Problems with charset encoding using sender JMS channel
Hi all,
We are connecting an AS400/WebSphere, with SAP via XI (PI7.0), by means of JMS adapter.
Situation: we are sending a message through a JMS sender channel from WebSphere to XI.
The problem occurs if the message has special characters (like client name). The contents of the XI message became wrong on those characters (they are replaced by '#'), sending invalid information to SAP.
The character set CCSID of the WebSphere is 00037.
Can anyone help me on overcoming this problem?
thanks in advance.
thanks Stefan,
>> What kind of mapping do you use?
We are using a graphical mapping that maps the incoming message to an IDOC message definiton.
>> Is the payload wrong after the mapping?
The mapping ends with success and the payload is well formated, but the content of the final message is wrong (just on the special chars) (ex: the ã is replaced by #).
>> Where do you send that message to?
The message is an IDoc that is send to SAP:

Content conversion by using sender JMS channel
Hi All,
I have developed a scenario from JMS to Idoc. I need to read flat files by using sender jms adapter. I have configured message transform bean in module tab and respective content conversion parameters as well. My flat files contains different structures. So I need to use conversion type as StructPlain2XML. Based on keyField value I am diffentiating flat file records. My requirement is I have to give two spaces in <xml.keyFieldValue> parameter. fixed Length of keyFieldValue is 6, Actual value getting from source file is DEST. I need to pass two spaces as per fixed length specification. I have passed two spaces, but after activating spaces are removed by system bydefault. Because of this an empty file is processed by PI. Source file contains two spaces after DEST. I need to read two spaces along with DEST value as keyFieldValue. How to achieve this..
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Ashok.Hi Ashok
You can resolve this by splitting the field into two fields - and actual key field and a dummy/temp field.
I've just blogged about this technique, you can refer to it here
Content Conversion for fixed length files with key field value shorter than key field length

Problem with End separator in Sender FCC channel
Hi Experts,
If i use a special character as field separator it is working.The same character is not recognized as end separator.
We tried all different options ,still its not working.
Thanks,
Karthikeyan.Hi Aamir,
We tried with single quotes and also as Hex values too.
As mentioned earlier, it is working as Field separator not as end separator.
Thanks,
Karthikeyan. -

Peferling
==================
Boy, you are not kidding, I was running both the cloud and CS6, and I was ready to throw in the towel.
I have changed computer's twice now, have a solid state hd, (which I love) with 10 terabytes on externals, I run NOTHING except adobe's stuff on my HD now, and only one version of it, and it runs like a dream.
So, I updated the OS to win 8.1, updated my peripherals,
I dumped CS6 (hated to, but for some reason my 3D won't work on it, it works fine with the cloud) but in CS6 the software was turning it off after adobe's last update.
I've made a virtual machine for my development environments which do not play well with adobe's stuff.
My rule of thumb has always been double what the manufacturer states is required for RAM, but imho, with my current upgrades: upgraded to win8.1, and other peripherals, spent two weeks changing stuff over and it's about 100 times better than trying to run CC and CS6. - No kidding, the change is astronomical
But for anything PC I'm way over powered, and for Adobe, I'm still underpowered.
Next, I'll just get a mac for Adobe, and stick with my pc's for ms/CentOS. Too, it seems like since the cloud was initiated Adobe is rolling out the updates faster and changes without warning. The processor/3D issue, I had no warning on it, just woke up one day and "no more 3d" :S
But I do love the cloud, so, guess there's got to be some dark lining to it. <g> -
Change of Encoding in Sender JMS Adapter
Hi,
My scenario is like that:-
FTP->MQ Queue->JMS Queue->XI->R/3
From JMS Queue IDOC xml is coming in UTF-8 encoding to XI. In that IDOC xml certain special characters are there, say, some Latin or European character. But for the scenario XI->R/3, data are not getting posted to R/3. In XI side, it is not giving any error, but it is giving a flag (in QRFC Monitor) which is Error between two Character Sets.
I am unable to rectify this error. One solution I have guessed that is, it will be possible to resolve this issue if I can change the encoding in XI to ISO-8859-1. But I dont know how to change the encoding in Sender JMS Adapter in XI. Could you please help me to resolve this issue?
BR
Soumya BHi,
Check following:
1. In SXMB_MONI, what is the XML structure generated for inbound and outbound message. Check the encoding used in both. This could be checked by looking at the first line of XML generated. For UTF encoding, usually, the first line should look as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
2. If the encoding for both is different, try to figure out which encoding is used for Message Type in XI. For matching the encodings, you could change the XSD used for creating message type in XI. This way, the character encoding could be changed. And this solution should suffice if the problem has occured between XI to R3 scenario.
Also, for learning more about character encodings, you could visit following link:
http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars.html
Hope it helps.
Bhavish.

