Problems with hotmail deleting emails too soon....

i'm having this problem on both my iphone and my ipad. ever since i switched over to 'hotmail' in the mail settings, the phone and the pad are deleting emails after only a few days. under the mail section for "mail, contacts, calendars" i have the setting for "show" at 1000 messages, and under my hotmail account, i have the setting for "mail days to sync" set at 'unlimited'. but it still won't hold anything over 5 days old. my mac holds everything until i delete, which is great, that's what i want. so why aren't these two follow the rules and playing along?????

Guess I woke up too early as the problem as not been resolved.
Email setting at "No Limit" and have 400 email. Sort by Sender and anything marked for deletion that's not near the top of the list results in an error. Selecting 2 email that's not at top of list results in an "Undefined" error prompt. If I select a single emai for deletion I get an error prompt asking me to select at least one email.
I'm returning back to temp solution of 50 emails per page.

I have Mac Mail setup to delete all emails after one month, this includes the Sent, Junk, and Trash. However Mail is only keeping one week's worth. I use iCloud as my sole email account. This issue has been occuring for a few months now.

In iPad, open settings, Mail settings, select the account in question, click on the advanced tab. Set the to delete message like you want. I think default is 7 days.
For iPhone, I can't tell you because I don't have one. Probably similar to iPad.

After upgrading to firefox 3.6 I have problem with hotmail email service

after upgrading to firefox 3.6.4 I have problem with hotmail email service, however I can login in hotmail, I can't open mails or delet or do anything else with them.

Also, I have two computers and the other is running the exact same version of Firefox, and the exact same theme, but it does not have this problem.
To make sure I'm being clear: there is an "x" on each tab that allows me to close it when I have multiple tabs open. When I have only one tab open, there is no "x"; so in order to close the webpage I have to open another empty tab, and then close the first. My other computer has the "x" to close the tab visible even when there is only one tab so that I can close the page and have an empty (marked "(untitled)" tab). Please help!

HT1146 problem with bt/yahoo email password

I have had an email set up on my macbook air. suddenly, it started to ask me about password "imap.yahoo.mail does not recognise your password" however, when I log on via Safari I have no problem. I deleted the email, restarted my laptop and still having same problem.
I even tried to set up a different email (hotmail) and still got same pop up window showing the message "imap.yaho.mail server did not recognise your password"!
I am not sure what went wrong. Any advice?

My advice would be to ignore the email until Yahoo have had time to fix all the bugs and problems with their new email system.

IIRC, Hotmail is like Yahoo's free email - you have to pay for POP access.
If you aren't paying for a premium version of HotMail, it won't work correctly with VersaMail.

Thanks for the question. You'll want to delete and re-add your iCloud account (utilizing the new Apple ID address). When prompted, opt to keep as much information on your device as possible. The following article provides information on how to do so:

Problems with my yahoo email account using Firefox

I am using Firefox 14.0.1 and I have problems with my yahoo email account. I send an email, the receiver got a good version of my email, but when I see the same email into my sent box I see a differente text. When I use any other Internet browser, I can see a good version of my original email into the sent box.

If you have security software (antivirus, firewall etc.) installed, you can try deleting all existing instances of Firefox and related files in all the different configuration areas/modules of the security software. Instead create new allow/trusted rules for Firefox + its related processes. I am almost a total computer novice and am having what I think is the same problem Just got my first Apple computer (Macbook Pro). MSN Hotmail is my email account. All the events on my 'hotmail' account are now unreadble because they are squished to the left side of the screen and I don't find any instructions as to how to fix this in the system. This problem didn't exist when I first started using my MAC two days ago, but now I'm stuck. Everything else in my 'hotmail' seems to work fine. Don't know what Chrome or Firefox is or if there is a cost for them. Also, have never downloaded a program if any kind.
My calendar is critically important to me and I don't have a clue as to what to do now. Hope you can help.

At first I thought it might be because I was using simultaneously my old iPhone 4S so it somehow realized the emails where being pushed to another device and the it marked as read, this has nothing to do since I have deleted the email account from the iPhone 4S

We've reached out to the Hotmail team and they've determined that this is a bug in their code. (It was masked by a timing issue in 3.5 that was fixed in 3.6.) We've worked with them to develop a fix but they may not have deployed it yet.

We have been having issues with links on our email templates. Some of the links point to the following URL:

Sometimes we get “Unknown internal error” on the web page.

This is rather late, but we've seen the same thing frequently (and I believe can replicate it). It's caused when you a creating a new email by copying the content of an existing one with a name space in it.
Upon copying, the link gets scrambled. The approach we use is to copy the email in to a new template, then strip out all of the URL links and add them back in.

Personally, I would never use a debit card online, for security reasons. If your card gets hacked its your money that is stolen. At least with a credit card it is the card providers money that is stolen.
Anyway, I would delete the app and re-install. If you paid for the app in the first place you will be able to re-install free of charge. Also, the app should allow the in-app purchase to happen again as it should recognise that you have already purchased it previously.
Finally, it might be that the 3G doesnt have as much ram as more recent models of iphone and you may have applications running in the background that are preventing the app to function with the in-app purchase unless you shut down any apps eating all you memory that are running in the background. Shut-down these apps (and the simpson tap out app) by exiting to your home screen and double-tapping the home button to show what apps are running in the background. press and hold any of the open apps until it starts shaking. close all the apps down. exit then re-launch the app.

I personally haven't experienced much of the "reverberation/feedback" when using a headset on the i4S...
Yes, I have near-perfect hearing too (for scope, squeaky brakes hurt my ears) I come from many conversations on many phones and types and first off, CDMA technology is great for coverage, terrible for voice quality. HD Voice in Europe made for some of the best phone conversations I've ever had.
Back on track, feedback is most noticable (similar to the landline phone) when using the iPhone without a headset, but for me it's not an absolute criticality mainly because I use VoIP apps alot, so maybe it has desensitized me some over the past year.
But whenever I'm on a call, and the other person has me on speakerphone, I have alot of trouble talking because of the feedback loop caused. So the less of my voice I hear the better I can talk.
Have you tried a bluetooth headset yet?

I then tried getting in with Internet Explorer and it works fine. I do not like IE because I have problems with some websites.
