Problems with Gaming

Alot of games including a important game Planetside 2 i have problems with as soon as i dl windows 10. My info Graphics card-NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 processor- AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4 GHz System type- 64-bit
Installed memory (RAM)- 8 GB. If you could answer this or fix this as soon as you can that would be cool. THX for the preview tho it looks amazing other than it messes with a few games.

If you mean the game won’t play well on Windows 10 Technical Preview, please take a try to run it under compatibility mode.
Right-click on the executable file, select Properties, on the Compatibility
Tab, select Run this program in compatibility mode for,
see:
Choose the version that the game works with.
From the picture that you have shared, the issue seems to be related with the video card,
please make sure the video card meets the requirements to run those games. We could confirm this at the official website of that game.

Still connection problem with gaming.

after having an update on 23 of January.i started getting problem on some of my games.i cant go online.My friend has Virgin media,i tried going online on his console with my account and it worked perfectly fine.I tried everything from reseting the router or deleting data utilities on my PS3 still i get that number of connection closed,blocked logs on the events.its been over a month and still i am unable to go online on some of my fav. games.this is too frustating.i contacted BT technicall service.they said oh we had a fix for that but still **bleep**.A lot of **bleep**.why dont you just go back to the previous firmware you use to have.i can see alot of BT users are having problem specially GTA V PS3.i tried everything from port forwarding to everything.NO NOTHING NOt

I have had exactly the same problem. We found that a G4 was okay, but a MacBook (2 months old) and MacBook Pro (1 day old) were having problems.
The newer machines have a 802.11/B/G/N interface, and the router is just B/G. For some reason this causes issues, unless: you update the firmware on the router.
I did this last night (series 1 DSG834G), and my Mac connected instantly. I tried it again this morning and it was okay. So fingers crossed on this one.
Interestingly, my iPod Touch is perfect, not a quibble. According to Apple it only has B/G... Same for Nintendo Wii and my IBM Thinkpad... Hence only the Macs with the faster interface have an issue.
Give it a whirl. If it turns out not to work, I'll update.

Problems with gaming and heat

I am trying to run the tow games nexuiz and halo. Both of them on fairly low settings, yet they often end up with a choppy framerate, and a very unpleasant gaming experience. I am running them on a black macbook witha 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo processor, and max ram with 2GB of DDR2 in it. I know macs aren't exactly made to run intense gaming, but the intel GMA 950 should be more than capable of running a game as old as Halo, especially with 2 Gigs of installed memory. Anyone knows why it is doing this? Also, my temps (as monitored by istat nano widget) are really really high (about 60 to sometimes 72 degrees Celsius) this worries me as I have never heard of a processor safely running this hot. Any help would be muey buenos.

Problems with gaming - Quake 4

Dunno if anybody know how to answert this: How do I use the tilde key to activiate the console inside Quake 4. Have tried option+ctrl and tilde (got a Norwegian keyboard) but no console. Nothing happens. Help!!!

Problems with gaming- MI424

hi, I've been trying to set up my network to allow me to play world of warcraft on my PC-
i've forwarded all the necessary ports, and used a port checker to ensure that they're open on my end (i'm trying to play on a computer connected wirelessly, the router is on my dad's computer).
everything works fine when i plug in directly, but when i try to go wireless, it disconnects me everytime i try to log in.
browsing works just fine, and i have a strong signal, but when i try to login to the game, i get disconnected from my network completely.
my router, modem, and network cards are all up to date, i've established static ip's, etc.
i couldn't find much help from blizzard entertainment, so i thought i'd check here to see if anybody had any ideas.

I have a problem with sound card

I Have MSI 865PE Neo2-S Motherboard.
I have downloaded the new Sound Card Driver, and I have problems with gaming in 5.1ch
In Unreal Tournament 2004 my computer resets when it is set to 3D Sound + EAX
In the old version of the sound card Driver the Unreal Tournament 2004 was working good, but in the old version I have problems with the SPDIF out
In the new version the SPDIF working very good but I have problems with gaming
How can I fix that?

have you tried unistalling the sound drivers and then re-installing? Its a shame I don't have Unreal Tournament 2004 as i have the same motherboard as you and I could try it. Why do you need to set your in-game sound to 3D Sound + EAX? 3D sound I always thought its didnt sound very good.

