Problems with connecting. (Zen Xt
I've been having quite a problem with my Zen Xtra. When I connect it to my USB port, It gives me those beeping errors made by either Creative Or windows. I have a 4 year old computer, so it has USB . ports. I bought a PCI to USB 2.0 card, The zen worked fine for awhile, and all of a sudden, it stopped! I tried almost everything. I updated the firmware...And I couldn't because it requires USB connectivity. I installed the other software, I replaced the USB hub also. It went shot on me, but I connected it and it didn't work, but when I plug in my mouse, printer, and keyboard...And they all work fine. I've even formatted my Zen and it still dosen't work. I've tried connecting it in the USB . port and still dosent work. I've even tried searching for BIOS updates for my mobo, but to no avail...nothing. Althought I did try on another computer, and it did work just fine. Although the computer's USB ports are on the mobo instead of a PCI card.
I'm at the end of my rope here! I have no idea what's going on.
Sounds like the drivers have got messed for your PCI USB.
Try the following, remove the PCI board and place it in a slot away from the AGP (graphics slot). This should force a reinstall of the driver. Sometimes you can get conflict with memory allocations for the PCI slot.
Remove any hubs that you may have and plug directly into the card, some things draw a lot of current for example optical mouse and unless you have a powered hub this maybe causing problems.

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me sort out a problem with the Zen V Plus that I bought a couple of months ago. Today the battery ran out so I plugged it into my laptop and left it to charge. Hello all...
I'm contemplating purchasing a Macbook. I only got my Zen a few weeks ago, but off of Ebay, so it's unreturnable (plus I love it).
So my question is, how many of you have had major problems using XNJB to support your music? Can you upload music on to your Zen from your Macbook with the program? What are the biggest problems?
And finally, please try to convince me whether or not I should buy a Macbook or a Dell laptop, whether all the hassle that comes along with it is worth it with a Macbook.

problems with moving files to the player or any problems with connecting the player with the computer,
I'm experiencing a lot of freezups of the firmware of the player, harddisk keeps running, it does that
till the battery is low or till I push reset, sometimes this doesn't help at all, the operating system at
the harddri've gets somehow damaged by the instability of the filesystem, reflashing the firmware helps
the. Problems appear to be a software problem with the firmware, the player went away for repairs once,
with this problem, they have checked the harddisk, harddisk was fine but the os crapped up it's self
somehow, know this because I asked them to tell me every thing what was wrong and how they solved this,
asked them also how I could fix the player myself? if it was no hardware problem.
They told me to reflash the firmware and format the dri've from the service mode out. -
Problems with the Zen Vision:M 6
I'm experiencing a lot hangs and lockups with my Zen Vision:M 60GB,
the newest firmware that is viable for the Zen Vision:M 60GB already
on my Zen Vision:M 60GB, firmware version .2.02e, sometimes the
clean up in the service mode works fine, had also a situation
that everything went so bad that it lockedup when I turned my Zen on,
had then to refresh the firmware and lost all my music on its hard dri've,
costed me hours to get everything back on it.
Please, Creative do something about these lockups bring new firmware out
that solves these problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Software problems with the zen visio
hey,
i just got the zen vision m yesterday. very nice day.
today after finding out that the player works well i decided to upload some more music and pictures then i did yesterday, but everytime the zen media explorer hangs itself up i uninstalled all the software and then reinstalled it, but again i didn't work when it comes to the upload
i'm clueless, is this a common problem and are there any other software or a new uptdated software versions, which may help me?
i really really want that player to work, because the -2 hours i got with it were great
i got the zen m 30 gb working on windows xp home...

Problem with my zen vision:m 30
hello, i have a problem with my zen. I've reload my zen all the night (with a special chager), i can't turn it on, when i connect it to my pc, there is a light blue, but my pc dont detect it, there is a "!" yellow in the periph settings... I have recovery 2 times, after that it work some minutes, but i cant put music or photos in my zen, the software and my pc dont detect it, i have xp pro sp2, windows media player . I cant recovery the zen with the special tools because it isnt detect by my pc... Thanks for ur help
sorry for my bad englishThe first step is to do a cleanup >reboot on the player if that don't work? then while connected uninstall thru Device Manager,reboot computer then plugin to have Windows find & reinstall the player, if that? doesn't work then format,cleanup>reboot player to see if that solves the problem. loosing files is a last resort . Whatever you do DO NOT choose RELOAD FIRMWARE as you don't have recognition from the computer & can not reload it. Hi I have had my player for just over year now and a few problems have just come up. First off the power switch is getting harder and harder to use. I am having to push the power button pretty hard now and have to hold it for a little while. Also when connect my player into the computer and go into the creative mediasouce player and click to access my zen micro it says its not connected.
Can anyone help me with these problems.
Its a 5gb zen micro version .02.05 if that means anythingRegarding your connection problems, are you using WMP? It is known to cause connection problems with the Zens.
Have you tried reinstalling the Creative Software?
Have you tried the connection with another PC IF available?
And regarding the power button, I'm guess that it is due to aging? I still have my Zen Micro (even though I use my ZVM) and I do have to hold the power button a little bit longer than before (3-5 seconds more) for it to turn on. Same happens when I use the lock mode (I just tried it)
and it's kinda rough for it to push instantly (effortless but still feels a little rough).

