Problems With Batch Actions

I have two actions that I built. They have worked fine for the past several months to a year.. Now all of a sudden the action will not work when run on a batch but it will work when run on a single photo. any ideas? I'm not even sure where to begin to start trouble shooting this problem.

I'm using cs6 which is the same version the actions were created in. I use two different actions. The first one resizes a photo and the second one adds a frame around the photo with our company logo on it. the second one is the one that is not working. It works fine on a single photo but not on the batch action. I've attached a sample. The first one was run on a single photo and the second one was run on a batch.

Problem with PDF Actions in SAP MII 12.2

hi all,
I'm trying to generate PDF documentation work in 12.2 version of MII. Below are the steps followed as per note 1325997
I've downloaded the PDF Actions files:
Downloaded the iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar files.
Custom action updated with PDFActions.jar as the assembly .jar file, and iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar as the dependency .jar files and Deployed the custom action.
Workbench does show up with PDF action blocks like PDF Document, PDF Table...etc but seems to be an issue as these do not look like the standard actions with no icons attached to them.
I've tried to create a new transaction and include any actions to the sequence, but no luck as it doesn't assigns the PDF action
i've downloaded iText.Jar and iTeaxtAsian.jar files from iTEXT website. please inform if exact version i-e 1.4.5 files
are available on SAP downloads (if any).
Is anything missing..?
Appreciate any efforts.....

Hi Zaigham,
Follow the steps as mentioned below.
1. Download PDFActions.jar as per SAP Note 1109054.
2. Download iText 1.4.5 from http://www.java2s.com/Code/Jar/i/Downloaditext145jar.htm
3. Download iTextAsian (Latest Version) from http://sourceforge.net/projects/itext/files/
extrajars --> extrajars 2.0.zip
After you unzip the files take only itext-asian.jar
4. Rename itext-1.4.5.jar to iText.jar
5. Rename itext-asian.jar to iTextAsian.jar
6. Zip all the three files (PDFActions.jar, iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar) to one zip file and name it PDFActions.zip
Final Step --> upload and deploy the zip file PDFActions.zip in MII custom Actions.

Problem with batch in outbound delivery

Hi gurues...I´m newby in SD and I have the followin problem.
I confirm an outbound delivery that need a batch, without the batch.
Obviously I can´t post goods receipt, but when i do the shipment,
it creates the bill but it don´t post goods receipt because it says that i need a batch in the position. How can i do to avoid that the shipment creates the billing without the batch??????.....

Here I am giving you more idea batch determination so that it will be more easy for you to correct the isue as you are new.
On batch determination, the whole process, how it is determined automatically in the order.
1) Normally we use batch determination at delivery level, because at the time of order material may or may not be created. For this material should be configured with batch and batch determination should be checked in sales views of material.
2) A2) Batch Determination during order Creation.
For this you need to maintain Classes d for you Material. Depending on the Manufacturing process you can define the characteristics for your material.
Ex: Purity for Medicines, Resistance for Electric Items.
You need to create a class (You might have to create a new class type) which incorporates the characteristic.
First Create the Characteristic Using Ct04 and then using Cl02 create the Class including this characteristic.
Then in your material master Classification View Enter this class.
Then Create a Batch for the particular plant and Stor Loc using MSC1N.Give the value of the characteristics in this batch.
Then go to SPRO ->Logistics General ->Batch Management and maintain the Condition Technique (Procedure, Strategy Types and assignment to sales docs etc).
Then Create the Batch Determination Record using VCH1.

Problems with running Actions in PsCC

I am runnning PsCC version 14.2 x64 on a PC and have been for over 6 months. I never had problems with actions before but now I can create them, but not run them.
I get the following message: "This will toggle the state of all dialogs in this action set. It is not undoable". Whether I click ok or cancel, I still can't run the action. And clicking okay seems to really hang up all the actions.
The action I am creating is to take existing text and apply layer style fx. Pretty basic. I'm not even sure what "toggle" means in this context.
I did see something about a fix in version 14.1.2 regarding this problem if Generate>Image Assets is checked (it's not) but since I am running 14.2, I would think that would not be the problem.

IF you try to quit telnet session, the shell will warn you that you have running process9es). If you still want to quit the session, then it will kill the application and quit the telnet session. If you have nohup'ed jobs running when you attempt to logout, you will be warned with the message
You have jobs running.
You will then need to logout a second time to actually logout; however, your background jobs will continue to run.

Problem with batch management indicator

Hi Gurus,
I have an issue with batch management.
There is one material which was not batch managed. The requirement was to make it batch managed. There were no open purchase orders and the only thing pending was the stock in the present and previous periods. The stock quantity in the previous period and the present period matched(470 Kg). I opened the previous posting period, used movement type 551 and scrapped the stock. There was zero stock for the current period and the present period.
I changed the batch management indicator successfully. Now the issue is whil i am trying to cancel the material document
1. Now that the material is batch managed, whie trying to cancel the material document using MIGO, the system prompts for a batch to be entered. But the batch field is greyed out and i am not able to enter a batch
2. I have tried to cancel the material document using MBST and MIGO. The sytem prompts for a batch to be entered but not allowing me to do so as the batch field is greyed out.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

What is a reason to cancel a material document? When was that material document created? Before or after flagging the indicator in the material master?

Making a load of A4 scans of an A3 poster into an A3 image with batch action.

Hi again, I'm on CS4
I have a load of A3 art posters that I've needed to scan.
I've used an A4 scanner to scan 2 segments of the A3 posters making sure that segments are overlapping.
There are many posters.
Is there anyway I could go about making an automatic batch action and photoshop would automatically line the two scans up and join them together?
A step by step would be much appreciated.