GTX 760 2gb/oc problem with games

hi,
i cant play most games. They crash after a few seconds to minutes. AC IV, Splintercell,World of tanks...
They freeze, sometimes I get a blue screen of death.
If I run kombustor, then the same thing happens. After a few minutes, sometimes 5 minutes, it freezes, and the pc restarts.

I have reinstalled Windows 7, new drivers.
But the problem stays.
The store already switched my card, with an other, but the problem stays with this new card.
The computer runs fine,
just problems with gaming.
Any ideas on what's causing it? or suggestions to fix it?
Not enough power supply?

No it is not. It's not possible to get the max by an addition. A split rail psu offers more than one rail which can be individually loaded up to the max amperage it is specified for. However that doesn't meant all rails can deliver the max simultanously. Earthwatts 500 included in that Sonata case should still have the specs I added. Add a pic of your psu's spec sticker to check it.

Problems with pacman applet, and advice on a gaming portfolio

I recently made a pacman applet, im having a few problems with it though, the first time the applet is run on a browser, the ghosts(represented by squares) often dont appear or if they do, they are stuck in walls, this never happens when i run offline on my computer. Is this because the very first time the applet is run, it doesnt load properly, but the second time some of the files are in the cache so it loads fully?
Also everytime i refresh the browser the applet dissapears and is replaced with a blank space and a cross in the top left hand corner, does anyone know the reason for this?

Id also be very gratful for some advice - id like a change in career, ive always wanted to get into gaming, ive had some previous knowledge in java i made a programme that could generate its own poetry in java for my dissatation, but i still never had a huge amount of confidence, and so went into websites.
BUT now i have decided to take the leap back into programming and give it a go, which is why ive made this game.
I thought id make a portfolio and try and apply for a few gaming jobs. This applet took me two weeks to make and it was in my spare time, i am fully aware its not perfect, and it doesnt look great, but i would like to know what people think of it, also how many more games do you think i should make, before i apply for gaming jobs? Does anyone have any advice on what would make a good portfolio for a java gaming job?

Look at the stack trace you get in the Java Console that I posted earlier. Each line contains a method that was called from the method on the previous line. Btw when you first ran the applet, did all the ghosts(3) load up correctly?Unfortunately, no. The first time I ran it, there was only 1 ghost (or maybe all 3 overlapping each other?) at the top of the screen, and they never moved. Refreshing once made the game play as I think you want it to. Refreshing a third time gave the dreaded red X.
...oh and just out of curiosity,,, did u have fun playing the game :DSure did.

Problem with JPWR2 on a X99S GAMING 7

Currently I have a problem with JPWR2 on a X99S GAMING 7 Motherboard. When I plug a 6 pin or a 8 pin on the JWPR2 the motherboard crash and the cable overheat or short-circuit. My power supply is a 1000W SIlent pro bronze. I tested with a new cable on another port on the power supply but it doesn’t work. I tested with without CPU too but still the same problem.
Can someone help me ?

you are using the Cooler master 1000W silent pro bronze right?
Normally the power supply should have 4 pin or 8 pin, the 6pin/8pin is normally for the VGA card and not for the Motherboard.
Please double check again and use the 4 pin or 8 pin for the MB.

Router problems with online gaming

Hi,
I have problems with online gaming. My router is Linksys wrt54g2 and modem is ZTE ZXDSL 831AII and with two computers. I can't play any onlines game for example Counter-Strike 1.6 or Counter-Strike: Source. When I'm trying to connect in those games servers when it loads too bars I'm geting error that says: "Connection failed after 4 retries". Also I can't play StrongHold, Combat Arms and Battlefield2. I try to bypassing my router by connecting computer directly to my modem and games works. What I should do? Please help me.

Do you have problems with web browsing or other online applications? If not, the problem may lie with the games themselves. It's possible the games require ports to be forwarded to work correctly. Check the game documentation and see if this is the case.

