Why when i turn on the find my iphone the system always turn it off afterwards

once you turn it on, its on. It does not show up as an app running, but it is registered, and if you lose your device, you can trigger the find feature from another phone or computer.

Problems with Find My iPhone/iPod

It doesn't seem to able to locate the exact location of my iPod Touch. I have connected and disconnected wi-fi on my iPod Touch a few times to see if that helps. But it doesn't. MobileMe seems to say my iPod Touch is 10 blocks away from where I currently am when my iPod Touch is with me. This isn't just with the Find My iPhone/iPod tool though. The same goes with Google Earth app for the iPod Touch. They both tell me my iPod is 10 blocks away from where it currently stands. Does this problem only happen on some countries? I'm currently in New Zealand if that helps.

I really didn't think about it that way. Yeah bits of it is true. But if wi-fi tracking isn't that accurate, shouldn't the location change each time it is reset? Because I have tried resetting and it always gives me the same address that it did before I reset the wi-fi connection on my iPod.
There is one other thing that I forgot to mention. It showed me my exact location when I connected wi-fi internet through my cousin's internet connection a block away from where I lived.

does anybody have a problem getting an iphone4 to show up as a device on "find my iphone"

I assume the iphone is logged into an icloud account and in Settings>icloud, you have turned on Find My iPhone. Right?
On what device or computer are you searching for the iphone? Using the Find My iPhone app or looking at icloud.com via a browser?

Having problems with find my iphone map

The basic map appears and but you cannot zoom in or out or change it hybrid or satellite map. The three buttons bottom right corner are now a bright green. I am using windows 8 and tried it on both explorer and google chrome. It used to work great up until about two weeks ago. Anyone know why this is happening on icloud.com?

Problems with 'Find My iPhone' & Making Phone Calls

Find my iPhone was installed in my iPhone 4 and I would like to ask a few questions as stated below:
1. When I lost my iPhone, can I find where my iPhone is? My wifi option is usually turned off to save battery and the cellular data is also turned off as the Internet package in my country is not cheap.
2. When I try to access find my iPhone on a pc with the conditions above, my iPhone cannot be located. Does it related to the settings in 'Mail, Contacts and Calendars'? The Find My iPhone option is on in the iCloud tab and in the 'Fetch New Data' tab, 'push' is on and fetch 'manually'.
3. Sometimes, when I go to certain areas, I can't make a phone call or receive messages as well. I try to restart my iPhone but it doesn't seemed functioning at all. I tried to type *#06# several times in the phone interface, but it didn't show me anything. After a time, I figured out that after I turned on and off 'cellular data' then only it returned to normal condition. The imei number also will pop out a few times as I typed in the phone interface several times.

HT204053 I have another Apple ID from when I originally set up this iPod, now I can't reset it as I am also set up with Find My iPhone which may have been doen by mistake I have been in contact with Apple itself and they can't fix the problem so far

i have originally forgotten my pass code for a new iPod Touch, now I have with Apple's help reset it to factory, my issue is due to the change in my Apple ID , the iPod will not let me set it up under the new Id or the old one.I also have been set up with find my iPhone and I don't remember if I did this or not, could have been the grand children trying to help out. Any ideas or suggestions, I haven't even used this yet and I have owned it for 6months already. Really am disappointed that the process is so difficult to navigate.

I have also noticed the same "problem". I do not fully understand the impact of using the same ID on multiple computers and devices if I want to keep them all in sync.

After update iPhone has an activation screen and asks previous owner’s Apple ID and Password. I don’t know Apple ID and Password; I haven’t communication with him. I can not use my iPhone 4 days. I am so disappointed this situation. Can you help me to disable this function, please?
Serial No of my iPhone is 69******A45 and IMEI is ******. I attach photos of the box and iphone.

Stolen iMac with "Find my iPhone"

I have a little problem. My iMac from my office was stolen. Now i do not remember registering or setting up the "Find my iphone" on my mac. However when i sign into my apple id on the icloud website, my imac is there. Does that mean my imac is registered? Or is it simply there because that was a product i bought under my account? I hate doing this but a quick answer will be very much appreicated since my imac is for my bussiness

Of course other people have had problems. However, just knowing that other people have had some vague, undefined "network problems" most likely isn't going to be very useful. You'll get more and better help if you can give some details about your specific problem. Include who your carrier is, what country you're in. Then describe the exact nature of the problem. Then, maybe someone will be able to give good suggestions.
And, by the way, the free bumper program ended some time ago. It also was only a "solution" for one of many possible problems.

You need to download the free Find my iPhone application from the App Store.

simply try doing a back up and restore
when going thru the activation screen, select SET UP AS NEW and then test your device. if it is not shutting down then it could be 1 or more apps tht have been downloaded wch could be affecting the device
you will then need to follow the process of eleimnation, meaning add 2 apps and then monitor your phone, if nothing happes then add another couple of them and then check
