I have a table that contains data parsed for a weather station page. It also has a webcam picture on the page. Up until now, the webcam pic has loaded via an applet but I want to change that to a jquery slideshow so it's accessible to more mobile devices. My problem is that no matter what I do (aside from putting a 5x240 spacer) I can't get the table data to display below the webcam div (id="featured"). I've put the webcam and data table in their own div, the webcam's div in the table, used clear:both on the divs, tried setting block size, but it's like nothing is working. So I'm back to go and thought I'd post it here since there are so many folks here who know more about this than me. This is the html, right now with no CSS classes or anything added. So whatever you would suggest as far as div and/or table layout and any CSS would be appreciated.

Layout problem with div. on PC but ok on iPad how to fix?
hello. like the title says, im having a problem here. i im builiding my own website and am creating a page with all my personal exp. and so on. to keep it nice i created serveral div tags. here is my site:

when you go to the "CV" link in the left colum you will see the layout is ok, vertically. but there is way to much space between the created table (div tags)
on dreamweaver "live view" it shows fine with one line of space between the bottom of the table and the top of the text (trying to be as clear as possible).
but when i press Ctrl+F12 (prev in browser) it show like it is now.
on my iPad it shows just fine:
you know what i mean now?

when I try to place a horz. spry menu into a div, it hops outside the container.
I went back to the thread but could not figure out how to respond.
The site was originally built using AP Divs (including a spry menu bar). It appeared that the new menu “hopped” because the absolute position was still within the code – is that possible?
I created a new spry asset folder and started over. As you can see, it’s in the div just fine, but the buttons (font size, hover, etc.) are all messed up and I can’t figure out how to fix the problem.

I am in the process of building a template for my website. I
have built my Spry menu bar and have designated a div for to become
my "editable area." This area to become the editable area is a DIV
called "main content." It placed directly following the Spry menu
bar. I have set a CSS rule for the "main content" div as: BOX =
Float: left and Clear: both.
Why is the content (text) for the "main content" div still
jumping up along side my spry menu bar?

LukeLuke, a few problems in your code, don't use spaces in CSS
div names. Also
you don't need to place float and clear inside the same
division.

HELP- VISTA problem with div inside of div

I need some Dreamweaver CSS help. I put together a profile Web site, http://lizconnolly.com/index.html and in VISTA/IE the yellow bio box inside the gray box is being pushed down. The box looks fine in Firefox and Safari, and I am not sure what the problem is.

LizAs I said in my earlier post, the pages look similar in both IE7 and FFox. The text is very close to the bottom line, but not spilling out of the box.

Problems with CSS
I am building a new page for my company. I am trying to place the Div Footer at the bottom of the screen. I have placed (i believe) the appropriate information for the CSS.
The problem is when i minimize the browser the Footer section never leaves the screen and hovers over the other div tags. When I shrink the browser to its maximum the divs fall on top of each other.
What I would like to know is how to make the Footer div below hide like the other divs but remain at the bottom of the page instead of hovering over the other divs. I have read that I should not apply fixed divs.... is that correct?

RhythmI think it's the way I'm doing the conditional statement.
'Went through another knowledge-base article that basically had me
incorporate the conditional attribute into the <xsl:for-each
select= . . .> statement and it appears to be a better way. I
also created a xslt fragment and inserted it into a php page rather
than making the whole thing xslt. I think this helps as well, but
can't absolutely close the book on this until the server is
properly configured to transform xslt in php pages.

I have a problem with an update page on my website
Here's how it work
values are defualted in from the advert table - this works fine
I should then be able to change the fields and click on the update button
This works fine but ONLY when the O_year field is populated.
There doesn't seem to be anything special about the O_year field
I thought spry text validation would of been causing the issues, but I removed them and have the same problem.
For some reason the POST_MMupdate value is not being set to 'form4', which it is doing if O_year is set.
Please can someone have a look at this, code,
Also, is there a way of 'stepping through' dreamweaver code to debug it?

i have a problem with InternetExplorer and CallBack
In my flex code i have :

The javascript code:

In both Firefox and Chrome the javascript works in the right way.

Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome
Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome. Works in IE. This is my first time trying to post a question - so please be kind. I am also not good with code and am finding css a real challenge after learning to design based on tables. I'm using CS5.
The "test" page with the slide show is: http://www.reardanwa.com/index-slides.html The same page without the slide show is http://www.reardanwa.com/
I realize the images are not ideally sized - I'll fix those once I get the pages to function. Maybe I need a different slide show? I would prefer a widget that I can modify to required size & postition. Again - I'm not good at building with code from scratch.
The problem is the naviagation links that are directly next to the slide show do not work in Firefox of Chrome. They do work in IE.
I've read about using jQuery.noConflict(); code but can't figure out the correct way to use it in my case or whether that's even part of the solution. I know my code is not well organized as I have cobbled together from various sources in an attempt to format the page the way the client wants it. Also, FYI, I will eventually try to make the page work in Surreal CMS.
I've spent sevaral days over the last several weeks trying to solve sth slide show/navigation conflict - so any specific light you can shed will be much appreciated.

Problem with buttons in page fragment
Hi,
I'm developing a jsp-page, which has two page-fragments and one inline frame..
I've a problem with one page-fragment. This one contains three buttons, for changing the language. When someone pushes the button, it seems that there is no action triggered...

I was working with dropdowns in pagefragments consequent to your query. I noticed that there is a problem with the dropdowns too. This especially happens if you have the same components in both the page fragments. For example buttons in both the page fragments or dropdowns in both page fragments etc.
I have filed a change request on your behalf for the same.

Problem with CSS styles and Previewing in Firefox
Hello,
I recently rebooted my Mac OS X system (leopard) and reinstalled Adobe CS3. Before this I had virtually no problems with Dreamweaver and everything was running smoothly. However, now whenever I preview my pages in Safari, the CSS code is completely mangled.
Also, my site won't preview in Firefox unless I close any existing tabs and exit Firefox completely. I have no idea why these problems are occurring, but I have pasted the code below so any advice would be extemely helpful.

thanks so much for the insight on the firefox issue. hopefully they fix that soon.
as for the css, i do have a screenshot of what's happening. the background image seems to repeat after the navigation bar instead of keeping the transparent background. it's extremely odd and i've never seen it before. it can be seen in the attached photo.

Problem with Css styles not showing in live view or when i browse
I am using Mac osx 10.6 and building website with Dreamweaver CS5. Sometimes div tags i create not showing styles or rendering in live view or when I browse but showing in design view. I looked in dreamwever faq and they talk about not showing in design view to toggle the display styles. That is not the problem becuase it is check marked and I tried turning off and turning on and made no difference.I am using firefox browser.
It happened before the other day too. But all of my other pages in this site that i have created the same way building with div tags and css styles. So not sure what the problem is. Maybe someone has a suggestion here.

Problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7.
Hi guys. I have a problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7. I need to make div which width and left css properties should be dynamically changed. Inside this div i have an swf object. When i change width and left css styles for my div, it jumps on the page, but other browsers render that well. What can you suggest to fix this problem? Thanks

LM06 Processing TO's per Delivery: how to SKIP a TO
Dear colleagues, When processing a set of Pick TO's for a Delivery in LM06 I want to SKIP an item if I want to and move on to the next item. I do not see a good reason why a NEXT/SKIP button is not standard. Any idea how to reach my SKIP option? Than
