Problems with connecting my ipod to computer

Please, i need help. I had my ipod and itunes running fine on a windows xp computer service pack 2 and last weekend i got a new computer. However, i simply transferred my old hardrives into the new computer. The only thing that changed was the letter of the drive. Instead of being E: drive it is now an F: drive.
The problem i am having is that i get an error message everytime i connect my ipod to the new computer and load up itunes It says "the software required for communicating with the ipod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes..."
So when i try to reinstall itunes i get error 1324 "the path ipod updater 20006-06-28 contains an invalid character."
I've tried downloading itunes from the website and when it tries to install i get "ipodservice.resources is not a valid short file name."
So, i can't uninstall itunes or ipod, i've cleaned up my computer for any remnants of files in the system, and i've checked the registry to make sure no files were still being directed towards the E: drive.
Itunes right now works fine. The only problem is that my ipod doesn't update any music or properly connect with itunes.
I've run out of options and need help. Also, if there is a better forum to post this in please tell me. thanks.

I just purchased a Phillips Portable DVD player that I can insert my ipod into.

If you have a new enough iPod, they are now requiring an apple adapter that has the apple computer chip in it to work. I did a general search on the web and came up with better info than here.

Zen Sleek Photo - Problems with connecting device to the comput

My zen sleek photo gives me this error message when I try to transfer nusic from Napster "Your portable device has stopped responding. To restart your transfer, please disconnect and reconnect your device. Tracks will begin transferring when the device is connected."?I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, this does not work. I have also tried the recovery mode using the Clean up and reboot options. I am afraid to try Format and Reload Firmware, since my MP3 player continues to stop responding. Sorry, no I can't transfer music. You would first have to let WMP scan the folder where the songs are. Once they are in your Library section right click the songs and choose Add to Sync List. Then click on the Sync tab and click on Start Transfer and it should transfer over. After choosing Add to Sync List. Then click on the Sync tab and click on Start Sync I get this error message from WMP "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. Problems with iTunes and iPod running under Windows Vista

I recently changed my computer. I now have an HP Pavilion running windows Vista (use to have XP). I have a video iPod -30GB. I downloaded iTunes onto the new equipment without incident, but that is the last thing that went smoothly.
I can no longer watch TV shows or movies from iTunes. The video plays like a slide show of stills (the audio is real-time however). Eventually I will get an error message from Windows and it closes the application.
I am also having issues with syncing my iPod and computer. I get a message requiring me to delete all of the content of the iPod and replace it with the contents of iTunes. I haven't done this -no trust and no backup
The delete message is from iTunes. I suspect it is a security feature to prevent downloading to more than one iPod, as iTunes doesn't seem to 'know' my iPod anymore. Syncing has also caused iTunes to close and my computer to reboot. Has anyone else had these problems?

Connecting new ipod to computer

The screen on my current ipod has cracked, i am guessing i will get a new one from the shop where i purchased mine (not apple) even if i just get a repair under the terms of their extended garantee will i just be able to attach my new ipod to the pc and redownload all my stuff on itunes to it? Help, I'm dumb. I was given an ipod shuffle a while back. Installed it, loved it, bought a bigger, better one, but can't use it yet. Follow this from a computer already connected: 1. Open setup page of router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in browser’s address bar, and typing password as "admin" and no user name. I'm having a problem with connecting Contribute 3 to our web
site.
I have Contribute running on two PC's, one running XP Pro
Service Pack 1 and the other Service Pack 2, the one with SP 1 is
at home and connects fine. I used this one to generate a connection
key for my office computer (the one with SP2). Everything should be
fine, but it isn't.
The office PC refused to connect to the site: After double
clicking on the connection key and selecting Open, it presents a
dialog box with the name: Import Connection Key, and I enter a new
username, email and the password for the connection key.
When I click OK, it presents the following message: "Unknown
host. Contribute could not find the server "ftp.myhost.com". Please
check your connection information or contact your administrator."
When I click OK on this dialog box, it presents the following
dialog box: "Contribute could not verify your connection key. A
network connection to the server could not be established. Please
contact your administrator for assistance." Damn,I'm the
adminstrator and I have run out of ideas!
I can connect to the site with WS_FTP without any problems,
but I cannot do so with Contribute, neither with the connection key
containing all the FTP details, nor bypassing the connection key
and simply manually entering the FTP details.

I have a problem with connecting and syncing my Iphone to itunes.
iphone alone on PC -> uploading files (fotos) is possible
itunes starts normaly, if iphone is not conected.
if i connect iphone after starting itunes, or if i start itunes after connecting iphone i get an itunes-error with message:

i test different things...
- used another USB-port
- used another PC
- used macbook of my wife instead PC
- deinstalled and new installed of itunes (older and newer versions) folow tutorials of apple
- use another USB-Cable...

In this context, that can sometimes indicate trouble with a content file on the phone (or Touch).
Do you have any podcasts stored on the iPhone at the moment? If so, if you delete them from the phone, can you connect to iTunes without the error?

I had problems with connecting to free Wifi after upgrading my PC(Notebook) to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. As I travel a lot within europe, I am used to being able to connect to Free Wifi(those that dont need a key or password to enter) but soon after downloading
Windows 8.1 I almost never was able to do this. I'd always get «LIMITED» even though the signal was strong.This was so fustrating,so much so that I reset my PC to clear it of Windows 8.1 and am now back to Windows 8.This is a shame because I was really liking
using Windows 8.1 and if not for this problem(which is a big one) I'd still be using it. If I download Windows 8.1 again from the Windows store what is the probability that I'll have the same problems?

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

Problems with syncing my ipod

Yesterday I updated my iPod tot 1.1
After that it had that crappie bug with the video's, so I downgraded my iPod. After that I updated it again tot 1.1
Now I have a problem with syncing my iPod (video's only).
First I had some series it synced with my iPod, also after the first update. But after the second update it tells me there are some files it couldn't sync. (some videos it did sync btw, and the problem with the sound has gone, I can play movies normal now!)
So the problem is now that it doesn't sync all my movies anymore, and I converted all of them with the same program..
Anyone has the same problem or knows how to solve?

Mijn advies: terug naar versie 1.0. Tenzij je versie 1.1 nodig hebt, natuurlijk (voor radio o.i.d.). Of wachten op versie 1.2
Ik heb zojuist versie 1.0 geherinstalleerd, en alles werkt nu prima. En telkens als iTunes vraagt of ik de nieuwste versie wil installeren klik ik op NEE.