Hi all,
I have been facing with this problem with sender JMS channel, any pointers as to where can be the solution for it
The error details are as follows
JMS and XI identifiers for the message are ID:414d512056515933444e41575445202048aa8802235bad01 and a2d32e30-7aae-11dd-ae1c-001125cc0c0c respectively. The JMS adapter will rollback the database and JMS session transactions. If the session is transacted, the message is not lost and will be retried later. The exception stack trace is java.lang.Exception

Messages are not being placed in the Queue. the Queues are newly created is there something which has been missed out during the creation of the Queues
Rgds
AdityaHi Aditya
Try this way:
1. uncheck JMS transactional session check box in JMS sender communication channel.
2. Once it is done, insert new message in JMS queue.
Thanks

having a problem with dates when I send my numbers doc to excel. dates are all out and that they have to cut and paste individual entries onto their spreadsheet. Any idea how I can prevent this.
I'm using Lion on an MBP and Numbers is the latest versionMay you give more details about what is wrong with your dates ?
M…oSoft products aren't allowed on my machines but I use LibreOffice which is a clone of Office.
When I export from Numbers to Excel and open the result with LibreOffice, the dates are correctly treated.
To be precise, dates after 01/01/1904 are correctly treated. dates before 01/01/1904 are exported as strings but, as it's flagged during the export process, it's not surprising.

Facing problem with the code for sending an .xls attachment via email, a field value contains leading zeros but excel automatically removes these from display i.e. (00444 with be displayed as 444).kindly guide .
Hi Chhayank,
the problem is not the exported xls. If you have a look inside with Notepad or something like that, you will see that your leading zeros are exported correct.Excel-settings occurs this problem, it is all about how to open the document. If you use the import-assistant you will have no problems because there are options available how to handle the different columns.
Another solution might be to get familiar with ABAP2XLS-Project. I got in my mind, that there is a method implemented, that will help you solving this problem. But that is not a five minute job

Groovy for model layer: problem with charset
Hello
I'm using JDeveloper 11g 10.1.1.3
I have a problem with charset in groovy expresssion in entity.
I have an entity Address with transient attribute, that uses next groovy expression:
((StreetName == null || StreetName.trim().equals('')) ? '' : 'ул. '+StreetName )+ (BuildNumb==null||BuildNumb.trim().equals('') ? '' :', д. '+BuildNumb) +
(CorpNumb==null || CorpNumb.trim().equals('') ? '' : ', к. '+CorpNumb) +
(StrNumb==null || StrNumb.trim().equals('') ? '' : ', стр. '+StrNumb)That expression have some russian sumbols (like ', стр. ').
On the integrated WebLogic all works perfectly well (I use OS Windows XP), but I have problem with production server based on SUSE Linux 11: all russian symbols from this expression are displayed as sybmbol '?', although data from attributes (StreetName and other) are correct.
I think should be possibility to set charset parameter for Groovy expression, but I can't find it.
In Address.xml file the charset is "UTF-8", and everywhere in project setting I set charset "UTF-8"
AnatoliiI've never exported more than a few layers from InDesign. Nothing as complex as you're doing. It's worked OK for me for a few layers. It may well be a bug. I suspect that this feature is not too widely used, which usually means that it never got well bug tested.

When attempting to use Lightroom external editor program to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10, the photo does not open / appear on photoshop elements screen. I don't have any problem with this when using Photoshop Elements 6 or Photoshop CS. I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Any solutions?
Adobe now hides the editor - what looks like it is not - you want the editor hidden in the support folder - see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3955558#3955558 for details

Problem with SDO_relate when using polygons with holes.
I'm having a problem with sdo_relate. I'm trying to extract all elements from a point table (bdtq_batim_p) that are inside a specific polygon from another table (SDA_MUNIC_SS). The spatial index for both table have been rebuilt and the data from both table is valid.
When I do a count on the query, I know the answer should be 1422 elements (Counted in ArcGIS). However, sdo_relate gives a smaller number of elements in the result set.
The query :
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and sdo_relate( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'mask=anyinteract querytype=window') = 'TRUE'
returns 282 elements. The query with mask=inside, SDO_Anyinteract() and SDO_inside() all give the same result.
I did a test with the following query and the result is 1422 (which is the good result).
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE';
It's important to note that the polygone (from SDA_MUNIC_SS) that is used for this query have holes in it. I have the same problem with all the polygons from the SDA_MUNIC_SS table that have holes in it. For the polygon without holes, the results are the same for the 2 queries.
My question are :
Why are the result from the two queries different? A query with a buffer of 0 should always return the same result as a query with Anyinteract.
Is there a known problem with SDO_RELATE when using a polygon with holes in it?
Do you have any idea how to solve my problem.Since i don't have much control on the version of Oracle and Patches that we use in the system, we used a workaround that detects the polygons with holes and uses the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE' operator in those case. We saw a slight decline in performance but it now returns the right results. When the system will be patched, we'll come back to the original version and see if the problem is solved.

We've just now upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and are having a problem with Apple ProRes 4444 and alpha channels in Motion 4. A clip with an alpha which keyed perfectly before the upgrade, now will not key. If I convert the clip to the Animation codec, it keys perfectly. If I export the Motion project as a ProRes 4444 self contained movie, it will key when brought into FCP 7 but if I import the project into FCP 7, it will show the key in the viewer but not the canvas. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions on how to correct this? Is it a bug?
Thanks,Motion 4.0.3
It just doesn't seem to recognize the alpha at all.
