Hi can anyone tell me how to bluetooth a picture from my ipod touch 5th generation to the machine in max speilman .. I can do it of my samsung phone but cant work out how to do it from my ipod . Thankyou x

Has the home button worked in the past, or is this been something that hasn't worked for some time? The only way to reset the device is with the sleep/wake (power) and home buttons together. Without it, you would have to wait until the battery dies and then plug it in to try and reset it. The Home button is used for several user troubleshooting steps. Without it, you cannot perform a reset, put the device into recovery mode, or place it in DFU mode. You need to get the home button repaired.

Twice experienced an unusual problem with my iPod touch 5th generation running iOS 8.0: crashes and disables power up. HOME and POWER pressed together to reset.

I have a problem updating the new ipod touch 5th generation

I have a problem updating the new ipod touch 5th generation and I need help:
With each attempt I receive the message:
iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.
The iPod only displays a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an iTunes logo.
I receive a "Are you sure..." message with the 2 options, one to Restore and Update and the other to Cancel.
Each time I have selected the Restore and Update button and then moved through the acceptance screens. Then iTunes begins to download the iOS 6.0.1 Software Update, which usually takes about 50 minutes. During the download I will receive messages that an iPod has been found in restore mode.
After the download is complete no update occurs to the iPod and iTunes displays the Device Summary screen showing derive Name as iPod and all other items as n/a.
The iPod was working great without any known issues prior to attempting to update the OS.

Maybe:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

I have an iPod touch 5th generation with 32GB. This morning I started the ios8 update. Everything was going fine for a while, but now it's like it's stuck. The bar indicating how close it is to being done is almost full, but it's been like that for hours. I can't turn it off or do anything else.
Even if it's because I don't have enough memory, shouldn't I be able to cancel it or something? I didn't have this problem with the last update so I have no idea what is going on or how to fix it.

Just sent in daughter's Ipod touch 5th generation to be fixed....They sent me a new one....is there anyway to get the contents of her old one onto the new one? I synced the old one with Itunes before I sent it in and backed it up on my computer.

Sure, as soon as you open iTunes with the new iPod connected, it will have a "Welcome to your New iPod" screen. Just choose Restore from backup.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Tried to send iMessage from iPod touch (5th generation) but continuously says "contact not registered with iMessage". The contact IS registered with iMessage, but won't send any messages to anyone.

I have an iPod touch 5th generation (7.1.2) that has not been sending iMessages to other iMessage users. At first my iPod would not let me sign in to use iMessage, but I searched on different discussion boards that helped me log in. Now the trouble is not being able to send messages at all. I tried to delete the contact I was trying to message and restart the conversation board, but that didn't help at all. The contact continues to say 'xxxxxx not registered with iMessage" when, in fact, they are. I need help to resolve this issue.
