Problems with clicking using the mouse and trackpad
Mouse will move OK, but clicks do not register immediately and everything is highlighting when i move the cursor. I found that if i hold down the click for a second or so it seems to work as per normal except if there is a delayed action on a button. Has anyone come across this and do you have a solution? Thanks in Advance.
Its a bit hard to explain exactly what happens. When i click on an object it seems that only the press is invoked and the release is not. Thats why when i click on somthing them move the mouse it starts highlighting, be it text in a browser window or icons on the desktop.
I have noticed that if i press, wait for a couple of seconds and then release, the click works as it should. All other interaction such as the keyboard mouse movements and right click works fine.
Also, this problem causes a double click to act like a single click, and a triple click act like a double click.
This problem is driving me crazy...

There is a way, in C4, to use the mouse and the keyboard at the same time?

I also understand the need for such a feature. Not saying I need it myself, but that I do understand it.
What really needs to happen here is for everyone else that would need to use such a feature to request it from the Adobe Captivate Development team. See, the thing is, it's like a big election system. The more folks that request a specific feature, the higher it ranks on the Adobe development radar.

my host name changes every few days, since Xmas adding a macbook its changed 6 times. Do I need to stop this? Does it cause problems with sharing between the iMac and macbook?
There are several possible causes for this problem.
1. Two (or more) computers on the local network have the same Bonjour name, such as "X's-MacBook-Pro.local".
2. You have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
3. A Mac wakes from sleep due to network traffic. This is due to a bug in OS X that may only affect some models.
4. A device that gets its network address from the router wakes from sleep, and the address it was using before has been assigned to another device.
5. A third-party wireless router has incompatible settings or firmware. In that case, refer to the manufacturer or ISP for support. Restarting the router may help, temporarily.

i have a problem with mail. the spelling and grammer check box before sending the messege is no longer there. I did everything but cannot get it back. is ther anyone who knows how to get the box with spelling and grammer checks before sending the mail.
Also the mail is acting very funny by not getting the rules work in a proper method. Is ther a software to repair mail.i did both of them, but still the while sending the mail the diolog box is not showing up and also the spelling and grammer does not do the spelling check.
This problem just started for about 3 to 4 days now. earlier it was working normally. -

Bluetooth problem with OSX Yosemite: Magic Mouse and Keyboard
Hello everyone,
I've a problem on my MacBook Pro with Retina Display 13" (late 2013).
I've always used it plugged with an external monitor (I love double screen), magic mouse and bluetooth keyboard. On Mavericks everything was perfect with this setup.
Yesterday I installed OSX Yosemite and I've found a boring problem: my Magic Mouse and my Bluetooth Keyboard have a 0.5 second of latency, lag. This happen when the Macbook is not plugged with battery charger. When he is on charge, the problem don't exist.
I noticed this bug also on the public beta of this summer and submit the feedback.
I hoped that they fixed this before release but the bug is still here.
How can i solve this boring problem?I also reported this issue again and again during each beta release.
This makes the MacBook basically unusable in battery power for doing any kind of design and coding work.
I don't have any bluetooth addons or third party utilities. I also tried clearing PRAMs, and reinstalling Yosemite, to no avail.

Note that while the issue is kind of tolerable using the mouse, it's tragic with the keyboard.

For example, if I try to hit the refresh button twice in a row in Chrome, the first time may work, but not the second. This occurs in all programs I use.

5k retina display - scroll not working with Safari (both magic mouse and trackpad)
Hi,
suddenly my trackpad and magic mouse stopped working with scrolling (most annoying one) and other gestures.
I recently bought the iMAC 5K retina display and was not expecting this by any means...
I have a ton of tabs open on safari and simply "refuse" to try the old windows way of rebooting the machine...
I have to use the arrow keys to scroll down... this is insane

many thanksJust found out the reason I couldn't get the two to play nicely. I had connected my keyboard and trackpad using a "Magic Wand" which looked great. Unfortunately the magic wand had a connecting piece to fill in the gap between the two pieces and this was preventing the little pads underneath the trackpad clicking. So I can only guess that because the trackpad couldn't click it thought it was stuck and therefore also locked up the mouse. I've remove the connector and both pieces work perfectly together!

Problems with New Kernel regarding mouse and random shutdowns etc
After upgrading to kernel 3.2.1-2, my computer has shutdown a couple times. They "normal" shutdowns as in I will press the shutdown button in my de and computer actually shuts down. Also a couple times when turning my computer off i will have to reboot because my laptop touchpad is not working. going into a tty i do rmmod psmouse and it will say the module is not loaded, loading the module makes no difference. The last few updates I have also had regressions with my wireless. By default arch blocks my wireless and in rc.local I have rfkill unblock all, but this lately does not always work. I have been manually loading the ath9k driver. My laptop is a gateway nv79c, intel i5, onboard graphics, 4 gb of ram. My wireless card is an atheros ar928x. To be clear, the mouse problem and shutting down has started since updating to 3.2.1-2. Yes I know the kernel was just updated today but I have been using my laptop a lot today.

