Problems when trying to update my iPod.

I bought the software update 2.0 for ipod touch and downloaded it but when i try to install it, iTunes just closes.
The error i get is: "tunes has found an error and needs to be closed."
There is no option to keep itunes running.
Someone please help me.

I've got the same problem on a new Core Solo Mini. I got this thing because I've heard great things about MacOS, and I really like it, but there are like 4 or 5 huge bugs that are hurting my enjoyment of this little machine.
Does Apple choose to fix major bugs sooner or later?

So I was trying to update my iTouch 3g to iso 5 by using iTunes 10.5 and it haven't been working. then later I re-installed my iTunes and it is already the latest version but I still can't update my iTouch 3g to anything newer than 4.2.1. It appears that you really have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. If you have a 8 or 16 GB iPod it is rally a 2G iPod. A 32 GB one can be either. To identify yours see:

Thank you for replying. Enclosed is a picture where can be seen the motor address. This case is for motor 1, for motor 2 would be number 2 and 3 for motor 3. It works if I run the programs one by one. Anyway I enclose the generic example without any manipulation by myself.

Error (-43) occurs everytime I try to update my iPod, so I would like to know more about what it is.

Try moving the existing backup file to a safe location so iTunes has to create an entire new one. The file is located here:
The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

I'm getting an error when trying to update my ipod through Itunes (1413)

I have a black 30gb ipod video, Itunes tells me that a newer version of the Ipod software is available (1.2) so I click update. I get an error saying The iPod "IPOD" could not be updated. An unknown error occured (1413).

did you have any trouble when you were installing itunes? in particular, did you run into trouble during the "registering modules" phase of the install?

I keep receiving this error: "the application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem" when trying to update program that use adobe AIR (vudu-to-go)

This issue happens when an older version of Adobe Story is already installed on a system.
To resolve this issue you will have to first remove that version and then install the latest one.
Now depending upon which system you are using, below are the steps:
MAC:
Open 'Applications' folder in Finder.
Move 'Adobe Story' application to Trash and remove it from Trash too.
Just to make sure that this application is not installed on a different drive, do a search for 'Adobe Story' in spotlight. If it is present on a different location, then remove it from there too.
Now log into story.adobe.com and download the desktop application again and install it.
WINDOWS:
Open Controls Panel and uninstall Adobe Story application
Now log into story.adobe.com and download the desktop application again and install it

Installation problems when trying to update from 7.7.4 to release 7.7.5.

I had installation problems trying to go from Qtime level 7.7.4 to new version 7.7.5 I get an error message after the download and on the reinstall. It basically tells me to download and install manually. Tried this (even running as administrator and get another error message basically telling me the same thing to download and install manually. Anyone have the same thing happen and if so how did you get it fixed?

I'm having a similar problem. I get a message stating that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". It allows me to enter an alternate path a folder containing the installation package (Quick Time.msi). No matter which msi I point it to, I get the same message. I have to cancel out of the installation. I'm trying to get current so I can purchase Quick Time Pro. Anyone know what "feature" it's looking for?

T43 bios problem when trying to update OS

I need help fast please. I know this probably isn't the smartest thing ever but my T43 is currently running XP Pro and I am trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1 I have checked everywhere and it all says that the computer will handle running it. However, I have been told that i need to change my BIOS settings to allow for it to run from the dvd drive instead of the hard drive.
How do I do this?

Problem when trying to update Nokia Maps 2.0

Hello, I have installed Nokia Maps 2.0, however, the Nokia Store informs me that there is an update to the Maps application. After installing the update the application remains the same and the Nokia Store returns to inform me that there is an update.
Basically: installs, but not installed.
Some technical details:
Nokia Maps 3.09 (8)
Store Nokia Beta 3.24 (53)
The 'Check in' has disappeared from the menu and the Widget Gallery
In the list of installed applications, do not see any application of Nokia Maps
All applications work correctly, unless the update
The memory on the phone is 96 MB

Ok make sure you have iTunes 11. Then connect iPod touch to computer then iTunes should pop up automatically. After it opens on the bottom left there should be a tab where it says your name and then iPod. For example (Johns iPod) click on that then it brings all your information of the iPod including restore and updating.

You need to delete some item (apps, music, photos etc) from the iPod,.However, sometime files get corrupt. To determine that connect the iPod to your computer and click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes. How much storage is used by the "other" category. If over 1 1/2 GB that indicates corrupted files.
To get the "other" down to normal value you need to restore your iPod usually restoring from backup works but sometimes restoring to factory settings.new iPod is required./
