Problems with 6021/pc suite

*pc suite 6.6.18
*Belkin USB bluetooth dongle (model F8T009, 10 metre range (yes, I am well within range))
*Win XP home SP2
I bought a nokia 6021 on 25/10/05. the bluetooth function worked fine till a few days ago, although I’d only used sync & sending texts from my pc. Then I found that when I enabled b.tooth on fone no icon appeared on fone screen, but sync & txts still worked. I took it to have the software reinstalled/upgraded – icon appears & it worked ok for a few hours then the following problems started:
1) If I try to connect to internet via pc suite - “no modem found”
2) If I try to connect to internet from the fone i get "packet data connection not available" then that's replaced by "connection not available"
*I've downloaded standard settings (via nokia.co.uk) for
-Mobile browsing (WAP/GPRS settings)
-Multimedia messaging (MMS settings)
-Internet access point (Internet settings)
3) nokia audio manager – “no supported phone connected”
4) sometimes can’t synchronize, sometimes can’t send text messages
5) occasionally phone lights up & “pc disconnected” appears on screen, even though bluetooth is enabled. if this happens the connection sometimes works but is v. slow, sometimes fails
I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled bluetooth software & pc suite – either doesn’t make any difference or only works for a while before going wrong again.
i've just tried again to synchronize & found that NOTHING is working in pc suite - when i open pc suite it has "no phones connected" at bottom left, but when i try to get connected i get part way through the wizard the i get an error message "cannot use connection type. check all needed hardware, software & drivers are available". if i try to send text i get the phone selector dialog box with no phones listed. first time either of these has happened! Rebooted & still nothing working, though pc suite has “nokia 6021 connected via bluetooth at bottom left” & the error messages are different this time!
i called the shop where I bought fone – they’re saying it must be my pc, but if it is why did the bluetooth icon disappear from the fone?
anyone got any ideas about any of this?

No, it's not as simple as that (see my original post). some functions don't work at all & there seems no pattern to when sync & txts do work, although reboot does help sometimes.
I have the free Sygate Firewall (version 5.6.0.2808) & the Bluetooth Stack COM Server is allowed. I’d already thought it might be the firewall, but couldn’t see how if the bluetooth is allowed in it. (the XP firewall is disabled).
in control panel/bluetooth configuration/local configuration it lists the b.tth serial port as being on COM 3, but on the next tab, control panel/bluetooth configuration/client application it’s listed as being at COM 4
in control panel/bluetooth devices there are no devices listed at all, even though b.tth IS working partly, some of the time.

Sync problems with 6021

I am having problems with moving the contacts on my 6021 to MSOutlook.
I am on Windows XP, service pack 1
I have PC Suite that came with the phone 6.5 12
I am using infra red connection.
I recently upgraded from a Nokia 6230i to a 6021.
The contacts in the 6230i were in a mess as they had been copied from the sim to the phone memory and I had lost the multiple numbers against each name in favour of the multiple names, just the name with the first or only number, then name followed by a 1 for the second number, 2 for third. I did this to give me more space for numbers, not realising the full effect!
Soon after I got the 6021 I moved the sim across so I could use the new phone even though it did not have all my contacts on it.
I wanted to take the 6230i contact list into Outlook via PC Suite, reorganise and then upload to 6021, this worked for the numbers on the (6230i) phone, but not the sim. I reorganised in Outlook and then tried to get the rest of the numbers into outlook to complete the process.
Not very successful, but I now have all the numbers in the 6021, but they are in a mess. Not sure how I got them all across to the new phone!!
My problem is now I try and get the transfer from 6021 phone (all details option selected on PC Suite) and the 269 names come over, but only the 99 numbers for the original batch from the 6230i phone, the remaining names just have the numbers.
What suggestions as to what I should do to get all the numbers over? Then I have to reorganise and load back to the 6021!

have you checked the PC Sync "vie last log" option ? It should list in detail what was synchonised from phone to Outlook.
the problem may be that the phone number field you have used in phone is not matching with the Outlook field and gets synced for example as some "other" phone number and is not visible in Outlook in default view.

Sent messages problem with 6021

I have brand new 6021 - the memory of the phone is by default half empty.
In the settings I have enabled the option of save sent messages.
However, this does not happen. Simply, sent messages are not saved. Up to only one message is saved - on the sim card. After that, the phone simply does not register sent messages.
With the inbox, everything works fine.
I tried reset to factory settings, and other options, but unfortunately nothing is working.
ANy idea how can I activate this function?? And what might be the cause of the problem?

Those message usually indicates, that your in an area with a weak wifi or cellular data signal. I speak from experience as this is the only I see that message pop up on my phone.

Problem with connectivity ovi suite

Hello,
I have trouble with connectivity with ovi suite program connected by USB cable. If I connect my phone to PC with cable- PC find my phone, no problem; in phone is written USB nokia ovi suite. Then I open ovi suite program in PC and nothing happened, connection error- please set on your phone nokia suite but I have.
When I tried to connect to PC trough Bluetooth there is no problem. Could you help me, please?

