Problems with ECATT recording using SAPGUI Record
Hello,
I got a problem with my recording. All the prerequisites are done. The problem is, that when the recording is done i don't see the recording in SECATT testcase. Normally when you do a recording you see at the bottom right of the gui a red/white icon active. When i do a recording now, this red/white icon isn't active.
For my it's a very strange error. I hope somebody can give me a hint where i can look,

First when you start the recording using SAPGUI, you will get the pop-up whether to record this new session. You need to select Yes before continuing your recording.
Secondly check the scripting values in the target system whether it is enabled or disabled using the RZ11 transaction. Mostly SAP Basis team have authorization to change these values for us.
Here is the parameter we need to check in RZ11 - sapgui/user_scripting. It should be TRUE.

I've created the profile as a copy of the standard and then I changed the period type and some others fields, but the problem is with the period type. If I put weekly it works but if I put anything else it's giving me an error in the EP when I try to record time.

Problem with showing a group of records in dynamic page (PLS-00428 error)

I have problems with viewing a group of records from db. I've created Page, which "Page Type" attribute is "PL/SQL". In "PL/SQL Code" field, I've written very simple SQL query: "SELECT * FROM PORTAL_DEMO.EMP ;"
I'd like to generate HTML table with it's result. Unfortunately, every time I get the same Exception:
Error 30584: DBMS_SQL has raised an unhandled exception. ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00428: an INTO clause is expected in this SELECT statement
Is it necessary to write a COURSOR (and use HTP function) to realize this functionality? I succeed, trying this way - but it is very uncomfortable ( a lot of code ).
What I have done in wrong way?

Parameterizing the text data recorded using SAPGUI.
Hi all,
Is it possible to record the text input we are providing at item data level say for example,Packing item text for the transaction VA01 using SAPGUI recording.
I am able to capture the text input after recording those values inside but I am not able to parameterize so that I can change the data everytime to be given as input.
If it is possible to parameterize what steps that we need to followed?
It is urgent.

Vishwakarma.i dont think u can use recording method to upload ur LONG TEXTS since these texts are not stored as other fields in the table. they can instead be put using FM 'SAVE_TEXT' in which u need to provide the id,object and name. These parameters u can have an idea by going into the SApscript editor of the text ( in the transaction itself, below the box where u enter the text, u have a DETAIL button, click it), then in the editor GOTO>HEADER> u ll c the parameters.

Language
Text ID
Text object
These r to be passed to the FM to upload the text properly. The parameter NAME & ID depends on the item no.
other 2 are fixed.

Boy, you are not kidding, I was running both the cloud and CS6, and I was ready to throw in the towel.
I have changed computer's twice now, have a solid state hd, (which I love) with 10 terabytes on externals, I run NOTHING except adobe's stuff on my HD now, and only one version of it, and it runs like a dream.
So, I updated the OS to win 8.1, updated my peripherals,
I dumped CS6 (hated to, but for some reason my 3D won't work on it, it works fine with the cloud) but in CS6 the software was turning it off after adobe's last update.
I've made a virtual machine for my development environments which do not play well with adobe's stuff.
My rule of thumb has always been double what the manufacturer states is required for RAM, but imho, with my current upgrades: upgraded to win8.1, and other peripherals, spent two weeks changing stuff over and it's about 100 times better than trying to run CC and CS6. - No kidding, the change is astronomical
But for anything PC I'm way over powered, and for Adobe, I'm still underpowered.
Next, I'll just get a mac for Adobe, and stick with my pc's for ms/CentOS. Too, it seems like since the cloud was initiated Adobe is rolling out the updates faster and changes without warning. The processor/3D issue, I had no warning on it, just woke up one day and "no more 3d" :S
But I do love the cloud, so, guess there's got to be some dark lining to it. <g> -
When attempting to use Lightroom external editor program to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10, the photo does not open / appear on photoshop elements screen. I don't have any problem with this when using Photoshop Elements 6 or Photoshop CS. I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Any solutions?

Problem with SDO_relate when using polygons with holes.
I'm having a problem with sdo_relate. I'm trying to extract all elements from a point table (bdtq_batim_p) that are inside a specific polygon from another table (SDA_MUNIC_SS). The spatial index for both table have been rebuilt and the data from both table is valid.
When I do a count on the query, I know the answer should be 1422 elements (Counted in ArcGIS). However, sdo_relate gives a smaller number of elements in the result set.
The query :
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and sdo_relate( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'mask=anyinteract querytype=window') = 'TRUE'
returns 282 elements. The query with mask=inside, SDO_Anyinteract() and SDO_inside() all give the same result.
I did a test with the following query and the result is 1422 (which is the good result).
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE';
It's important to note that the polygone (from SDA_MUNIC_SS) that is used for this query have holes in it. I have the same problem with all the polygons from the SDA_MUNIC_SS table that have holes in it. For the polygon without holes, the results are the same for the 2 queries.
My question are :
Why are the result from the two queries different? A query with a buffer of 0 should always return the same result as a query with Anyinteract.
Is there a known problem with SDO_RELATE when using a polygon with holes in it?
Do you have any idea how to solve my problem.Since i don't have much control on the version of Oracle and Patches that we use in the system, we used a workaround that detects the polygons with holes and uses the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE' operator in those case. We saw a slight decline in performance but it now returns the right results. When the system will be patched, we'll come back to the original version and see if the problem is solved.

