i will ask for the user enter a negative number at last. i write a program with scanner but after entering a number, user have to press "enter" but i want to do this like;
java Average 4 5 6 8 7 -1
I copied program here..
import java.util.Scanner;
public class Average{
public static void main(String args[]){
Scanner inpt = new Scanner(System.in);
int a=0, total=0;
int sayac=0;
while(a>=0){
total += a;
sayac++;
System.out.println("enter a number");
a = inpt.nextInt();
}//while
double avrg = (double)total/sayac;
System.out.println("avrg = "+avrg);
}//main
}//class

Problem with the input file format to be stored in database
Hi,
I am facing some problem with the input format. I am using the table name as data.employee. But i could not able to process the message forward. I am getting this error,
com.ibm.db2.jcc.c.SqlException: java.sql.Connection.close() requested while a transaction is in progress on the connection.The transaction remains active, and the connection cannot be closed.
Can you please help me prposing a solution for this format.
Thanks,
SOoryaI think you are missing out the COMMIT operation.
At the DB2 end before closing the connection if you do a 'COMMIT' then this may remove your error.
i.e. after you close the Resultset>close the statement object> perform 'COMMIT' operation--> then close the connection.

FORM 2100_WS_DOWNLOAD TABLES INP_DATA.Hi,
Thnaks for your reply, This is my requirement.
Here my problem is i am trying to upload the data from flatfile which contain materil number, denominator, Actual UOM, Nominator field values.
Which is the data i need to upload into MM02 and MM01, if material number is new then it has to create the material, if material is already existing it has to update the UOM values.
here i am getting data into my internal table INP_DATA, from that i am trying to upload the data to database by using job name MRP_MATERIAL_MASTER_DATA_UPLOAD with direct input program RMDATIND.
when i execute my program i am getting success message all the records writtin from flatfile to application server. and job started message.
then if i go into sm37 screen there i execute the job it is also giving active message. if i refresh it it is showing job completed message.
then i look at job log status. there i found that for existing material it is expecting material type, for new material it is giving some gravity error.
So could u help me in this it will be gr8.
Thanks & Regards,

Problem with midi input in Mainstage
Hi all,
I have a keyboard connected to my mac via USB midi interface.
When I'm trying to play midi instruments in Garage Band - it works very well, no significant latency and no other problems.
But in Mainstage the situation with the midi input is different. When I press a key on my keyboard, it plays the sound, then stops responding to other midi commands for about 2-3 seconds. And then after I press another key, it plays it, and stops responding again.
The "CPU" and "Memory" indicators at the top show a low load.
All in all, it's just impossible to play a midi instrument in Mainstage.
As the midi interface is working correctly in GarageBand and doesn't work well in Mainstage, I suspect that it's a Mainstage's software problem. But I haven't found anything like that on the Internet. Any ideas?
Devices: Macbook Pro 13" (2011), M-Audio MidiSport Uno...
Thanks!I can input Chinese in Firefox, but there are
problems with the display of characters in input
fields for searches, etc.
Can you provide a specific example of a particular search box (url) and exactly what the "problem" is (TC or SC, characters involved, etc)? I would like to try and duplicate it. Perhaps the encoding in View > Text Encoding needs to be adjusted for that page for some reason (though normally that should affect all browsers).
Since Apple has nothing to do with FireFox, you might want to report the issue to the people responsible for that program (mozilla.org I think), since it may be a bug they can fix. -
Problem with sound input/output settings
Hello--
Last night, my iBook suddenly stopped playing any sounds at all: itunes, CDs, etc, won't play at all. I looked in system preferences/sound, and the computer told me that there are no input or output devices at all. What's more, the sound seems to me on permanent mute, and it won't allow me to change it at all (F4 and F5 functions just show a "mute" sign under the volume bar). Is this a problem with the software, hardware, or what? Thanks in advance for any advice,