so the first problem with my zen stone i found was that no matter how much music i had on it, it would only play certain songs. for example, if i have 200 songs on it, it only plays abou 30 of them over and over....i tried using the online manual but that was NO HELP, it makes no sense when it tries to describe how to organize music/folders.
now i have another problem...my stone WONT PLAY MUSIC. i open the folder and click and drag files from itunes(like i did before) into the folder, and it loads them. as soon as i disconnect my player and hold down the play button to play, it blinks 3 times and nothing happens, and everytime i hit play after that it does the same thing..

I have a problem with connecting and syncing my Iphone to itunes.
iphone alone on PC -> uploading files (fotos) is possible
itunes starts normaly, if iphone is not conected.
if i connect iphone after starting itunes, or if i start itunes after connecting iphone i get an itunes-error with message:

i test different things...
- used another USB-port
- used another PC
- used macbook of my wife instead PC

In this context, that can sometimes indicate trouble with a content file on the phone (or Touch).
Do you have any podcasts stored on the iPhone at the moment? If so, if you delete them from the phone, can you connect to iTunes without the error? -
I have a problem.
I bought Pages and Numbers for my iMac and so far everything was OK.
Suddenly i have a problem with connection to iCloud.
Dokuments created on iMac in Pages or Numbers are not transfered to iCloud. Not uploaded to iCloud. There is a sign (small shape of iCloud), that they are waiting to be uploaded to iCloud.
I think the iCloud is OK.
i can see and manage documents in iCloud. i can create them on iPad and see them and delete them in iCloud.
But not on iMac.
i dont know what has happened and I am not abble to find the solution. It was OK till some days ago….I have a similar problem! Everything stopped working after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.4 through the App Store. Help!

I had problems with connecting to free Wifi after upgrading my PC(Notebook) to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. As I travel a lot within europe, I am used to being able to connect to Free Wifi(those that dont need a key or password to enter) but soon after downloading
Windows 8.1 I almost never was able to do this. I'd always get «LIMITED» even though the signal was strong.This was so fustrating,so much so that I reset my PC to clear it of Windows 8.1 and am now back to Windows 8.This is a shame because I was really liking
using Windows 8.1 and if not for this problem(which is a big one) I'd still be using it. If I download Windows 8.1 again from the Windows store what is the probability that I'll have the same problems?

Is this your own OS X Server system on your own network, or is this some other server within some larger organization?
You're posting this in the OS X Server forum, which is a software package that allows OS X systems to provide web-based and many other services; to become servers.
If it's your OS X Server on your network, then the network and DNS configurations are suspect, or the server is somehow malfunctioning or misconfigured. This is unfortunately fairly common, as some folks do try to avoid setting up DNS services.
If it's a larger organization and somebody else is managing the server and the network, then you'll probably need to contact the IT folks for assistance; to learn the network setup and DNS requirements, and if there's a problem with the server itself.
The basic web URL "hyper link IP address path" — without using DNS — usually looks something the following, where you'll need to replace 10.20.30.40 with the IP address of your server:

UptimeJeff has posted a URL that specifies the AFP file system; an OS X file share. That's used if you're connecting to an Apple storage service somewhere on your network. If there's local IT staff available here, please contact them for assistance. If these are your own local systems and your own local OS X Server system, then some information on the server will be needed. Problem with connecting to DB2 from ADFBC
I have a problem with connection to DB2 data using ADF BC components. Everything looks fine till I run the page(JSF) to see the data of a db2 table. I created a read only view object. This view is registered in the AM and from AM the view is returning the rows without any problem. But when I am running the page which has the view as a table these errors are thrown. GangsSteve, the tester works good as expected and its retreiving the rows. As I said earlier the problem is with the JSF page when I ran the page on Embeded Oc4j of Jdev the page showing the above. The exception does not show on the console.

Problems with new Zen firmware. Device keeps hang

I currently am facing some problems with my zen. I have used the zen for 2 mths without problems. When I recently updated the firmware, my zen keeps hanging and it turns on with dim lighting. It is unable to turn on or off and i need to do a reset in order for it to work. Can someone help? My battery keeps draining out while I sleep.Hi,I have upgraded? my firmware again and the problem seems to have stopped. However, there is a problem with viewing xvid files now. I have compress the files to 320x240 and copied them into the player and it was playing fine. After I upgraded the firmware, I get an error that the format is not supported??