Is there a problem with Apple Mail using IMAP? Having a problem syncing to our mail server: doesn't sync properly when multiple devices use same mail acct. Spoken w/ mail hosting provider who says Apple Mail doesn't follow IMAP protocol properly leaving Apple Mail users to experience a variety of problems when connecting to IMAP accounts. Among them:
- Improper syncing
- Proliferation of drafts during composition of an email.
- Connections on the mail host do not close automatically and proliferate over time until the host rejects further connection requests.
Hosting provider goes on to suggest turning off IDLE command. In my experience turning this feature off did not improve the situation. In fact, it created a few.
Question: Is the hosting provider correct in faulting Apple Mail?

CS 4 Dynamic Link to Encore doesn't work most of the time. Encore stops operating after opening and periodically Premier Pro stops working. I'm told that there has been a problem with CS4 when using Dynamic Link to go to Encore and build CD's. Is there a way around this? Is there a patch to correct it?

If DL is not working properly for you the way around this is to export from Premiere to either mpeg2-dvd for DVD or BluRay H.264 for BD-disks and import the files in Encore. -
Problem with audio quality using Record Audio Comment
I am recording audio comments in Adobe Acrobat Professional using the "Record Audio Comment" tool. The sound quality is bad--very scratchy and has a noisy hum. I am using a good USB headset/microphone. Recordings outside of Acrobat are fine, e.g., in Audacity. I have tried two different microphones with both Acrobat 8 and 9 on two different computers (a desktop and a laptop) with similar results.
I have not found an audio quality setting in Acrobat. Is there some way to improve the audio quality when recording comments? I suspect Acrobat is compressing the audio so much in order to save file size, however, the poor quality makes it almost unusable.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice. I know I can record outside of Acrobat and then add the pre-recorded audio as a comment, but that defeats the purpose.
BevSorry to hear you are having problems.
A few things you can try:
1. Turning the volume of your TV up too high during a call can cause the kinds of audio problem you describe. Try turning the TV volume down and this should stop the 'feedback' problems you are having.
2. If you are using external speakers, then try switching these off and using the speakers built in to the TV. The TV was originally tested for Skype using the TV's internal speakers, so if you have a soundbar or other external speakers connected, the audio performance may suffer on Skype calls.

Problems with Canon XA 10 XLR Recording level
when I record using the XLR Channel 1 on my XA10, then import the video clip into video editing programs, the playback level is very low or not there at all when I play the DVD on my home intertainment system, using my Pioneer AV Receiver. Is there another setting on the XA10 where the playback level can be adjusted?
Volume sounds okay with headphones, but very low without headphones, even with the slider all the way up. One thing which is likely a factor is that I had to turn on Mic Attenuation when using XLR recording, due to sound distortion in higher DB ranges. A third factor is that the extremely low audio level is most pronounced when I play the video back using my Pioneer VSX-520 AV Tuner amp (using HDMI cable from DVD player to tuner). The sound track from the XA10 XLR input is too low on all listening modes except "advance surround". If I bypass the tuner, there is no problem, but I prefer not to have to do that, since all other DVD audio, such as movie DVDs, and CD tracks added to videos, have normal audio volume.

After loading, I checked the contents of ODS, there are 6 records(0project, ZAU_C108 are blank, other fields are correct) + 1 more record(ZPS_TXMID,0project, ZAU_C108 are correct, other fields are blank), what I expect is only 6 records with all fields being filled properly, no blanks, no extra records. Is it strange? or am I doing sth. wrong?

Java API, problem with secondary keys using multi key creator
Hi,
I'm developing an application that inserts a few 100k or so records into a Queue DB, then access them using one of four Hash SecondaryDatabases. Three of these secondary dbs use a SecondaryMultiKeyCreator to generate the keys, and one uses a SecondaryKeyCreator. As a test, I'm trying to iterate through each secondary key. When trying to iterate through the keys of any of the secondary databases that use a SecondaryMultiKeyCreator, I have problems. I'm attempting to iterate through the keys by:
1: creating a StoredMap of the SecondaryDatabase
2: getting a StoredKeySet from said map
3: getting a StoredIterator on said StoredKeySet
4: iterate
The first call to StoredIterator.next() fails at my key binding (TupleBinding) because it is only receiving 2 bytes of data for the key, when it should be getting more, so an Exception is thrown. I suspected a problem with my SecondaryMultiKeyCreator, so I added some debug code to check the size of the DatabaseEntries it creates immediately before adding them to the results key Set. It checks out right. I also checked my key binding like so:
1: use binding to convert the key object to a DatabaseEntry
2: use binding to convert the created DatabaseEntry back to a key object
3: check to see if the old object contains the same data as the new one
Everything checked out ok.
What it boils down to is this: my key creator is adding DatabaseEntries of the correct size to the results set, but when the keys are being read back later on, my key binding is only receiving 2 bytes of data. For the one SecondaryDatabase that doesn't use a SecondaryMultiKeyCreator, but just a SecondaryKeyCreator, there are no issues and I am able to iterate through its secondary keys as expected.
EDIT: New discovery: if I only add ONE DatabaseEntry to the results set in my SecondaryMultiKeyCreator, I am able to iterate through the keys as I would like to.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Sorry about the delayed response here. I have created a patch that resolves the problem.
If you apply the patch to your 4.6.21 source tree, and then rebuild Berkeley DB, the improper behavior should be resolved.
