Oracle Reports)
Just running the anonymous PL/SQL block like you have shown, the errors that are preventing it being saved should be displayed.

A Problem when registering Quicktime Pro

When I filled out the registration key in the boxes provided another window came up redirecting me back to the download site. Foolishly I deleted this page and waited for quicktime to upgrade. Nothing happened. What do I do now?

Use copy/paste from the email into the QuickTime Registration window.
Name and number must match exactly and it's too easy to enter a 0 where an O is used.

Is the English sim from the original carrier as that is usually the message you get with a carrier locked phone.

EPrint problems with registering and trying to sign in

I have a HP Photosmart 6510 printer. I have installed the disk that came with it onto my desktop and also my laptop. I also installed the apps that were recommended on my iPad3 and iPhone4S. I believe that I have done everything correctly and I registered my printer with HP and open an account with ePrint. Here lies the problem, when I try to sign into ePrint it will not do anything. I have tried clicking on the sign in button on all 4 units and nothing. So now I go to the internet and try using the HP web site to get to ePrint which I can. I try to sign in there and I get an error message telling me that my password is incorrect. It tells me to enter my correct password or if I have forgotten my password to click here and it will send password to email that was used to open account. So I try to have password sent. When I enter my email address and hit submit it tells me to use the email address that was used to set up account. I have checked over and over again and the email address is correct. I can sign into my HP account without a problem, I can't get into ePrint. So I figure I will try as if I did not have an account in ePrint. I enter my name, email address and password and it tells me that the email address is not available as it is in use, no kidding, it is mine, but it will not permit me to sign in. It seems like there is a problem with the software for this program. Any ideas. I really like the print jobs that come off this printer. I have no problem printing within my home, but when I go out, that is where the problems start. I was able to send a picture to printer and I received an email telling me to go to ePrint to check on the status, well here we go again, I can't get sign into ePrint. I can't even find on HP website where I can go to get help. Please help

It may be that you have a SnapFish.com account. Alot of long time customers of HP have SnapFish.com accounts and do not realize it. One of the printer software releases signed customers up automatically, and most people did not know, or forgot, because they never used it. Try going to SnapFish.com and using the forgot password link at the log in screen there. Once you have the password reset, go to ePrintCenter.com and use the SnapFish.com log in information to log in. If that does not help you may need to contact SnapFish.com directly to have them delete the account, or use a different email to register with.

Problem when I upload txt files to the server

Hi, I have a problem when I try to upload files to the server, and I can't understand the fail.
My case is:
I have a jsp page where a from is.
This form is sended to a servlet that proccess its content and upload the attach file to the server.
It works correctly (it uploads the files, txt, xls and csv), the problem is when I try to upload a txt file like this, for example:

101     40When I verify the uploaded file, this one has a character extra of return of line (a small square). This character prevents me from working then correctly with the file, on having detected a column of more.
Which can be the problem?

My problem is same that I have to upload a CSV file from Client Machine (Windows) to Unix Application Server.
I am using JSP method post and multipart/form-data (as in http://www.roseindia.net/jsp/file_upload/Sinle_upload.xhtml.shtml).
The file is uploaded fine but the problem is it displays carraige Return (^M) a square boxes on Unix file.
I can't ask user to convert file to Unox format before uploading. They just convert excel file to CSV and upload.
Is there any way I can get rid of these characters as I have to use this file further.
Sorry, I can't use any paid utility or tool for it.

If you are trying to create a Tuxedo service in Java using WTC you need to develop an EJB that implements the TuxedoService interface and register its home in JNDI so WTC can look it up. Once that is done you can then export the service to a remote domain in the WTC configuration.

Yes I have YemuZip & it works but need something that is either menu or automated. I have tried to use automator to automatically archive a .dat file when I add it to the folder where these files are stored...but can't get it to work. I haven't used automator before.
I have the workflow done but it will only run when I go to the menu & select the workflow - I though the whoel point was that it was automatic?
Anyway if YemuZip is the only way I can do it I guess I will have to wear it - I thought it may be a simple thing to alter the way OS X handles the compression...

Hyperion Workspace give authentication error when registering.

Please check whether you have carried out these steps. Because I had the same problem and I resolved it.
1. I reckon you would have installed OWB and OEM.
2. In OEM if you are using the default SYSMAN user for running jobs, you should create the user SYSMAN in the OWB schema and assign the role SYSDBA, DBA AND OEM_MONITOR.
3. If you created a new user in OEM to run the jobs, you should create the user in OWB schema and assign the roles SYSDBA, DBA & OEM_MONITOR.
4. Then under your Windows NT/2000, create the OEM user and assign the user the rights "Logon as Batch Job to Run" previlege.
5. Configur OEM preferred credintials for NODE, DATABASE with proper values. The NODE user/password must be the one you have created under step 4.
6. Configur OWB with the OEM user. This can be done under Projects/Preferences, selecting OEM tab. The user/password must be thesame as under step 4.
If you do these things, not necessarily in the order mentioned, you should be able to run the jobs.

I have a problem when in was trying to start the weblogic server from the
Weblogic Console.It Loads all the necessary files and finally it comes out
giving an error "Server start message not received in allotted time, server
process killed.".
But at the same time i can start the server cooly by running the
"Wlserver.exe".Can any help me on this problem

I'm quite sure that this is a time out problem. I need about 3 minutes to start
up my weblogic server. It's no problem to start it from a command prompt
(startWeblogic.cmd), but using weblogic console application I always got a time
out after 120 seconds. On a faster computer, where the start up process can be
finished in less then 120 seconds it was no problem to start the server with the
same amount of EJBs.
Does anyone know how to increase the time out parameter for the weblogic console
application?

problem. I had to shut down my X Server; if you don't know what the XServer is,
it's (basically) the app that runs a window manager. It was consuming toomuch
of my processing time. WL is now the only thing running on that machine.
Since you have NT, You may want to try shutting down all uneccesarydevices and
app's.

Problem by register a XMLSchema

I have a problem to register or import a new schema into XML DB.
I use Database 10g and the Oracle Enterprise Console.
I checked my schema with XMLSpy.
The schema is valid.
When I click on the bottom 'Create', I received the following error:
ORA-31154: invalid XML document
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA_INT", line 0
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA", line 26
ORA-06512: at line 2'
What can I do?
It is possible to ignore the error message

Problem de-registering graphite cordless handset f...

Hoping someone might be able to help.
I bought a BT2500 quad base cordless handset set. I then re-gistered an old BT Griphite handset to the base station. However, as I can't get all functions on the old handset, i bought a 5th BT2500 handset. However, the base station only takes a maximum 5 handsets, so I need to de-register the Grphite before I can register the new one. Problem, when I try to de-register the Graphite handset it fails everytime. I'm trying to do it by: Advanced Settings>De-register>OK (the left hand soft key)...it just take me back to the Advanced Settings menu and doesn't de-register the handsets. Anyone have any idea how to get this sorted?