Gaming-Graphics problem with MacBook White Unibody (Late 2009)

Hello there, this is going on:
When I open any game (like call of duty 4) it seems to work ok, 90-125 fps as it should be (800x600 minimum graphics), and this happens the first 5-10 minutes i'm playing, then it starts to seriously lag itself, FPS goes down to 30-40 fps with a veeery poor performance, unplayable, for like 5-10 minutes, and then it starts to work fine again. I can't exactly explain it, but I don't see the fans running faster, they stay steel, the MacBook starts to heat a little and that's all I can tell.
I though this was a Mac OS X problem with the video card, but same thing happens on Boot Camp, with Windows 7, with ANY game i'm playing. Then I tried to restart the PRAM and SMC, but I don't have any solution.
Is this a Hardware problem? Is this happening just to me or is there anybody who has this problem, too? Help! and thanks in advance.

I have had this problem for the last year with iRacing and lately F1 2010.
In good news, I seem to have solved it last week. I did some googling and saw a few posts that suggested it could be due to the GPU overheating. To test this I downloaded and installed Speedfan in windows and smcFanControl in OSX.
Both apps will enable you to monitor the temp of your CPU and GPU. I noticed generally in OSX the GPU hits a max of around 72 degrees Celsius. When I switched to windows and fired up iRacing and then F1 2010 I noticed it was all fine till the GPU hit around 90 degrees Celsius. At that point it the FPS drop kicked in and I went from 70 odd FPS in iRacing to 20 FPS.
To get around the problem, You can turn up the fan speed, which will stop the GPU from getting so hot. Unfortunately for a reason I don't understand SpeedFan will not allow you to control the speed of the fan in windows. So you need increase the speed to 5000 - 6000 RPM using smcFanControl in OSX. If you restart then fire up Windows the fan speed will stay at the higher rate you have set.
Since I started doing that my FPS drop problems seem to have disappeared.
The problem is if you then put windows to sleep, when you wake it up again the fan will go back to the default speed. So if you need shut the lid of your laptop, you have to restart to Mac OSX, then set the fan speed, the restart to windows. Painful but better than FPS drops.
If anyone has any other thoughts on any of this stuff I would love to hear it.

Disconnection problems with online gaming - world ...

Other users on BT have alos reoported issues with game hangs and diconnection issues with World of Tanks.
They seem to have started a few days ago. Someitme it is intermittant other times it can last for several minutes.

Having the same issue since yesterday 6th September 2012.
World of Tank client keeps disconecting, then has issues logging back in to the client.
This seems to be hapening to a lot of other players in the UK all on BT

BT had the same problem with World of Warcraft recently, something to do with a BT peering issue. I can only hope this problem is sorted soon.
No other internet activity is affected.

Problems with FPS while gaming on MBPr Retina

Ok, I have a Macbook Pro Retina 2012. I recently started playing games on it, most seem to be ok but I'm running Windows Via VMware Fuision, it worked great...for a time. I am playing a game, that at times, has a lot of graphic qulaity and a lot going on at one time. I lowered the quilaty but still it seems jumpy like the the GPU cant keep up with the FPS. I and a 1Gb GPU. Is there anything else I can do to stop this and let in play as normal or this a problem with something different than that GPU?? I was looking into external GPUs but that seems WAY too expensive, at the moment until that design one espcailly for it. Just looking for some friendly advice.

Install Windows via BootCamp this allows the game you are playing to use all of the resources the computer has. Using VM Ware your computer has to power both Windows and Mac at the same time. Therefore performs slower. Also the GPU has to power a higher resolution screen (Retina Display) which will lower FPS.

MSI Z97 Gaming 3 problems with ram

Sorry for my bad english. I have only one bank of ram 4GB Kingston Fury 1866MHz and some problems with it. When it's installed on DIMM1, in UEFI BIOS, in Windows 8.1 Pro x64, aida64, cpuz, ram saw as DIMM3! If it's installed DIMM2 saw as DIMM4, or installed DIMM3 saw as DIMM1! What's that? What kind of problem on my motherboard?
Fresh BIOS version 2.6 installed.