You wouldn't say that noeqplease if you had to deal with the French manual like our friend jules here (and myself for that matter) The French manual is a total joke. It was obviously translated by someone who hasn't the first notion of anything vaguely musical or DAW or sequencer or mixing, or of musical equipment of any kind ! Example : Channel strip translates to "Éléments des bandes de canaux" which, if translated back into English becomes "Elements of bands of canals" - and the whole manual is of the same ilk !!! I kind of wonder if the translations weren't done in an automatic translation programme I don't know if other languages suffer from the same "rubbish" translation - it could be subject of an amusing thread here "Silly excerpts from Logic Pro Manuals" or something -
Problem with Zhuyin input in Mountain Lion
Zhuyin input from Lion to Mountain Lion is uncomfortably differently. If you type a wrong word by mistake the dictionary would remember the wrong word and you could not override the auto-fix by typing the right word like in Lion. For example, if I type AB instead of AA (assuming both A and B are Chinese characters), then the Zhuyin system remembers AB indefinitely, unlike in Lion I could just type AA a few times and it would become the primary choice/fix for dictionary. Can anyone verse with Zhuyin help me on this matter?
Actually, the new Zhuyin input in Mountain Lion is totally broken to me. Not only the behavior that you point out, but more importantly (at least for me) is that you MUST type tones to find the proper character, and if you ever make a mistake in a chain, you have to start again from scratch. You cannot type "toneless" chains anymore, like "ㄨㄟㄕㄣㄇㄜ", this is just stupid. I've learned by ear, and like many Taiwanese (though I'm not one ^^), I don't know exactly which tone to type. I've read somewhere that the new pinyin input in Mountain Lion had the opposite behavior : tones are ignored (or something like that).
I've already sent Apple a report through their feedback form, the day after Mountain Lion's release. 10.8.1 is out, nothing has changed at all. So I've sent them another report.
I don't know what's wrong with Apple there, I don't get why they had to break a perfectly working input.
If you're experiencing a problem, please send them a report here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
It seems like it's the only way to make things move, and if I'm alone, they'd probably not listen to me ^^ -
Problem with multiple inputs / sequential shaders in flash
Hi,
I'm working with pixelbender for the first time and having a little difficulty understanding a couple of things.
The project is a little flash game with pixel art spaceships, and I've embedded a couple of pixelbender shaders into the swf. I'm writing an editor where you draw an rgba image, the editor infers a greyscale heightmap (at the moment this is done in flash with a blur handcoded using getPixel/setPixel) I use that height map as the source image to make a normal map via a pixel bender shader, I then have another pixelbender shader waiting to take the rgba image and the normal map as two inputs, add a few parameters, with the expected result of a nicely lit sprite output.
The first problem is accessing the result of the normal map shader to pipe it into the lighting shader. The normal map displays perfectly on screen, but my normalMap.bitmapData still contains the unmodified height map image, how do I get at the post-filter image data to send it to the next shader?
The second problem is a bit trickier.. I first thought it was just a minor bug in the pixel bender toolkit, compiling for flash when using multiple source images has an issue where only one source image is scaled. I thought the problem would go away eventually because I am using two identically sized bitmaps for source. However, now that it is in a swf, the output is inside a sprite, and this parent sprite has scale and rotation applied to it. The shader output shows one scaled and rotating image mixed with an unscaled, unrotating image in the top left corner. Even if I make a new sprite, and apply the filter before applying the scale / rotation, the effect persists. This does not seem to effect shaders with a single source - they can be scaled and rotated freely. Is there any solution for this short of ditching the two input shader altogether?
I'm hoping i've missed something simple, but any help at all would be appreciated, thanks.Sorry for the double post, after a bit of further experimenting I've swapped the order of the two source bitmap parameters, the result is now spectacularly wrong when running as flash within pixelbender, but still fine as GPU or CPU... if someone could tell me exactly why this is breaking it would help a lot with my other problems:

Problems with Mapping Input Parameter
Hi everybody,
just another question. I have a Mapping with an Mapping Input Parameter. If i provide a Parameter with an prefixed 0 e.g.: 01234 the output of this is 1234.
How can i manage this that the output of the Input Parameter ist 01234 and not like now 1234?
Many thanks in advance.
GreetingsThe Mapping Input Parameter is of type varchar2 and it still gives 1234. The Problem is i have to provide the whole input parameter for logging proposes. I managed this now by building a workflow an provide the mapping input parameters to new variables. Now the Input 01234 gives 01234....:-)
Does anybody know another solution for this problem?