I am not sure whether this will solve your problrm but you could try this once.
1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
6. Restart the computer if prompted.
7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.
If this does not help could you please provide more information on this?

Problem with n95 pc suite music manager

when i load up pc suite and click on music manager to transfer music files from my pc to my phone it shows up for about 10 secs and automatically closes by itself, every other one is fine except install applications which does the same thing but i can update my contacts, view images, messages and the lot apart from music manager and applications, so basically i cant transfer any music on to my phone now plus i even tried uninstalling the old version and installing the updated version of pc suite but its still same thing.

if you use file transfer...it should be on your memory card where the files should be save...and if you are using n95 8GB...you can then try to move the files from memory to your phone's internal memory...but i think..music player is smart enough to display all the music files transferred to your mobile...not unless file is not supported...that's the case with my n73ME..all music file i transferred can all be seen in the music player..i suggest you just refresh library...or move the files to folder where other music files visible in the music library...good luck

Problems with Installation Creative Suite 5.5 - Acrobat 10 serial number not valid

Hi,
at the end of the Creative Suite 5.5 Re-Installation it says installation of Adobe Acrobat failed. I believe this is because of a wrong serial number. How can this happen, when all other programm parts (Indesign, Photoshop) are working with the same serial number ? A week ago I had to restore the system (Win7 64 bit) with windows restore point. What is the solution to all this trouble ?

PC Suite only allows sms restore via a backuped .nbu/backup.arc file.
A workaround: to keep a copy on the phone, you can convert the saved sms on your pc to a .txt or .pdf and save it to your phone.

Problem with Oracle Developer Suite 10g

I have installed Oracle Developer Suite 10g. When I try to open the rdf file with the report builder, the error message "REP-0756: Warning: Unable to find PL/SQL library 'SHARE_RP'" shown.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!

A PROBLEM WITH Live Effect Suite

I just using the TwirlFilter to learn the Live effect suite. just find a problem in it. when aply an effect the "AI Live Effect Go Live" will be call twice!!!!
the first was called when

the other was when finished doing it.and this time the message' artwork is a little at rect at the bottom of the page which was don't creat by user!!!!!
so ,how can igore it?

The second time, it is being called to render the thumbnail being displayed in the appearance palette. If you hide the appearance palette or hide the thumbnail (choose "Hide Thumbnail" from the palette's flyout menu), then you should see the second call disappear. Most live effects have no reason to ignore it.

IMac, Mavericks, Problem with Perfect Photo Suite 8,

their plug ins not showing in Lightroom 5. Their solution to install involved following: Path: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/LightRoom/Modules, There is no Modules folder there, onOne tech support says there should be. Tried reinstall, did not solve problem.

PS - Lightroom officially supports installing plugins:
* Via 'Add' (in place) in the plugin manager.
* Via plugin installers (which know to create the 'Modules' folder if it does not already exist).
That said, it is possible (although not officially supported) to manually create the 'Modules' folder and put plugins in it..
This should shed some light on why the 'Modules' folder may not be there - i.e. if you've never created it yourself, nor run a plugin installer which creates it, it won't be there.
The other possibility: you've got the parent path wrong (fingers crossed).

Deep problem with starting SOA suite when network interface is up......

By accessing. I mean accessing them through thier network ip address through ssh or an xterm or any other network service the zone is running.
say I have all 3 zone running each in a xterm.
I click on zone 1 or global zone and both this 2 xterm windown respond and I can run commands.
If I swich to the zone 2 zterm, zone 1 and global zone freeze, and zone 2 takes 30 sec - 1 min to start responding.
If I am in a ssh session instead of a xterm the ssh session will stop responding and session will get disconnected.

Problem with download Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium trial

I have downloaded Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Trial but at the end of the download it brings up this error message: "Error extracting the product installer (error 101). Check for available disk space on your system and try downloading the product again." I am using a Dell laptop. I definitely have ample disk space. I don't want to download the product again as it has taken many hours and 3.6 GB to download. Please help! Thanks

Did you customize the location for the trial to download? We often times see this happen when users select their Program Files folder to download the install files too. I would recommend trying to download to your user folder or desktop.

Depending your phone you can update it either from phone itself (update section) or using Nokia Software updater.

Problem with Oracle SOA Suite/BPM Suite VirtualBox Appliance

I have installed this virtual machine.
Following the instructions and after discovering that password o root and oracle are diferent than indicated in the documentation, when I login as Oracle I do not get the menu 1- Start WLS Servers, 2- Stop WLS Servers, 3-Check server status, etc) as indicated in the documentation. Instead I get the usual Linux pormpt.
What command may I execute in order to get menu ?

I would like to know why the menu doesn't automatically start when login. And as an alternative, how may I run it.
