Problems with capturing in adobe premiere 6.5
I am using the following PC: Intel P 4 2.8 Ghz, XP professional SP 3, 1.5 GB RAM, HDD SATA 500GB 7200rpm, GPU NVidia 5200, capture device Pinnacle DV 500DVD, and using Adobe Premiere 6.5 software.
Thus, while capturing the uncompressed digital signal standard definition (IEE 1394), the result has pale colors and low resolutions, even if my soft settings are set on highest values.
Should I make same improvements in my hardware config, (I know the PC ain't the latest, but this is a guess of mine).
What should I do ?
Thank you for your advice.
Best regards,
Marcel
I use a Dv500 with Premiere 6.02 to digitize 8mm analog camcorder tapes, and the resulting files are exactly like the original tapes http://www.pacifier.com/~jtsmith/ADOBE.HTM
Digitizing from an analog tape is what is known as "capturing"
If you are only TRANSFERRING from a digital tape camcorder via the firewire connection, your Dv500 is not doing anything at all to the video... it is a simple COPY of the video from tape to computer, since the video file is already in digital format
More details are needed... such as camcorder make and model... and are you really doing a firewire transfer, or are you digitizing from analog?

Need Help Fast Re: Problems with capturing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
I am working on a project with a deadline. I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. My camera is a Sony Digital Video Recorder DCR-HC26. My computer is a Dell with OS of Windows Vista. I have been capturing numerous clips from hundreds of mini digital video cassettes. Yesterday, I attempted to capture from a Radio Shack Mini DV Metal Evaporated mini DV digital videocassette. For whatever reason it will not capture. I have never used one of these tapes before. Could it be the tape? After I click on "Capture," the screen shows NO PICTURE of sound, however, it plays on the camera. It can't be the camera settings because all the other tapes work. . . Any advice?
you need to post in the correct forum olivia.

I have purchased graphics card Quadro K4200, but graphics card don't work with cuda in Adobe Premiere CS 6 version 6.0.5. Maybe they are bad drivers for graphics card? How to solve this problem?
Did you use the nVidia Hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557

Problems with Dinamic Link between Premiere pro CC and After Effects CC
I'm having serious problems with dinamic link between premiere pro and after effects, really serious problems that have 2 big projects in trouble (a documentary and a video clip) and I had to redo all the work pipeline to the consumer.
The documentary for a spanish TV was made on CC 2014 and a video clip was made on CC. Both of them with a lot of after effects composition in the premiere pro timeline. Render freeze, a lot of playback issues, and many more problems... Until I decided to remove these links between premiere and after effects and render out all the after effects compositions one by one and insert as clips in premiere pro. 1 week working away with back and fourth.
I've got a huge workstation:
i7 4990
32Gb ram
GTX780 3gb
256 gb system ssd
2 Tb project storage
*All my hardware and software are update.
I know that a lot of folks are on the same huge problem and I want to ask everyone:
How do you save this?
What is your pipeline?
Are there any solution?
Best practice to use dinamic link in a huge project?
Thanks,
Ruben Gimenez.

Unfortunately that specifically did not work.
Based on another comment sent to me, here is what did.
In PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > New After Effects Composition
In AECC
From that composition created from PPro, I imported the project (aep) initially created in AECC from another team member. Saved the file.
Back in PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Import After Effects Composition

Problems with captured animation
Goodmorning,
We have a problem with captured animations.
We have created a few movies which have some captured animations.
When we play the movies, they do work. After saving and reopening most of them don't work anymore,
and only the part with the captured animation. The screens goes fully white while playing the animation.
Only the text balloons are visable...
We work on a group directory with captivate 3. Recently the flash player is updated to version 10.
We both are opening the files, not at the same time.
Questions:
Anybody aware of the problem ?
Anybody with any solution ?
Does anybody knows where captivate stores captured animations ?
For example. When I look in the library, i can see four captured animations, when i want to update them, i dont see any of them.
Brdgs MarcHi there
I believe you are talking about a Full Motion Recording (FMR). If this is Captivate 3, likely you are seeing an issue whereby Flash Player 10 is causing a problem.
If you revert to Flash Player 9 you should see the preview within Captivate again. Or, if you choose not to downgrade the Flash Player, you may elect to avoid previewing in Captivate and instead preview in the Web Browser.
Cheers... Rick

I have recently had problems in getting my Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to run. One of the gentlemen was able to take over control of my computer, and got it working for me, however since that time the program will sometimes open but most times it just freezes the computer and I have to shut it down and re open without any success with opening the elements program.
Can you helpSosure
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on?
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? If so, please read the Announcement about the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue which is found at the top of this web site. Does that apply to you? The explanation for the situation and the fix (roll back of the driver version) are all included in that Announcement.
We need to rule in or out this factor at the onset before we get to other questions
a. non NIVIDIA video card/graphics card driver
b. project preset and properties of source media
c. computer details
More later.
We will be watching for your reply.
Thank you.

