Problems with downloading camera raw 8.4

I can`t raw convert my Canon 6D files in Adobe bridge and photoshop CC5. I tried to download camera raw 8.4 and it seems to be succeeded, but it didn`t.
What is the whole procedure to download camera raw 8.4?

CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 6.7. You cannot install any later version for use with CS5.

Unfortunately the 60D requires Camera Raw 7.3 or later meaning you cannot open Raw files from the 60D in CS5.
Unless you upgrade your only option is to install the free Adobe DNG converter, convert your 60D Raw files to DNG then open the DNG files in CS5.

Problem with Adobe Camera Raw

Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on this; I've been going round in circles with all sorts trying to get Adobe Camera Raw to function on someone's laptop.
It will not recognise that he wants to open a Raw file (.cr2) into photoshop and doesn't recognise the file type.
The setup is as follows:
Win7 Professional
Photoshop CS3
Digital Photo Professional 3.5.2.0
Canon Eos 5D MkII (firmware 1.0.7)
When I go to Help > About Plugin, there are two "Camera Raw" occurences; one has version 4.6.0.30. The 2nd says "operation could not be completed. class already exists".
I've tried numerous times to update Photoshop, but every time there is an error saying there's no internet connection. I've checked and checked again and I'm 100% certain that there is no firewall software that might be blocking it somehow. The laptop is otherwise on the internet fine.
It's becoming quite a problem as we don't have the exposure and other raw format controls to adjust. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled both the Canon camera software and Photoshop.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Don't know why you do not have a internet connection. My guess is the you are running off a router with a firewall. Some websites do not like double firewalls. Try turning off Windows 7 firewall and re-download.
The free DNG converter on the Adobe download site should help you with opening the RAW file. I am thinking the camera is newer then what PS CS3 RAW supports.

Can somebody help me?I was trying to install camera raw 3.7 but the option for launching it still is disabled..i cant figure out where is the problem...can somebody explain me a little bit more about installing camera raw?i moved the camera raw.8bi into another folder but then i got confussed..it seems to me as camera raw.8bi and camera raw plug in are the same,...from then on i coulnt find the way out!!please can somebody explain me about the process!!thanks in advance

It seems you are on CS2, in which case ACR 3.7 is indeed the last version to run with it.
To install the latest plug-in put it right where the older one was, and COMPLETELY DELETE the old one; just renaming it won't do, nor will moving it to a different folder anywhere near the path will be sufficient. If you want to keep the old one, move it to your documents or data folder, FAR AWAY from the application. You could even keep just a zipped version of it.

If you ended up with a file called "Camera Raw.plugin" you may have inadvertently downloaded the Macintosh version of the plug-in by mistake. If that's the case and if you are on Windows, download the Windows version now.
Look at Dorin's screen shot for the proper name of the latest file you need for Windows:

Problem with the Camera Raw 7.1 zip file

I downloaded the Camera Raw 7.1 from the Adobe website and I cannot unpack the .zip file,there is always some CRC error, so I cannot install either. I tried through the Application Manager but the same problem happened with that one as well. I need the 7.1 for the Nikon D800. Can u help me somehow?

You need to download the file again. Your download took an error. It happens.
If it continues to happen, you may need to take it up with your internet provider; file downloads are not supposed to be corrupted by link errors, and it may be that they have some problems with their equipment.

Problem with Viewing Camera Raw/Photoshop Edited Files in Microsoft Applications

Hi
When I edit my portraits in Camera Raw or Photoshop and save as sRGB JPEGS they all look fine when viewed in Bridge, Camera Raw and Photoshop.
If I view the portraits in Microsoft Picture Viewer or create a web age of the portraits within Photoshop and view in Internet Explorer, all images look over saturated (particularly the reds) and all the portraits look like they are flushed, blushing, over heated and glowing!
Unfortunately, most people I email, send images to, or post them on the web, will be viewing them in a Microsoft application and therefore they do not appear how they should do with the reds over saturated.
Does anone have a solution to this that is not hit and miss. I do not see the point of investing in CS3 and a professional monitor if my editing looks nothing like the output. Any information would be gratefully received.

D3300 needs at least LR 5.4, the latest version is now 5.7. Its a free update.

Trouble with Adobe Camera Raw, Nikon D750, Photoshop CC 2014

I have Photoshop CC 2014 running on an HP ZBook 15 with Windows 7 Professional. I recently downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.311. I did not install the DNG converter. I shoot raw in my Nikon D750. I download the NEF images to my HP laptop using a memory card reader. I installed Bridge from Creative Cloud. When I check in Photoshop CC 2014, it says the Camera Raw 8.7.1.311 plug-in is present. But if I try to open a NEF image, it fails and says it is an unsupported file type. When I go into Bridge, the "Open using Camera Raw" option is faded and cannot be selected. So what do I do? Success! My problem was I had the old version of the Nikon software on my computer and I had used that to download the photos. I copied the NEF files directly from my memory card reader and then could open them no problem in Photoshop CC 2014. Many thanks to gener7 and all who made suggestions.

If the camera is fairly new then the version of ACR you have with CS5 won't be able to read those file. You'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop or use Lightroom 5.
Once a new version of Photoshop comes out Adobe does not support updating ACR from the older version of PS.

Which camera make and model are your Raw files from?
Camera Raw ships with Photoshop and is constantly upgraded by Adobe to keep up with new cameras as they are released to market.
It's likely that your camera requires a version of Camera Raw which is not compatible with your CS5. Or you may simply need to upgrade Camera Raw via Help > Updates in Photoshop.