Problem with JFMERGE using the last set of data on all form sets
b Here is the scenario...
I have a file of data in character delimited format. Each record needs to produce the same set of forms. I used the Visual Transformation Editor to define the field nominated data file, including the ^form statements. The transformation agent processes the file of multiple records just fine. I get a file from JFTRANS that contains the set of data & form statements repeated for each record in the file.
Great so far.
b Here is the problem...
Unfortunately, the print agent is repeating the same set of data on every copy of the set of forms that is printed. It uses the data from the last set of forms to be printed.
b Additional information...
For ease of building the field nominated file by our custom client program we have standardized on using GLOBAL fields. Therefore, our DAT files contain all the ^global declarations with all the necessary ^form statements at the end. I used the transformation editor to build the same type of file. Therefore the file going to the print agent looks like:
^global name1
data1
^global name2
data2
^form form1
^form form2
^global name1
newdata1
^global name2
newdata2
^form form1
^form form2
The printed result puts "newdata1" & "newdata2" on both sets of form2. Strangely, the correct data values are showing up on both sets of form1.
The only difference between the two forms is that form1 is not defined with the fields as global where form2 does define them as global. I removed the global flag from form2 but that didn't change anything.
I think I know what is occurring. JFMERGE is putting the data elements into the global dictionary and when the same name is in the file the latest data value ends up in the dictionary (thus all the forms print using the last data put into the dictionary). I certainly didn't expect this. I thought it would load the dictionary and print the first set of forms, then reload the dictionary and print the next set of forms. At least that is the way I see it occuring based on the order of things in the DAT file. Based on what is occuring it appears that JFMERGE reads the whole DAT file, building the dictionaries and then processes all the ^form statements.

Does anyone know what I can do (such as insert some command) to get the correct data on the forms?
It looks like using a fixed record format might do the trick but that isn't an option at this time. As things are right now it looks like I'm going to have to take the data file apart, and make lots of files with one line of data per file.
I have a time deadline to get this printed so if there isn't a way to make JFMERGE operate as I expected it looks like I'll be doing this by hand. Fortunately, there are only 250-300 data lines. Future jobs could have thousands of data lines so if there isn't a way to do it with a multi-line data file I'll have someone create a program for splitting the original file up (and adding the ^job line).We don't use subforms so some of what you suggest isn't effective for us. Our forms are a duplication of the paper forms and are not dynamic. We design each form separately and our custom filler software (that builds the DAT file) uses a database with the required forms for each print job defined within it.<br /><br />Since we don't have subforms, our simple method of printing is to declare as GLOBAL all the unique fields used on all the forms to be printed followed by the ^form commands. It was a simple & straightforward method for us to do better than 500 print jobs over that past couple of years. In addition, our custom filler software can easily build the DAT files.<br /><br />Because I need to manually declare all the ^form statements my experience with using ^field is that the form must be declared followed by the appropriate field commands (repeat for all the forms).<br /><br />i <many hours later I continue typing this post><br /><br />Taking the original Transformation Definition File and customizing it for how things need to be when using ^field commands was a time consuming experience (and a learning one). It did the job as I needed but it is an experience I don't want to repeat. There has got to be a better way of building the TDF properly. I'm definately leaning towards a program to split the file into multiple files.<br /><br />Here is what I went through...<br /><br />I did all the editting using Notepad. I changed all ^global to ^field. Then I had to remove the #comment lines. Next was to find any references to fields that had to be global to the top and chang ^field to ^global. Then it was moving the fields around so they were underneath the appropriate ^form statement. Then, since one of the forms was multi-page I had to add the ^page command and sort the fields so they were under the correct page. That was followed by duplicating fields that are used on multiple forms or multiple pages. Then I discovered that the print agent won't do ^page unless "inline processing" is turned off (I did not want to specify the page name as it could change over time) - so I added "^inline off" in front of every ^page. Problem with menus on the right and image is too far to the right.
Notice the difference in sizes of the menus, (Unfamiliar with the correct terminology). I cannot get the Adjustments, Layers, Properties, etc. to all be the same size, increase their width. Notice the loaded image is too far to the right underneath the menus. I have to go to Window/Arrange/Float in window to move the image to the left. Also I cannot get the Maximize/Minimize button to work. How can I fix these problems.
I did that already with the same results. Trying to widen the Adjustment
menu does not work. I am satisfied with
the way the other menus appear. The only other problem that bothers me
is that the loaded image is to far to the
right, and is underneath the menus. The only way I can move the image to
the left is to use the Float in window
command, but it is not permanent. It goes back to the default position
when another image is opened.

HT203164 I have to reboot iTunes for almost every CD before it "sees" the CD.