Problem with commandButton action listener! Help

I have a problem with the following and its driving me crazy!!
I'm getting a java.lang.NoSuchMethodException for RoomHandler.flipBoard. It seems to render the button correctly with its value. But I can't see why It can't find that method, because its definetly in the bean...

Problem with Batch Processing an Action using a Graphic Style Library

Hi,
I have ~100 files in which I need to change the fill and stroke of all the linework. I created Graphic Styles for all my new features. I then created an Action that sets a fill and stroke color, Select Same Fill and Stroke, then applies the new Graphic Style. This repeats for about 20 variations (ie; select all Fill=X, Stroke=Y, then apply Graphic Style A. Select all Fill=X2, Stroke=Y2 then apply Graphic Style B). It runs fine in my test file. The problem occurs when I try to run it in batch mode. I have my new Graphic Style Library set to Persistent, so that it is open for every file. But the action does not apply the new Graphic Styles. It's like it doesn't see/read the Graphic Style Library. I don't get any errors, the action completes. It just doesn't apply anything.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Are you not able to use an action to apply a graphic style from an added Library? Do I need to add the graphic styles to the Graphic Styles Panel and have the action reference the Panel, not the Library?
Any help or insight is appreciated.

Try this:
Copy an item that has the Graphic Style to the clipboard before starting the action. Then put a paste step followed by a delete step at the start of the action.

Problem with Batch Resizing in CS3

I have a bunch of .jpeg pictures I want to resize. I created a new action, I went to File - Automate - Fit Image and set the size to 1920x1080, closed but did not save the image. Then I stopped the action.
Then I went to File - Automate - Batch and set the Action to my new action, set up the source and destination folders and clicked OK.
However, after resizing the first picture in the source folder, I get the JPEG quality window opening and when I click ok, it just keeps opening the JPEG quality window after each picture is resized.
Is there anyway to prevent this jpeg quality window from opening each time, so the action just resizes all the pictures ? I'm using CS3 Photoshop?

That could be a video card problem, so run a check on it.
If changing drives be sure to deactivate CS3 before doing this (in Help menu). Then activate once installed on new HD. Best to do this with disks rather than just file transfer.

Cs4 photoshop top 40, problem with #30 - actions

I was using the lynda.com tutorials on photoshop when I was watching Deke's top 40... on # 30 - actions, I hit a snag... I was following along with the video, and I made the new folder, and the new action, but got a "can't do" sign when I tried to make the new layer to begin the processes... and I did load the files Deke provided, however, it wouldn't work at first, and I had to try it several times to get it to work... has anyone else had this problem?

I tried it again, and got it to work...
I opened a file to use as background, created the folder and created an action name, hit the record button, then clicking in the graphic to be able to create a new layer....
(The tutorial is on lynda.com)
It doesn't work the same when using a smart object... I think that is why it prevented me from making a new layer... and from loading the exercise file action...
I had to resize the canvas and set up my smart object FIRST before recording the action...

Problem with seting action method to a Hyperlink object

as the subject says, I have a problem wih setting the action method of a Hyperlink object. Here is how the program is organized:
I have an external bean which generates an ArrayList of Hyperlink objects. In the backing bean of my web page I call a method from the above mentioned external bean to generate the list of hyperlink objects. After that in the page bean I insert the hyperlink objects in GridPanel component. So far everything works fine, but the action method of the Hyperlink objects is not called and I can't understant why.
Here is how I add the objects to the GridPanel component:

i tried to classificate the batch with transsaction MSC2N but this changes are not saved and when i start another order must to put batch manually again

-Please check if the Material Masters for these materials have been extended to Classification Views with class 023.
-Check VCH1 if the search strategy records are maintained .

Problem with Batch Updates

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I have to use batch updates. But if there's a problem in one of the updates, I want the rest of the updates to ingore this and continue with the next statement in the batch. Is this not one of the features in BatchUpdates in JDBC2? I have been trying to accomplish this since 2 days now. Can anyone help me with this. Can anyone please help me with this?
FYI, I have tried the following.
I have 3 test updates in my batch.
2 nd statement is an erraneous statement(deliberate). Other 2 statements are fine. It is appropriatley throwing 'BatchUpdateException'. when I ckeck the "arrays of ints" reurned by executeBatch() as well as BatchUpdateException.getUpdateCounts() are returning an arrays of size '0'. If remeove the erraneous statement, behaviour is as expected.

The next paragraph of the same API doc:
If the driver continues processing after a failure, the array returned by the method BatchUpdateException.getUpdateCounts will contain as many elements as there are commands in the batch, and at least one of the elements will be the following:
3. A value of -3 -- indicates that the command failed to execute successfully and occurs only if a driver continues to process commands after a command fails
A driver is not required to implement this method.

Problem with advanced action and a counter.

I got a problem on a project with a counter and advanced action.
I got 7 words (3 wrongs and 4 rights), each associate with captions that shows on click
When the students had clicked on the 4 rights (and their captions are shown), the 3 wrongs captions are shown.
variable:
v_count
on wrong words:
simple action: on click, show captions
on good ones:
advanced conditional actions:
1) IF 1=1, THEN show > caption and v_count = v_count + 1
2) IF v_count=4, THEN show> all captions of the wrongs
The problem is: (Only when seen in browser) when I click on 3 rights (and not 4), all captions are shown! I have tried to put v_count=5, but then nothing happens.
Really, I'm lost! Have an idea of what could cause that problem?

Cs6 problem with batch from raw to jpg

I recently have problem when I want to batch raw files in bridge and convert them to jpg. it gives me errow message as: The command "Save" is not currently available. (-25920)
I try all possible ways but it doesn't work. I try to process files - script- image processor but in this way doesn't work eather. different computer works just fine with same files and using same workflow.
Just few weeks back I was able to do all my work without problem. Please HELP,HELP,HELP