Hi Support,
I am trying to use FMLE to encode and stream video from an Axis P1346 IP camera, via Axis' Streaming Assistant software, to a Wowza server.
Everyting appears to be working perfectly and the encoding and resultant stream quality is excellent. Sometimes after a few hours and sometimes after just a few minutes, the encoding will stop with the following error:
Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Session Stopped
Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Problem with capture device. Incorrect samples given by the device. Stopping encoding session.
I have attached a recent log of a session that only lasted a few minutes - do you have any ideas on how to resolve this instability?

Problem with installation of Adobe Air 2.6
Hi,
I've got a problem with installation of Adobe Air 2.6 under Mageia 2 Linux. The installation stops with an error. Here's the install.log:

Problem with capturing of baselines
Hi !
I have a problem with capturing of baselines- when the SQL is called from PL/SQL code...
For example if I execute in SQL* Plus session
alter session set optimizer_capture_sql_plan_baselines = true;
exec dbms_mview.refresh('VIEW_CLIENT_KONTO', 'C');
exec dbms_mview.refresh('VIEW_CLIENT_KONTO', 'C');
nothing happens ..I do not find the baseline in dba_sql_plan_baselines...
========================================================
optimizer_use_sql_plan_baselines = TRUE..of course and I can capture baselines for plain SQL -only not if SQL ist invoked from PL/SQL..
Now, nowere in documentation could I find that capturing does not work from PL/SQL ..that would, in my opinion, be sderious disadvantage- so much code in the database runs as PL/SQL..
We habe Oracle 11.2.0.3 Enterprise Edition
optimizer_features_enable = 11.2.0.3
What could be worng here..did I forget certain parameter or setting. Thanks for your help in advance. Now, nowere in documentation could I find that capturing does not work from PL/SQL ..that would, in my opinion,
be sderious disadvantage- so much code in the database runs as PL/SQL..You're quite right. It would be serious disadvantage.
But it's not true that they are not captured from PLSQL.

SQL> So, nothing to do with that.
I would suggest that it is because, being executed via DBMS_MVIEW, it is special and bypasses consideration for baselines.
Can we somehow circumvent this?
Perhaps, baselines being a pretty flexible vehicle that work off SIGNATURE (and PLAN_HASH_2).
Let's double check the signature and plan hash we need to reproduce.

SQL> So....
Are baselines created for sql statements executed from PLSQL? Yes.
Are baselines created for internal statements from DBMS_MVIEW? No.
Why? Don't know. But I think it's expected behaviour.
Is there a convoluted way of applying a baseline to the internal refresh statement? Yes. -
Problems with SharePoint2010 and Adobe Reader X
hi all,
i have a big problem with SharePoint2010 and Adobe Reader x. We can open .pdf Files from SharePoint but not Safe. The Error Message is "
SharePoint, SQL and OS are installed in English. The problem is that the site was probably created from a German template. One would have to create the site from an English template and then add the other languages by MUI. It is a matter which language site in the settings under Language Settings is uppermost to:
how can the problem be solved?it looks like here, the reader still an error..
andreHi,
Could you repost the error-message that you see in Adobe Reader? The problem might be because of a known bug in Microsoft SharePoint server 2010. Certain required field types are missing in the German/French site templates which cause a SOAP request on the server to fail. A workaround is to add these field types to the library. You could add these fields manually or using a script. You could look for following field types which might be missing from the site template.
"Content Type ID","Approver Comments","Name","Document Modified By","Document Created By","File Type","HTML File Type","Source URL","Shared File Index","Title","Template Link","HTML File Link","Is Signed", "Document ID Value", "Document ID", "Content Type", "Created", "Created By", "Modified", "Modified By", "Has Copy Destinations", "Copy Source", "Approval Status", "URL Path", "File Size", "Item Type","Sort Type", "Effective Permissions Mask", "ID of the User who has the item Checked Out", "Is Checked out to local", "Checked Out To", "Unique Id", "Client Id", "Virus Status", "Check In Comment", "Edit Menu Table Start", "Edit Menu Table End", "Server Relative URL", "Encoded Absolute URL", "Property Bag", "Level", "Is Current Version", "Item Child Count", "Folder Child Count", "Select", "Edit", "UI Version", "Instance ID", "Order", "Workflow Version", "Workflow Instance ID", "Source Version (Converted Document)", "Source Name (Converted Document)", "Document Concurrency Number","Relink", "Merge", "Path"