Score staff problems with keyboard input
Hi. I am trying to input midi keyboard notes, in real time, into Logic Pro. This works fine. However, I'd also like to create a reasonable, normal score from those notes. The problem is that the notes are divided between the bass and treble clefs. This isn't at all readable when, for example, a chord played with the right hand is say, an A minor chord with the C note being middle C. The 3 notes should all appear in the treble clef.
When I try to move the note from the bass clef to the treble clef, I get messages that I need poly voicing and when I follow the help files to add another voice, I get a new clef. The only way I've been able to figure out how to do this is to record the left hand and right hand parts in different tracks, separately, which is quite cumbersome.
This ought to be easy! What am I missing?i have to say i have created extremely complex and sophisticated concert music scores using logic. it can be done despite a myriad of problems and bugs. it's great advantage is flexibility and speed, there is nothing wrong with what it should be able to do, it just trips you up at the very last hurdle - hugely frustrating because it gets you there well ahead of the game.
i can tell you through the grapevine that improvements and upgrading are on the way for the score editor. it is very useful to have the likes of all the people on this thread posting because score users are under represented on the forum. logic developers don't realize how many of its users depend on its score features, because most of us don't post.
now some important tips:
- you can set a default score style in the arrange window in the paramters box when you click on a midi instrument track. that means whenever you create a midi region it will be in that score style.
- being able to select score styles for different regions is a good thing!!!! this way you can speed up your work flow incredibly - way way faster than sibelius or finale.
Rests have to be written instead of automatically appearing.
rubbish! you can set the rests to appear automatically. use differing score styles.
I wanted to say that I am hugely disappointed with apple's neglect of the score windo
now there i am with you brother.
if you want to see what can be achieved using score in logic, even in the state it's in you can have a look at a sample of my violin concerto i have at my website:

Maybe somebody can help...
I'm sending audio signal to the input of my macbook pro...I see the input in the sound section of my system preferences..but hear nothing from headphones or speakers...nothing is muted and all off the input & output adjustments are at about 75%.
Speakers & headphones work fine when playing audio content from within the macbook..
I did this all the time with my old g4...no problem.....what am I missing ?
Thanks !i'm having exactly the same problem.
i can see the input level on the input section of system preferences, but cannot hear it.
furthermore: i'm also trying to record said input in Logic Pro 8, but anytime i monitor "input 1-2" i get horrible feedback from the internal speaker, even though i've changed the input source to line in. -
Problem with Audio Input - Creative Megaworks 250D 2.1
Hello there, I've been trying to find some info on this on www and this board, but no result so far...
This is my main problem : Digital Input and Analogue input only plays right channel (left channel doesn't work).
Ie, left speaker doesn't produce any sound.
Analogue input 2 works completely fine, plays both channels as supposed so there's obviously no speaker/connection problem
(so I think it's the input - note that I used same cable for both analogue 1/2 when testing).
(Also, using headphones will produce same result, only right channel out for digital+analogue , work completely fine for analogue 2).
I think that I may happened to play both sound inputs (analogue/digital) simultanously at one point around the time when this
error started occuring. Can this have produced something? (why would it?)
Is it possible to fix?
I should add I've tried turning the system off completely and even resting it a few days unplugged...
thank you in advance, hope someone replies
Message Edited by MrMarcusAur on 07-20-2009 06:28 AMUpdate on the issue: if sound is being played at a "too low" volume (input via 2nd analogue input), eventually;the speaker system will remove left sound from left speaker (as with other two inputs) until I raise the volume quite a lot,
and it is "activated to play again" (after this I can lower the volume and it keeps playing, until cycle above repeats)
Anyone has any clue?
thanks

