I am using the compress function in the Mac OS (File > Compress XX) from time to time. Today it does not work anymore. OS 10.5.6
I get a message: The content list cannot be created for compressing.
I tried it with files and folders and keep getting this message. Anybody any idea as to how to fix this

so I fixed it just this morning by running Applejack 1.5 and am back up running noticing your post.

I was running KeyPassFox with Firefox 8.0.1, but the plugin does not work in the new release (9) . Is there a way to restore my previous version with all of my bookmarks intact? I do not mind if I have to restore the plugins myself.
The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!" -

According to Roaring Apps, there is a version of Protools compatible with Lion. But you may need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to buy either Lion or ML on MAS. It looks like you need to get up-to-date with your OS and the apps too.

Yes, any version of PSE qualifies for upgrade pricing, but if you're in the US you might want to consider running the trial for now and waiting for the black friday specials, when the full version will be a lot less than the adobe upgrade price.

With HP update for Maverick my photosmart C309A does not work properly
After the HP-update for Maverick my printer HP Photosmart C309A does not work correctly. The scan facility is gone and the printer "hangs" after one print. I had to reset the printer software from a backup and to disable the automatic installation facility on my IMac. Shortly, very very very nasty. I hope this is the way for Apple to change this update into a good one. There is no other way to communicate with Apple then through the Community. I wander if Yosemite gives the same problems with printers.

Try the following.
Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and remove the tick next to Internet Explorer 9 Click Yes then OK and then when done, restart the PC.

How do I remove or delete files and image files within a document foler? I have tried dragging the files to the trash, but that is not working.
Right-click (or ctrl-click) on a file. If the "move to Trash" option is greyed out, select "get info" and read the permissions at the bottom of the info window.
Wat are they?

I-pod nano click wheel does not work help!

My i-pod nano 1st gen click wheel will not work i have tried restoring,restarting and all the 5 r's but still nothing has happened... there has to be a solution out there somewhere o yea i have also tried taking out the gunk in the click wheel but nothing HELP!Version in the nano is 1.1; iTunes is 6.0.4.2.
This silly thing "healed itself" the next morning (?!), worked fine for two days, and decided to show the same symptoms this evening, then began working fine again.
Whether it is working or not I can feel the click of the wheel but unit shows no response when the problem is manifesting. So if I am having the problem I can press the wheel any which way for as long as I like and nothing happens -- screen does not light up, unit doesn't scroll, play/pause gives no response, etc.

Ipod click wheel does not work at all..
I gave a friend of mine my 4g photo. It worked for him for a few days and then stopped. He brought it back to me and I restored it twice back to factory settings. Still nothing. The other weird thing is when you cycle between hold and on, it starts the ipod like it is an on and off switch. The click wheel does not respond, and the hold thing is just weird. I just would like to know if this is a hardware problem, and if there is anything I can do to get it up and running again.. thanks...
Macbook Pro 15" Mac OS X (10.4.8)hi muddy angel, recently i had a problem that sounds similar. my well cared and little used 40gb ipod didnt respond to the clickwheel -no reason that could be recognised. gravis in berlin, germans probably biggest apple dealer, checked the item. they told me it would be a rare, but well known very unlucky thing that clickwheels sometimes just give up their functions for unknown reasons. unfortunately my clickwheel did so, after the warrenty has run out a couple of weeks ago and as well annoying is the fact that a replacement of the clickwheel is horrible expensive. so, if you have the opportunity to have your ipod checked by a hardware pro - try it.

iTunes 11.1 will not delete files from list, and NO the delete key does not work for that thanks.
I'd recommend just giving up on the List View in iTunes. As far as I can tell, you CANNOT get rid of anything in that view. If there's a cloud icon, the episode is out there in the ether and you can download it; if there's no cloud, I guess it's on your computer already. Basically it's in permanent "Show All Available Episodes" mode, and that's the only choice available.
Use the "My Podcasts" or "My Stations" view (or a smart playlist) instead to see what podcast episodes are actually on your computer.
I've also found that deleting podcast episodes doesn't seem to be a permanent solution: iTunes will want to download them again, because after all, you didn't play the podcast, right? You must have made a mistake by deleting something you hadn't played yet! (WHY they've set it up this way is beyond me.) To get rid of a podcast episode off your computer, mark it as played, and then re-sync. -

BPEL Process with multiple file types using one FTP adapter is not working
i created a bpel process which will fetch the files from remote location using FTP adapter.
Now the process works for only one format or file type like *.xls.
How can i use more than one file format in one FTP adapter.
OR
is there any other way to do it.
file type assignation is 5th step in FTP adapter configuration.
i have tried *.xls,*.csv and *.xls;*.csv and *.xls:*.csv by seperating with comman, colon, space... still not working.
i read the documentation *.* will not work.. for one file format it's working fine.
looking forward for reply as soon as possible.Are you positive that it is not working? I'm not sure how you can use one FTP adapter for multiple file types unless the underlying data is exactly the same format or you are processing it as opaque data. Sometimes when a FTP adapter chokes on a file with a bad structure it doesn't create a BPEL instance, it simply moves the bad file to a separate folder.
So I assume you are using opaque as the data type instead of using an XSD element?
That said, I don't think you can put two separate file types in the filter. Is it possible for you to do something like: CommonFileName*.* or do you have similar files with other extensions?
I know the above probably isn't of much help, but I had so many problems with the FTP adapter and its lack of features that I am writing my own. Unfortunately that is a large undertaking and there isn't any good documentation of JCA resource adapter / BPEL PM integration.