Java debugging - problems with standard input
Hi
I hope somebody can help me with this problem.
I'm developing a Java app that reads from the standard input. I use System.in.read() to do that. When I debug it, I use the Standard I/O window instead of the Run Log window to pass in values, but nothing happens (i.e. the line following the read() is never reached). I also tried to run the app and then attach the debugger to use the Run Log window as standard input, with the same result. If I add a breakpoint before the call to read(), the debugger pauses the execution, so I suppose the breakpoints are OK.
In the executable Info window, Debugging tab, I use the pseudo terminal with the Java debugger.
So my question is: how can I enter values from the standard input in debugging mode?I believe that you are seeing these problems because we have found the
current versions of RMI found in the JDK to be inherently unscalable -- we
do not listen for them. As you noticed, we recommend that you use our
packages for now, and then do the simple change that you found if you decide
that you do not like WLS. (If you do decide that you do not like us, please
definitely let us know why you chose the way you did!)
Thanks,
Michael

We're developing a J2EE application on NT using WLS 5.1, SP3, but we don't
want to be tied to any particular J2EE server, so we're making sure that
none of our code is weblogic specific.
In keeping with this philosophy, I created an RMI service that used the
standard java.rmi.* imports instead of weblogic.rmi.* and used thestandard
RMIC compiler rather than the weblogic.rmic compiler.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the system to work. I kept getting
"java.rmi.MarshalException: Error marshaling transport header; nested
exception is: java.io.EOFException" whenever I'd call Naming.lookup().
Of course, when I did the search & replace with java.rmi.* with
weblogic.rmi.*, and switched from the standard rmic to weblogic.rmic,
everything started working just fine. This is the ONLY change I made!
Has anyone else run into similar problems?

TORCH 9800 " How to stop the DATA Wiping due to Problems with Password Input "
PHONE TYPE:
Torch 9800 (1256)
PROBLEM:
On Friday, April 5th ... after several attempts of inputting my screen password I was constantly told by the 9800 that the wrong password was being attempted; which I know I did input the right PW . [ I believe that one key pertaining to the PW string is faulty and therefore not accepting the right character ] . When I had suffered prior password issues after several attempts the 9800 indicated on the screen that I would be locked out for 15 minutes until I could attempt again. This time after attempting what I believe was 9 times I suffered a "OMG" (Oh My God) situation where-in I believe the screen indicated to me that information would be erased; at that point I saw a progressive bar appear on the screen with the word "WIPING" and I immediately opened the back of the phone and removed the battery to stop the wipe at 40%.
One hour+ later I inserted the battery back into the 9800 and once again the data wipe bar appeared on the screen and I pulled the battery to halt the wipe at 20%.
I went to the Blackberry Official web site and sought out any solutions to stopping the data wipe in the Torch 9800 manuals and other service areas and there was no mention of the data wipe. I sought out other web sites for solutions and there was none... I also referenced a number of Black Berry forums and found that there where mentions of the same issue I was experiencing BUT no solutions.
I then pulled my sim card and inserted it into another Torch 9800 I maintain as a backup and when I went to my Mac Book Pro to connect the alternate 9800 and transfer data to it from the Blackbery desktop manager I was told their was a system failure. I attempted several times to in the dialogue box to copy data and settings from another device and again a system failure appeared. I again went to BB Torch Forums and found out that there have been a number of issues with Apple Macs and back up and transfers of data to Torch 9800 .
On Saturday I contacted Telstra Mobile Technical support and was connected to a Black Berry technical solution specialist who after referring to their BB manual and speaking to colleagues informed me that they saw NO work around solution.
I am therefore appealing to Blackberry wisemen & women to inform me if there is a solution to either obtain my backup data from my Mac and or to halt the Torch 9800 from wiping out my data if I have been able to pull the battery from the device. I have been user of Blackberry devices from the pagers of 1999 and have owned and operated over 14 BBs since along with my wife who is now on her first.
I am looking forward to your reply.

But this situation happens when you enter wrong password for your BlackBerry ID , but not with device password that a user set in his device :
KB24157 : BlackBerry ID lockout behaviour .
As you're an old user as you mentioned in your post , I think you will agree that BlackBerry are the most secure devices available , if we enter wrong password to many times ( By default 10 times ) then it will initiate a wipe process , which you cannot stop my any mean.
Sorry to say but there is no way or any workaround available to stop a device wipe after it is initiated .
Reading your backup issue , have you ever done a full backup or a custom backup which atleast include your address book ! If you have it then after a wipe you can restore it from those backup files.
